The main issue is that for normal business website owners, this is simply over the top. They don't understand what it means and its way too complicated for people to fix for themselves. Google punishing sites for these issues is not user friendly, its simply making things really complicated and difficult for normal people.
I kind of agree. I mean poor UX is just bad so can't necessarily blame Google for it... but this in turn is forcing website builders to create out of the box solutions for this. Like Webstudio is crushing it... webstudio.is/?via=createtoday (aff link)
@@johnsicili Yes poor UX is bad, but Google Analytics is terrible for slowing sites down, Google Adsense Auto Ads cause CLS issues and the new 'recommended' Google issued EU-complaint cookie/permission script, used by hundreds of thousands of sites, has a font lookup from Google which not only increases JS scripting time, but also causes multiple other issues which then affect the lighthouse scores that Google are using to grade your website!! Exasperating.
@@johnsicili that would be awesome thank you. I’ve got an image in each page uploaded for the social image so I really don’t understand the error on Ahrefs. It’s saying to add an open graph code but I thought Duda tags it correctly automatically?
Try using a throttle in lighthouse. It’s possible you have much better internet than your users. So if you slow your internet down it might exaggerate the CLS
This was really helpful, thanks for sharing! Fingers crossed I get lucky with my CLS issues too!
Appreciate this! YOU are welcome to email me your site (email is on my about page) and I can take a quick look.
I'd love a tutorial on how to fix LCP issues please.

this is overkill. does the damn thing load? yes, ok fine. Now we're scrutinizing the way that it loads. gimme a break.
Hey John, could you pleaaaaaaaase do a video on how to fix "open graph tags incomplete" in Duda?
I'll look into this, thanks!

The problem I have is that I see no issue with lighthouse but do see in pagespeed, which it's what google actually use for search console .
