@@JB-sv5pr There's 4-rotor RX-7's with far more stock parts than what Rob is building. It's doable, but it depends on what you want to use it for. If it's only track days, then Rob's RX may make sense, but for more daily-driving stuff, you'll keep most of the changes 'under the hood', so to say.

That wasn't aluminum; hopefully, you knew that and were just offering extra advice. I have found that moving too slow, with too little heat, makes it harder to get nice beads on either metal. Running hot and fast can help reduce heat input into the part. X2 on consistency.

Use a spacer to mount the dash away from the metal sheet. then the wires stay on that side. Good luck!

Get some bags of sand or something to put on the bottom of the engine stand thing to help keep it stable

The reason Race cars have alot of manual switches is for easy redundency, like if your car catches fire the ecu wont neccicerialy know, but with a massive kill switch you can turn off fuel pumps just like that. Just a consideration if your going to be drifting at 300mph yeeeew

Rob please build up more support on your engine stand. The torque from that motor is going to rip that thing apart and throw your engine on the ground. You've got vertical support for gravity but no cross bracing at all. Also hoping you ground the engine stand properly so you don't short your electronics
