Amazing talk about Microservices, with barely touching on microservices! Address not only the technically view but the mindset behind actions, just beautiful!
Eh... I know SQL good enough to write human readable queries and design scalable relational database schemas, even with proper CQRS-ES and AAA. There are way too many folks, who believe in microservice magic, and not that many who really understands the added complexity and limitations. So, what about the limitations of microservices persistence, and what about the additional storage overhead - how does it impacts cost efficiency compared to more complex storage models ? It just bothers me that modern developers have no idea about the concept of controllable denormalization, and how it impacts the eventual consistency in CQRS-ES based setups (i.e. throughput and availability) and storage segregation in general.

When you talked about stores procedure being a part of the 80’s, I felt attacked lol.
43:41 That would be a good use case for Spring Cloud Stream where you do transformations.
Very good presentation
at 31:19, did he mean the technology ''xyz" was Apache Kafka?
