chbrules is kind of on the right track (no pun) - magazines are sort of geezer fodder these days. You need an internet presence in this era and that means you have to have video. And that, for most of us, means a RUclips channel. It's still good to have the words, but cars really benefit from being in motion.
Steve went to Auto Express to jazz up their videos and now great to see he's with Evo now that Jethro and Henry have decamped to Drivetribe. A class act and enthusiastic as usual.
What a perfect review. No point talking about the driving dynamics as they are identical to the 570s. What we want to know is how it sounds with the roof down. Well done Steve!
My Brain Hurts I started to laugh when i saw your picture, i instantly remember the scketch and the line "_My brain hurts."... guess what happened when i red your nickname? LOL
So the original EVO journalists went to DriveTribe, and Steve left Auto Express for EVO. Sounds good to me, looks like everybody is making progress in there carriers. Glad to see EVO still exist tho!
Rather than ferret thro' 188 comments.. does anyone know where this superb piece of road is located.? Thank you. And Steve S is one [ of only 3 ] of the best writers on the English scene.. delighted to see him here. Regards. WF
If the coupe is 100% this would be 95% is, he's mistaken in thinking the weight comes from just the roof, it does not, it's actually reinforcement across the windscreen, seats, doors. BUT, that doesn't protect you in the event your hands slide out. And most certainly won't protect you if something intrudes in the driver's head. This is why this kind of car is very much dangerous.
46kg is quite a lot of extra weight. I'd rather it was a manual roof personally. If McLaren brought out a 46kg lighter version of the 570S they would be making a big deal out of the weight difference. If I loved the way the 570S looked then this would be high on my list of dream cars. Fortunately, I think it's merely quite nice to look at.
All these car reviewers leaving channels i already associated them with has got me really confused. Thank god you guy's still haven't lost your touch, it's been a while
So the question is, why should one buy a 570S when the Spider is exactly as good and with the advantage of taking the roof down whenever you like? I'm sure the price difference isn't an issue for people that can afford this kind of cars.
So glad Steve is on this channel
+Art Vandelay Are you going to write that everywhere?
Evo still exists!
EVO is primarily a magazine, not a youtube channel.
or where good car journalism lives
said the same thing.lol

Steve went to Auto Express to jazz up their videos and now great to see he's with Evo now that Jethro and Henry have decamped to Drivetribe. A class act and enthusiastic as usual.
Sutcliffe on EVO? Time to end the Auto Express subscription then..
What a perfect review. No point talking about the driving dynamics as they are identical to the 570s. What we want to know is how it sounds with the roof down. Well done Steve!
Great to see you at EVO, Steve Suthcliff!
Thumbs up if this is your favourite colour in the spider?! Saw this in Harrods and it is just magnificent.
Redline in London has the cheapest 570s spider in the UK up for sale in this colour
The camerawork and cinematography in this video are on point, gents. Well done.
Welcome back EVO!
Steve thanks so very much for that awesome video, It actually feels like one is in the car enjoying that sound. Pure Emotion🔥
Steve is back
My Brain Hurts
I started to laugh when i saw your picture, i instantly remember the scketch and the line "_My brain hurts."... guess what happened when i red your nickname?

Awesome color combination
steve + evo = yes! always loved evo's production more. even their photos in the magazines look better.
With Steve on board EVO officially back to life
That color is gorgeous.
It's so beautiful in this particular colour. The interior is gorgeous too. Tremendously classy!
Steve's voice-over creates such a nice, soothing atmosphere.
nice to see steve back..
Welcome back Steve!!
Great to have Steve Sutcliffe on Evo magazine, needed after Henry Catchpole left.

So the original EVO journalists went to DriveTribe, and Steve left Auto Express for EVO. Sounds good to me, looks like everybody is making progress in there carriers. Glad to see EVO still exist tho!
Welcome to Evo Steve..
I love this car because I think it looks great with the top down but also with the top up!
omg !!! steve is on evo!!!!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Best sounding Mclaren after the F1. Pick of the entire current range really *hand movements like Sutlcliff*
EVO best reviews, as always
Steve! Would've been absolute overkill of he'd gone to DriveTribe, would've been game over for Evo, Autocar and the likes.
I'm getting one of these next year
So just 6+ minutes of Steve reviewing the engine noise...
Yes, please
Steve is more suited for Evo. Good times
mmmmm imagine driving this along a coast road in summer on a reeeeally sunny and perfect day 😍
Wow awesome cinema photography
We spotted you filming this in Montserrat a week ago! :D
Rather than ferret thro' 188 comments.. does anyone know where this superb piece of road is located.? Thank you.
And Steve S is one [ of only 3 ] of the best writers on the English scene.. delighted to see him here. Regards. WF
wow I was surprised to hear Steve's vocie on Evo ! is it better than LP580-2Spyder ?
Glad to see your reviews again.
Just don't get in a Jaguar with Antonio Pizzonia driving, ok?
My buddy just picked his up. Such a sick car
My buddy is picking up a 90s Honda civic. Such a Pos car.
Such a different world we live in Buddy :'D
Zhemin Lin my friend is a trust fund baby lol his parents bought him a gtr for his first car in high school. It's ridiculous
which country is the test drive being done in
Steves back!😁
Just one question -- how to Spiders ensure safety in the event of a rollover? Is the windshield frame that strong?
Yes it is
If the coupe is 100% this would be 95% is, he's mistaken in thinking the weight comes from just the roof, it does not, it's actually reinforcement across the windscreen, seats, doors. BUT, that doesn't protect you in the event your hands slide out. And most certainly won't protect you if something intrudes in the driver's head. This is why this kind of car is very much dangerous.
...is the steering electrohydraulic or conventional hydraulic?
Where was this video shot?
Lee 1
I was wondering about this, awesome place.
Lee 1 Spain, outside Barcelona
Yeah Steve!
Man I miss this channel
Heyyyy evo's back! :D
All hail Steve Sutcliffe!
Sounds good!
Sutcliffe...YES!!
In 5 years....pick one of these up the same price as a new base 911, nice!
570S is so underrated
ITS GOTTA BE MY NEXT CAR!
Yay for the addition of Steve Sutcliffe, as he was being wasted on Autocar.
All these car reviewers leaving channels i already associated them with has got me really confused. Thank god you guy's still haven't lost your touch, it's been a while
Wait. Sutcliffe is on EVO AND Auto Express now?
Novemdecillion don't think so. But when you're this good, you can be wherever tje hell u want
hmm...interesting sound. I wonder how any modern McLaren will sound without turbos on the V8's.
excellent job , beutiful quality
See you soon, boi
Wowwww 5:20 is insane
Yes!!!!!!! Sutty!!!!!
lol the automotive journalist industry is damn competitive!
it's all change: Henry Catchpole to Carfection and now Steve Sutcliffe to EVO. What's going on!?
So the question is, why should one buy a 570S when the Spider is exactly as good and with the advantage of taking the roof down whenever you like? I'm sure the price difference isn't an issue for people that can afford this kind of cars.
sutcliffe rocks
Steve the Boss :)
unsubscibing to auto express
Did he leave AE?
The 2 channels are affiliated somehow I think.
Where's Catchpole? I like to say his name. Catchpole. Sideburns kick ass.
He went to DriveTribe and now moved to Carfection
Wolverine also does great reviews.. Let's have a look @ Carfection then.
Where the hell is this filmed?
Spain I believe.
If I by a spyder supercar it would be this one because you don’t loss nothing if you compre it with a coupe supercar
Woohoo, Steve. 👍
Drive tribe is my new Phone Evo
His posture makes my spine hurt.
Autocar or evo?
Whats going on with them presenters switching channels lately? :D
Nice car but I'll take an R8 for the "real" engine song of a n/a engine.
niiiiice !!!!!!!
The best think in Mclarens is that they weight nothing.
540c, 540gt, 570s, 570s spider, 570gt, 650s coupe, 650s spider, 675 lt spider, 675 lt, 750s.
Too many?
Nope
Go see Porsche... this is not even half of one series.
Not to mention BMW..
The 650S isn't in production any more and the 750S doesn't exist (I know...it was a typo), so no :)
the more models the better. more people will buy them. pretty hard to please the whole customer range
Steve great George Mıcheal glasses
Mclaren is as innovative as Tesla in supercars world
Not a fan of Steve. Bunch of generic comments and pretentious as hell
46kg:??
GT-R
