Canucks had about 2 shots on goal in the second period, and the Oilers had more then twice the shots in total in the whole game. At one point the shots was 6-18 for the Oilers. If you are wondering what went wrong with this game, just like in game 4, the Canucks just let the Oilers do what they wanted to do, and didn't create any shots on goal. With no shots, no opportunities or chances. Passing around to each-other because they can't find an opening is Canucks essence when they are playing bad. Garland usually is the one being creative and opens up space but you only heard about his name in this game when it was a penalty, and Hughes is like afraid of shooting. He did one great shot though but Skinner made a beautiful save. If Canucks are going to win game 7 they have to give their all might, and create as many shots on goal as possible.

Play like you wanna be a hero? Then Cole is bound to be Edmontons hero! The team needs to get their power play going, anyone can just be a hero, but it doesn’t mean forget the fact you got 4 other guys on the ice, play solid defence, attack when you can, stop playing dump and dash…it doesn’t work with Edmonton. They will exploit this, especially when the Canucks decide to do a line change when they dump and dash, it creates odd man rushes and we get burned every time. Also our key players needs to wake up! Stop being the “hero” if there’s no shot pass it off, if you’re being boxed it by 4 of their guys, look for that open guy in the middle. Lindholm had a perfect opportunity to pass it to Boeser, but Lindholm wanted to be the hero.
