To help with hydration, I wet my hands before applying and use it all over: face, lips, hands, body. This is does better than any other oil/moisturizer I’ve used for dehydrated yet oily face and dry body skin. Thanks for the help your channel brings to us looking for natural solutions.

I love how perfectly pure and natural it is, and how safe it is for their skin. You can use it for a skin moisturizer and a diaper cream. For babies, I usually stick with unscented that does not contain any essential oils. :)

I am just concerned that many bloggers may just be doing a circle of parroting each other without checking the facts, please could you direct me to any sources that prove tallow contains vitamin A and K?

All I can find is a study on reindeer saying that the tallow from them has vitamin B12 but that it has no vitamin D!!! I will get to bottom of this eventually but it really seems to me that people are making false claims about beef tallow containing vitamin A and K because I would expect it to be easier to find official sources and not just bloggers saying whatever they want without linking to source to back it up.

Thank you so much! I haven't had access to bison tallow yet, but from the research I've done, tallow from grass fed bison (I think they're typically 100% grass fed) is very similar to beef tallow. I think you could pretty much interchange them. Hope that helps!

Hello! I have a question about storage. In your previous video about storing rendered tallow, you mentioned the shelf life and needing to keep it cool. Does this still apply to the balm, as well?
I kept a large batch of tallow in the fridge for about a year. I take out what I need for a few weeks and put it in a smaller mason jar with a lid. I had used avocado oil as we don't use olive oil (most are cut with terrible seed oils) and found that the avocado oil smelled weird after the tallow balm was at room temperature for a month. I don't add any essential oils as they can be estrogenic.
So I’m trying to go about this natural route but I’m concerned. I train a lot of jiu jitsu and I’m all over dirty mats where a 100 people and kids been walking bare foot probably a lot of staph and other germs. If I was just going to rinse off head to toe with water and tallow will I be good??
I haven't heard of tallow powder before, I'll have to look into it! My first thought is that it sounds a bit too processed to be very healthy. But I'll have to do some research :)

Hi! I made tallow the first time but didn't use salt and it came out creamy and smooth, the next time I did the salt method and it very grainy. I did take the bottom off with a knife like you did but I can't figure out what I did wrong.
You probably didn't do anything wrong, but it sounds like you have soft trim fat. You can still use it for cooking, balm, soap making, etc. but it will be too soft for candles.

Where do I find Tallow?

Hi! I made tallow the first time but didn't use salt and it came out creamy and smooth, the next time I did the salt method and it very grainy. I did take the bottom off with a knife like you did but I can't figure out what I did wrong.
You probably didn't do anything wrong, but it sounds like you have soft trim fat. You can still use it for cooking, balm, soap making, etc. but it will be too soft for candles.

I try, to do a face moisturizer with tallow, but I got a smelly tallow!🫤
