A house that has saved many many souls from self destruction. Every town should have one for those less fortunate than others. Walk a mile in another man’s shoes before casting judgment

Thank you so much for uploading this. Lived in Camden forever and it’s an important part of our history. God bless these old boys who worked so hard building and maintaining London for all.

Excellent documentary, thanks for the upload. I found it quite moving as I'm currently homeless and have lived a similar life to a lot of these men i.e. no roots so I can relate. I caught a sense of the genuine hearts of the staff who appeared to have a real emotional investment in their roles, a lot of good souls there, tenants and staff.

There is a similar place in Fieldgate Street in Whitechapel, I think that they were originally built by Lord Rowton.

The man who appears at 5:35 looks identical to the Arlington resident who appeared in an elderly poverty documentary a several years later which is also on RUclips. Only here he is called "Lou" and in the other documentary was called "Fred". If it is the same man in the other documentary he had gotten a lot frailer and made one final trip to his childhood village.
