This is based one No.1 moba in china which is actually good, the lore of the world is fully established and the abilities of the characters is based on the original. I'm very excited for this its been 2 yrs since they 1st announced this game.
Honor of Kings is a great game and would probably actively compete with league if released on PC, it already destroys Wild Rift and is more played than, as someone who plays league and used to be an active HoK player, actually the best mid laner in my city (the game shows you those statistics) I can't tell you this company knows what they're doing, they also have has collabs with the likes of Knights of the Zodiac in the form of both skins and characters and Sailor Moon meaning there's a lot of cross over potential with this game, I hope it's good but I won't lie that it looks kinda mid besides the graphics
@@alexzeng9833HOK would not complete with League. It's popular in China because it's a simplified Moba for mobile. On PC, even Chinese players wouldnt play HOK over League. The reason WR isnt doing so great is because PC players look down on mobile games in the west, while mobile players are already invested in other Mobas.
The movement and exploration looks pretty interesting from the trailer alone. Hopefully there's a revamp to the character models because Tectone is right about how forgettable it makes them look. On the other hand, the combat aesthetics are insanely impressive and Douluo Dalu anime graphics aren't too bad to look at.

Gameplay doesn't look good, it looks flashy. Also, some people would prefer non-forgettable characters, you're a gameplay andy, but other may like to connect with their characters. That's why people pull. They want to play who they like. If no one is likeable, there is far less players. @@youness4247

If the characters are going to be the heroes from Honor of Kings MOBA then they need no revamp, since they are already well know and loved for who plays the game, the first time i played i also thought they weren't really memorable but their desing and gameplay compensate for the first impression, the thing is that people who play genshin are already accustomed with anime desing, which is ironical since most anime share similar body desing, but you guys are not going to have much problem remembering the characters probably
I love how almost every streamer uses Genshin as a standard quality to judge the new openworld game if it good or not😂😂😂

It set a precedent for gacha games that want to do open worlds, it should at least look visually appealing and have fleshed out animations. Now I'm waiting for an open world gacha that looks just as good while actually playing well, not sure how achievable that is though since it's something only triple a games with their massive budgets have done

Yeh , so Honor of Kings is the tencent version of League of legends that a lot of chinese people plays on mobile if they dont play LOL , and this is their version of MMORPG (maybe) or its just a solo open world.
We can see they put their champions in the game , the pink hair with the double dagger is MuLan for exemple.
The puppet man Yuange is also a champion in the game.
All the character expect the MC you see is a playable character from the moba game

I, for one, really enjoy the minimal HUD. Ever since i've played Witcher 3 with Friendly HUD mod. I wish more games had this. In short, show me HP bar when in combat, show me minimap when i want to / when im using a mount. Highly customizable, but simply put, give me things like that, otherwise hide the whole HUD.
This one, single mod completely changed the way i see game interfaces.
The stufff that isn't cutscenes in the trailer looks a lot like the 'Genshinn remade in Unreal engine' demo that popped up not too long ago. Combat takes huge influence from Tower of Fantasy... Let's hope greed doesn't destroy it.
it looked like what tower of fantasy showed, and mostly likely will perform like tower of fantasy because some of the movement dont look too fluid, you can notice when they spam dashs the characters straightup slide around
Considering this is honor of kings. This will not be Tower of Fantasy. Honor of Kings MOBA is the highest grossing mobile game in the world and in China. Ten cent has massive money and this game is already famous

@@djay00009 that's the thing... it will be massively popular in China, but idk about global(similar to Honor of Kings). at least I don't think it will be popular in japan, one of the biggest gacha market. and the characters are not appealing to me, almost at all. everything else is cool tho.
@@unkxz9149 yeh I think it’s aim is mainly the Chinese market. It wants to compete for this gacha genre in China as it already has the MOBA genre locked. If there is a game that can compete with Genshin in China , it is probably this one and it is rooted in Chinese culture. People also know these heroes so this is likely to be good in China. The other markets would likely not see it being as popular.

This game looks incredible, probably runs extremely well on PC while mobile users are gonna get downgraded graphics and 30fps locked IF it goes to global , most of these Chinese games tend to take a while before they get localized..btw the games character designs come the MOBA of the same name if I’m not mistaken

There is a mobile MOBA named "Honor of Kings" thats going to release soon and this games name is "Honor of Kings: World" So both are connected and take place in the same universe. Hell they share the same symbol with the two circles.

the game is based on Mobile MOBA games called Honor of Kings (globally known as Arena of Valor)
The thing that makes games like this fail is that the trailers make you think this could take the throne the genshin's undeserving ass is sitting down on, but miss the mark in what genshin had nailed in order to survive this long are 3 things.
1)unique art style that had never been done before.
2) character design and attention to detail that captivates the player.
3) Keeping everything so stupidly simple, even a 5-year-old could understand what the heck is going on without any other individuals guidance. It is so simple that spending money is only a matter of a few clicks.
Add that to the predatory practices that basically make it seem necessary to spend even even when you don't, you got top earning gatcha of the year people.
If a gatcha game can make these same things work, only better, we might just have a game that beats genshit infart.
This looks like the kind of game that my phone would run at 10 fps when in combat.
The base game is a MOBA game by tencent and timi from China, the all the characters are based off from the MOBA

theres a beta server out rn, but unfortunately we can't speak anything about the game yet because we signed a paper of 200k rmb, and someone was charged for 754k rmb for sending a 3 minutes video when he not supposed to.
But I can say the in game graphics is very very very close to the pv, you can run it easily with a 3070, and yes its a pc game, and also yes it's a gacha game

For people who DONT know ANYTHING about HoK ( Honor of Kings ) its a Chinese 5v5 moba mobile game. Ngl I love it but there is NO EN severs or versions to play the game on.
Now HoK World is a spin off of the game that involves certain characters from the moba in a more RPG setting. It is also a Chinese games, but both are on the high end on graphics, design, art direction, combat movement ( World ), and fluidity.
Also Nexon doesnt own both of them.
There is en version but only available in brazil, it already won awards in br as well :D

1:34 Chinese smart phones are very affordable these days, people pay $300 to get a phone with decent specs. Able to run genshin smoothly is the most basic requirement.
Not only a click bait title, but also an insult to what many people call 2,5D or anime cell shading graphics. Genshin by design has 2D anime styled graphics and it takes a lot of work to turn a 3D world and characters to look like they are 2D. Its like saying that 3D CGI movies look better than anime. And every otaku/weeb will tell you gtfo.
I pc wouldn't even be able to run this at 30fps...
For now they said that it will be for PC, XBOX and PS5. So no phones
