For example, if in 1975, the South Vietnam government retreated from Saigon to Phu Quoc Island. And has always been independent of North Vietnam, but its country name has always been Republic of Vietnam instead of Phu Quoc .can you understand ?

but the Communist Vietnam in the north is getting stronger and stronger internationally.
In order to distinguish from communist Vietnam, people on Phu Quoc Island began to use Phu Quoc to replace the Republic of Vietnam, and even many people began to think that they were just phu quoc people rather than Vietnamese in order to stay away from communism. So they will say we are phuquocnese not Vietnamese, my country is phuquoc not Vietnam .

Taiwan is a miracle created by a truly great people. I was amazed the many times I visited this republic devoted to democracy and personal freedom. A great nation was built in less then 70 years by sweat, blood, and a patriotic military.
please refer to it as the Republic of China. it is created after the Xinhai revolution of 1911 which saw the end of the Chinese dynasties. It is incorrect to refer it to as "Taiwan" while talking about its 110 years of history. There are a total of 4 republics in its life span.
The parade was celebrating the 80th National day 30 years ago, why did you say less than 70 years?
I'm really surprised and also impressed the Taiwan army once using this marching in the past.

The infantry unit in this parade was my dad's unit. I forgot the name, but they've since been disbanded since the army downsized in the recent years.
My dad remembers going to the 1992 and 1993 parades to retrieve the humvees that his unit had used during the parades.
May I ask for the time stamp of your dad’s unit appearance? Maybe there might be subtle hints that can identify it or at least the branch it was in.

@@Goedendag28 At 1:21 is my dad's unit. The "虎嘯部隊" or Tiger Howl Unit. It's the 677th Brigade of the 226th Division under the Guandu Area Command in Northern Taiwan stationed in the New Taipei area around Tamsui.

I am Chinese American but from mainland China and I am not trying to offend any Taiwanese citizens but in my opinion, this March doesn't have enough consistency, if you look at the men marching they have their arms and leg go up super high, but then for women their legs and arms barely move. Plus I just think that when marching, the arms and legs shouldn't go too high. I prefer the Chinese hell march more but the Taiwanese uniforms are very cool
