This is one of the most lively and evocative readings of this dramatic 14th C. tale of the Christmas Season, which begins in Camelot, at the court of King Arthur. It was performed in the KUT radio studio during the 1970s, and deserves to be revived! Members of the cast and the director were connected with the University of Texas at Austin, as follows:

This has been a joy to hear. Decades ago I wrote my thesis for my Bachelor’s in Sir Gawain. It is still very much loved by me.

This was a godsend for my Great Myths and Legends class. Glad to be able to find an audiobook reading of the translation of this story that I had to read for class.
Also, was it just me, or was the Green Knight a little gay for Gawain? Pretty cool to see some homoeroticism from middle English poetry.

Nice, but it´s not a welsh story at all. Gawain was Gwalchmai and he was Welsh, son of Gwyar, sister of King Arthur. The Green Knight legend originates in Ireland.
