Maaaaan, these open world racing games need to get VR support ASAP. These types of games would be absolutely incredible for VR. Cruising around in big Assetto Corsa maps is already fun, but getting into one of these high quality AAA worlds would be a totally new level of awesome.
Played 20+ hours in Motorfest beta, this is basically what The Crew 2 should've been from the start, good game, enjoyable physics, nice variety of events. Also, runs pretty good on mid-range pc (12400f + rtx 3070 @ 1440p stable 60fps)
It also surprisingly ran on my integrated GPU. The Radeon 680M inside the Ryzen 7 6800H at max graphics, 1080p24fps. I didn't notice it was running on the iGPU just that it was a bit laggy and I was streaming on Discord too until I checked task manager.
But why did they wait so long to include EV's? I just don't get it, same for the Charger Hellcat, that has been what the community had asked for since day 1 of Crew 2 yet they spend too much time trying to copy other games, Forza included.
they are okay-ish, definitely better than last games. On wheel they felt kinda sloppy/floaty (but that was during pre-alpha test so there coule be a lot that changed)
They have never got it right and the game play doesn't give me confidence, FH is superior in this regard. Should still be fun as its new map to play but drifting is likely to arcade like.
Honestly i am so happy about this direct rivalry to Forza horizon. Competition is what made games hit their peak back in the day, an I’m really hoping it does the same to Forza. competition makes games strive to be fun, not a money grab.
I was kinda hoping for a tdu or the crew like game, those were on a different level, feels like a big downgrade in all regards vs the first tdu or crew.

small advice to drift any rwd or awd car, just lower a bit the back wheel grip in the pro setting of the car of your choice, the new physics allow to drift pretty much anything

As a long time The Crew (franchise) player, with involvement in The Crew 2's Closed Alpha, Closed Beta & Open Beta and The Crew Motorfest's Insider Program, I'm liking the improvements and new additions in the game.
Everything about this game is actually pretty good. Whats the most annoying part is the fact that buying cars is really just unecessary and for your own leisure. You cant use any of your cars in the story playlist. They give you a car. The only way is to replay races a second time with your owned car. But whos doing a race twice just to drive it with there own car. You dont even need money to buy parts to uograde your car they just give it you. The whole money and owned cars thing is just done wrong.
I personally liked it more than FH5. There's some amount of progression in Motorfest, instead of having everything handed to you at the very beginning, and sometimes even without doing anything, like FH5
I don't think Playground will be worried as it looks a lot has been taken from Forza Horizon but great to see other games picking up on quality. Interesting to see how I feel about this game as I did not like the 1st two. Also to the guy doing this video breeth 😂😂 great to see positive videos about this game though after the 1st two.
I really hope for a game like The Crew Motorfest but with sim physics. Once I played the Assetto Corsa games & iRacing I can't go back to arcade type games. I would love to be able to buy cars and get upgrade parts and have expensive cars that you worked towards in Assetto Corsa. Maybe one day

Funny how The crew's supposedly a TDU successor, and here we see each vehicle have it's own speedometer, which is a TDU feature... yet, the actual New TDU solar crown doesn't have this feature 🤔

I don't think that the blue filter will have any turn off options, because that filter is related to japan street racing events. And I don't think that all the night time events will have it since, again, that filter is only for that type of events. :>

i absolutely love how this game has more people around the cars generally, like, at a racing event before the race. it's a small thing, but it makes a huge difference when it comes to immersion. that's one of the reasons why I've disliked newer forza horizon games
As much as I think this will give Horizon a run for it's money, I think the new Motorsport will take the racing community by storm once it releases. This might be fun in the meantime, but I bet it's player base drops off drastically once October 10th rolls around
I have been gaming for over 25 years, and have lost my vision over the last 15. Going with forza because they have put a lot of work into making forza motorsport accessible. They failed with fh5 but got it right in this up coming game. I will still get motorfest but will be annoyed by how limited I am.
As someone who played an esrly build of motorfest i can confirm the physics are better than the crew 2 and horizon 5 especially on the wheel, motorfest made such an improvement its insane I've been playing the crew 2 again recently because of motorfest trying to unlock the exclusive summit cars to import to motorfest

looks like it still has the gravity physics from previous crew games where the car drops almost instantly from air-time, however a lot better than before
I wish forza would add bikes and f1 cars. It would also be cool if they added nitrous as an upgrade. It would aslo be cool if you could have a torbo and a supercharger on your car at the same time
all cars in forza has their own way to control/drive; has a very detailable components editor and is so informational... Forza is more than a beatiful game that the crew wants to be. Without forza, this woudn't exist.
I really hope the wheel support and game physics are good, atleast fh5 level or it definitely won't beat it, we really need a sim free roam game. I'm hoping test drive is on the realistic side of driving.
Test drive gameplay is out right now if you wanna see it . According to gameplay and people who played it the handling is more along the sim side then the Arcadic side which is good because I agree we need more sim like open games
I like Forza Horizon but hope the crew and test drive unlimited are fun. Competition is nice for the genre. FH5 is pretty old by now and already had its usual two expansions. This could be timed great to get that audience to check this out.
As someone whos only exposure to racing games has been FH5 with a keyboard... I gotta say, this looks a lot like if you took a Roblox driving game and turned it into a triple A game, lol. No seriously, this game really reminds me of when I used to play Wayfort (now Driving Empire) on Roblox - both have newer cars (i.e. Bugatti Bolide), have stuff like bikes in addition to cars, and if you asked me they don't look too far off in their visual style. I don't think this game is really my type but I hope it's good either way :)

Forza 5 seemed to be shallow compared to 3 or 4, hope this game will be fun, the 900 degree wheel rotation is a really nice added detail that so many games forget to add.
well it`s cool detail but the thing is that u will probably never gonna use driver perspective view as in forza, basicly coz physics still crapy... yes better than it was but it`s still "arcadish"and drift is still on the "drift cars" that actually more like pushing concrete wall a front of them than really drifting...
I think Forza is more made as a racing and car simulator and the crew is a more Arcady type racing game. Depends on what you like. Remember play what YOU like.
honestly a great looking game but by all means i dislike the physics personally, I don't like how it feels like there is a massive magnet sucking you back to the ground once you leave it, maybe this time they atleast made it so that cars can actually flip over. :I

Everything The crew had going for it was that it was a massive racing playground, where you could ride a supercar from NYC to LA. I'f im gonna be confined to an island, i'll take TDU Solar Crown over another The Crew any day of the week
Yeah I rather play SC than TC motorfest. SC will give me a break from the horizon series whenever I just wanna cruise and chill out in the city at night. The crew motorfest still is too Arcady for me
See my problem with The Crew games is that you cant play offline.. I play games on my rog ally and im on the move a lot, so having forza to play because its offline is a huge thing for me

Ok so.. looks like these guys genuinely looked at Horizon and saw what was missing and what players were asking for. Could be wrong but from the reveal trailer and from this video it looks like its going to be a unique and fresh experienece in the genre.
Oh i know about gravity, but shit dont just instantly fall, issues in the crew games is that some cars cant even jump cause they have so much ground magnetism they just plop instantly when going off a ramp, meaning they are instantly on the ground again

The filter is just for the playlist. Every playlist has their filter. You won’t have a filter in freeroaming

I think the simple fact that you can turn your car mid air will just not destroy forza. Not at all.
Forza 5 seemed to be shallow compared to 3 or 4, hope this game will be fun, the 900 degree wheel rotation is a really nice added detail that so many games forget to add.

well it`s cool detail but the thing is that u will probably never gonna use driver perspective view as in forza, basicly coz physics still crapy... yes better than it was but it`s still "arcadish"and drift is still on the "drift cars" that actually more like pushing concrete wall a front of them than really drifting...

I think Forza is more made as a racing and car simulator and the crew is a more Arcady type racing game. Depends on what you like. Remember play what YOU like.

honestly a great looking game but by all means i dislike the physics personally, I don't like how it feels like there is a massive magnet sucking you back to the ground once you leave it, maybe this time they atleast made it so that cars can actually flip over. :I

Everything The crew had going for it was that it was a massive racing playground, where you could ride a supercar from NYC to LA. I'f im gonna be confined to an island, i'll take TDU Solar Crown over another The Crew any day of the week
Sc is the real Forza Competitor the graphics are almost as good as the trailer amazing looking game hope the physics are okay too.

See my problem with The Crew games is that you cant play offline.. I play games on my rog ally and im on the move a lot, so having forza to play because its offline is a huge thing for me

You can test drive every vehicle in the game for 2 minutes and it will never let you not stop test driving and there’s also boo cool down

Ok so.. looks like these guys genuinely looked at Horizon and saw what was missing and what players were asking for.
Could be wrong but from the reveal trailer and from this video it looks like its going to be a unique and fresh experienece in the genre.

Oh i know about gravity, but shit dont just instantly fall, issues in the crew games is that some cars cant even jump cause they have so much ground magnetism they just plop instantly when going off a ramp, meaning they are instantly on the ground again

@@GhosteRUclips and there is a thing called momentum which would also carry the car forward before it would plummit to the ground, what i am talking about is a ramp that would set a car up for a 20 meter jump resulting in a 1 meter jump cause The crew physics are SUPER wonk

the problem i have with new car games is the fact that they are all about festivals and legal racing i want underground illegal racing with police chases and just illegal stuff with cars

Everything about this game is actually pretty good. Whats the most annoying part is the fact that buying cars is really just unecessary and for your own leisure. You cant use any of your cars in the story playlist. They give you a car. The only way is to replay races a second time with your owned car. But whos doing a race twice just to drive it with there own car. You dont even need money to buy parts to uograde your car they just give it you. The whole money and owned cars thing is just done wrong.
I’m really happy that a similar game to forza is coming to PlayStation, but it would never beat Forza’s graphics, physics and races
