you are scoring by the fact that you are without pretense ....you can see the joy on your face face.... you can't believe your luck and that's what we would all feel like doing the same thing so we live vicariously through you....You present exceptionally well and it's so nice to see that you are not complacent or nonchalant about the whole thing ....I hope you gain more traction....keep your enthusiasm up that is your USP...
Oh goodness Peter, this is so good. I'm very impressed. What a car to be on the receiving end of your mature, friendly and very knowledgeable presentation and review.
Good review and what a opportunity to take the car out on the roads. Love the blue on it as well. McLaren are making some amazing cars now. They sure have come a long way in a short time.
You're certainly getting your hands on some impressive motors Peter. Your channel just keeps getting better & I'm delighted I found it. This is definitely a well balanced, well sorted car, the blue exterior against the interior is stunning. You've opened my eyes to the world of supercars & I'm hooked. Cheers, Geof
Ive been watching you for quite a few months now. You're good & the invitation is testament to your growing channel. I would however like to hear some of the things that arent so great about the cars you get to drive as nothing is perfect and it would good to hear where these brands have failed on, not done such a great job compared to its competitor, what could be improved, etc. I know you mentioned about being a new channel, but its not what you say, its how you say it. You have a range of experiences in different cars now that should be getting compared to each other regarding who's stepping up their game and who's just relying on their name. Just a thought. It would also be good to see the fatest versions of everyday cars and how they compare with each other. Keep up the good work though.
Thanks for the comment. Interestingly, I did actually do a piece to camera in the car about being criticised for not saying negative things about the cars I get to drive. I was struggling with the film being too long so I edited it out. I do try and be fair whilst striking the balance of building relationships with brands. For example, in my recent RS7 review I did say I didn't think the gearbox was quick enough. I my Type R review I said it didn't make enough noise. I must say that the 570S is very difficult to fault, it really is very good. Maybe the only thing is getting on and out is a bit tricky as it has large sills. I will take you comments on-board though and I'm glad you enjoyed my review. Cheers PETER
Had a convertible Ford Mustang in California driving down the epic highway 1 coast road. It felt really windy and noisy. Now, living in wild, wet Glasgow, it's no place for a convertible. I'm from Leeds and I can't believe how much it rains here-phenomenal! Nice Petrol Ped Jacket.....Can you send me one? Amar
Just discovered your channel with this video. Great informative and fun film. I too, love the 570S Spider and think it's almost a perfect all- round usable car. Keep up the good work - subscribing!
Hi Gavin. Great that you enjoyed the video and even better that you have Subscribed. Welcome to the channel. I must admit, this car was difficult to fault :-)
Great review Peter, thoroughly enjoyed it. Living close to Manchester McLaren in Knutsford I see a lot on the local roads, the 570S Spider is by far the best looking of the current model line up; all proportions feel just right. I was surprised how quickly it gathered speed with literally no effort, I'm guessing their wasn't much useable footage from the speedo camera :-)
Lovely car Peter. Great video as usual. UK roads not the best place for supercars though! Too bumpy but would imagine this would be great fun on the track. Cheers. Jon.
I tested the 570S immediately after a 458 spider, and it was a fascinating comparison. McLaren deserve a big pat on the back to have become a true competitor for Ferrari in such a short time. The Mclaren gearbox was undoubtedly better in use than the Ferrari equivalent and the ride in the 570S was better over the usually bad british road surfaces. I preferred the non turbo Ferrari engine because the McLaren had a bit of turbo lag and the unnecessary exhaust pops and bangs always irritate. Internally the Macca instrumentation was a fascinating piece of modern technology, the seats were comfortable and the car was a generally nice place to be. But somehow, and I would have difficulty saying why, the McLaren interior wasnt as special as the Ferrari. And in a way that sums up the overall experience. The British car is every bit as good a piece oif enginerring as the Ferrari but simply not as special. Not for me, anyway.
Hi Howard, really interesting to here you comments and I totally get them. I actually drove both cars back to back at a Supercar day but drove the Ferrari first. I was amazed by the 458s steering ! They are both very special cars for different reasons.
Another good video. Is it too easy to drive fast? Is it more of a daily than a weekend toy? I like the fact you can lose the rear screen with the roof up - reminds me of my Tuscan (that's the only similarity of course).
Been thinking about your videos. You, Chris Harris and Howard Richie (HR in a Car). That's my choice to do BBC's Top Gear so we can finally get rid of the superfluous 2 who currently do it with Chris Harris. Then I'd start watching it again.
Hi Peter, the can be no doubt this is a great car but it comes across in this video the is a computer always calculating your input and the computer saves you. So the question I have do you feel this car dose all the work and the guy behind the wheel just points and and hits the loud pedal. ? If this is true and I’m correct then why buy this car when you can have the same fun in. Audi R8 v10+ and save a few quid at the same time. Peter don’t get me wrong it’s a great car but I’m just not 100% sold on this I think I would have more fun in a Ferrari 488GTB they let’s you make mistakes but will save you if need be and not interfere with the whole driving experience as ever a great video Best wishes Alan B..
Hi Alan. To some extent you are right. In the driving modes I was using the car is there helping you not make a mistake. That doesn't detract from the driving enjoyment, in fact for me it adds to it as you can push on in confidence. If you are a more experience driver or are on a track then there are still the Sport Traction and Traction Control Off setting to play with. You are then on your own...I didn't play with those. I have driven and R8 V10 Plus on the road and it too is a very special car and will look after you. It is Quattro and has lots of systems to help. Not driven the 488 but I am sure it will be similar. The 570S is just so useable in everyday conditions but you still have to be able to drive ;-)
When you like cars, and are a New Zealander, McLaren is very special, but if you owned any of thses cars with buttons for this and that, after you played with them, how often would you change things?
You get an email from McLaren? I only get emails from RussianBrides.com (Which I don't need as my missus would kill me!), haveabiggerpenis.com (Which, again, my missus, nor I, need!) and some very nice bloke in Nigeria who want's to give me 20% of £250,000. Not replied to him just yet as sorting out my bank details for him :-) and you get one from McLaren!!?? What am I doing wrong? EDIT - Great review again.
Great video, but i have to be honest in my opinion it just lacks soul, flappy paddles just dont do it for me. It lacks feel. The McLaren or a f40? I know which way i would go. Classic cars that have a proper 5 speed manual gearbox is life.
nice review pete, have you ever thought where have the days gone where you buy a brand new car IE SIERRA COSWORTH or even an ESCORT RS TURBO with a list of mods as long as your arm,5" rolled tip stainless exhaust,a SPAX suspension lowering kit and a turbo the size of a tumble drier, when you buy a MCLAREN and they give you the keys, you drive out the showroom feeling abit giddy, want to smile like a cheshire cat but hold it back incase anyone is looking, this is a MCLAREN what more could i do to possibly do to this car to mod it???,I know ill try an after market exhaust,A LARINI ONE,,this is the entry level 540C imagine it on the 570S,time for headphones pete ruclips.net/video/WLdFRRmxFqc/видео.html
570S isn't the best circuit car, when you back to back test it against say a 675Lt the 570 feels very unstable at speed but strangely quicker in a straight line thanks to Aero or the lack of it.
I am sure there are better cars out there. The 675LT is designed as a track focussed car so it doesn't surprise me that it is better on a track. Sadly, I've not driven one yet :-( The 570S is a stunning all-round package and even more impressive when you consider it is the 'entry level' McLaren after to 540 !
IMHO you want to skip the LT for the 720s, for the money it's hands down the best all rounder (and not just in the current Mclaren range) don't forget Mclaren haven't changed the tub since the 12c so the 720s is the first new platform and honestly you can really tell.

Thanks for this feedback. It means a great deal. I hope I never get complacent about how very lucky I am 👌
It's great you are getting invited to these things now, it's well deserved! 👍
Thanks David. I am starting to get asked to some cool things. I also write a lot of emails and get no replies ;-)
Oh goodness Peter, this is so good. I'm very impressed. What a car to be on the receiving end of your mature, friendly and very knowledgeable presentation and review.
Thanks Andrew. It was quite a car and I really tried to make a good video to do it justice ;-)
If it aint raining get the top down. The very words I (also) live by 😊👍
No.1 rule of driving 😜
At last a review by someone who does not act or sound big headed also very informative. I am very fortunate to be owning one in March 2018.
Wow...you lucky thing ! This is probably the best car I have ever driven :-)
*Mate that's so awesome! What an opportunity to drive that! Great video mate!*
+Stef ABtv Cheers Stef. It was an amazing car. Need to step up my editing to get close to you. That 124 intro was superb 👍
Petrol Ped cheers mate :) looking forward to releasing that tomorrow morning!
Good review and what a opportunity to take the car out on the roads. Love the blue on it as well. McLaren are making some amazing cars now. They sure have come a long way in a short time.
Agreed. The attention to detail in them is amazing !
Great review. Good to see OEM’s are inviting you to test there latest cars!! Well deserved.
Cheers Chris. Hopefully I can get to do more of this :-)
You're certainly getting your hands on some impressive motors Peter. Your channel just keeps getting better & I'm delighted I found it. I'm hooked too ! This is only the second mid-engined supercar I've driven on the public road. the other was an R8 V10 Plus, and I want more now :-)
Great video once again! It's amazing these opportunities you're getting now, and I suppose it can only get better!
Let's hope so Buddy :-)

Great job (again) Peter, loving your content and presentation. Well done.
Thanks Stephen. Glad you are enjoying my content :-)
Cracking Video . Well done. Shame you didnt get a chance to round the Circuit as well.
That would have been awesome !

That is why I live on the South Coast ;-)
Might do some merch next year :-)
Great video! I wish i could get one of them emails..
I'd like more of them too !

Hi Gavin. Great that you enjoyed the video and even better that you have Subscribed. Welcome to the channel. I must admit, this car was difficult to fault :-)
Just waiting for my euro millions ticket to cash in and my order will be in. Great car, great review Peter good to see the invites you are getting 👍🏁🏁
That is why I buy a ticket every week...so far the most I have won is about £5 !!
Another very good video! Love your enthusiasm :)
Cheers...hard not to be enthusiastic :-)
McLaren have come a long way in a short period of time. Impressive.
It is amazing, especially as they make everything (engine, gearbox etc)
Good to see you kept it below 60mph Ped ! I would have been tempted to take it up to 65 or so, blow the cobwebs away ........
I might have done that off camera ;-)
I had a feeling you might have, hahaha!
Great review Peter, thoroughly enjoyed it. Just got back from London (Family Wedding) We have space for 4 but... We need to cut our cloth 😉
Lovely car Peter. Great video as usual. UK roads not the best place for supercars though! Too bumpy but would imagine this would be great fun on the track. Cheers. Jon.
This dealt with ours B roads really well :-)
Very nice review. Subscribed.

It is a superb bit of kit 👌

Beautiful car,in my wildest dreams sadly.Yes kerbs and lorrys have become my worst nightmare since buying my Audi TTs 😳
My wildest dreams too...well certainly owning one !
Petrol Ped Well if I sell my organs then maybe 😂 Could hire one for the day 🤔😁
Test the 570GT, I will be interested on which one you would go for, a dilemma I currently have
Great video thanks

So how do we start to get this into practice?
Nice vid Pete!
