Lyrics:
Take me for a ride before we leave
#PearlJam #WhoYouAre #OfficialAudio - Видеоклипы
Jack Irons doesn’t get the recognition he deserves for his time in Pearl Jam. He is a great drummer.
Abso lutely
1996 the biggest band in the world puts out this fukn gem of a song. Layered perfection. No chorus, no hook, just unique, creative awesomeness. Who else could ever pull this off?
NO ONE
Word!
Probably my favorite Pearl Jam song 🎵.
dude, 2 years old comment you made but I feel like I've been waiting for someone to clarify why I like this song so much SINCE 1996 when I first heard it at my young age of 20... thanks man. This is my favorite song of all time. Just pure... perfection as you said.
It's not bad hey
My favorite song on the album
Right there with ya... this song inspired me and got me through some tough times.
Are you gay?
I have love for this song too!
@@MrDanicio Me too...heard it on Chicago Cab.
Thanks 👍🦋
I love the Jack Irons era!
Why is this song so fucking awesome?
*It just is.* *One of my faves. Hope they play it at Ohanafest 2021‼️✌🏻*
Jack Irons
My favourite. The song to start but to end with pearl jam under the sky of night
Come to send, not condescend
Transcendental consequence
Is to transcend where we are
Who are we? Who we are
Trampled moss on your soul
Changes all you're a part
Seen it all, not at all
Can't defend fucked up men
Take me for a ride before we leave
Avalanche falling fast
Driving winds, happenstance
Off the track, in the mud
That's the moss in the aforementioned verse
Just a little time before we leave
Stoplight plays its part
So, I would say you've got a part
What's your part? Who you are
You are who, who you are
Thanks
Thanks 👍
This another version, right?
Not "circustance, clapping hands..."
Nostelgic...every freqin time...how powerful of a force is music like this thst it can take you on a time travelling journey into your past - and see you feeling like time has almost stood still to relive emotions we thaught long ago expired.....for a couple of bueatiful minutes anyway...
A 89er here, I played this when a was a "child" soon to become my real self
Love the back up vocals. So pretty
Speaking as a Gen X-er and (cliche alert) born-and-raised Seattle-ite, I have to point out that the (almost embarrassingly warm) kumbaya-ish vibe of this song meshes perfectly with my 1996 memories of that city. It makes for a great nostalgia trip because that was kind of like my (ahem) Summer of Love.
This was the fucking year of all years for us believer's in life. I was 22 had a job car girlfriend and pearljam. I also turned schizophrenic and was studying the 12 dementions that turned into a book that im still writing ✍️ today 2024 from 1996. The book is called. QUEST FOR LIFE. look out for it in the future when i try to finish it finally soon
Channeling their Moody Blues.
Eddie's voice!😍
This is thee epitome of mellow AF... since... love youuuu still and always...
Beautiful ~ You Are In Touch With The Human Soul~Much Love To You And Your Family ❤️
One word..magical..
blasted this on remote in a high alps mountain hut, owner, an old farmer said: sounds good!
I totally forgot this song exists. Really weird. Pearl Jam sure did have a lot of great songs back then though.
I discovered it on the film, Chicago Cab.
When I was 15 and this single came out in the summer of 1996, I really disliked it. I was a mega PJ fan and I loved everything else on No Code. This song just pissed me off. It was a combo of the World style music, the twangy sound of the guitar, and how Eddie sang on it . Im 41 now and I think this song is truly amazing. I love it and listen to it often.
Fun side note, "Hail, Hail" was released as a single on my 16th birthday. October 21, 1996. That was a badass day. I still have the CD single. Well, I have them all. I kept them all. Peace.
Hey stranger, we are the exact same age and I felt the same way back then. Love this song now! If you like it, check out "Long Road", which also came out around then too. Peace!
@@jessicamoore1314 @babylonkid wow me too. Off He Goes was always an amazing song I think they do it a huge injustice the way it’s played live these days.
This goes for me on a lot of music back then. I consider myself a musical retard for missing great things back then and only realising now.
@@atheoshkyes, have only just heard No Way from Yield and recently discover Weezers Blue Album, wonder what else I’ve missed?
Cheers to our life 🍻
Just a little time before we leave 🖤🖤
This song has more views in another place. Should have more in this place
I know people do the Stones/Beatles argument, but to me it was always Nirvana/Pearl Jam.
Pearl Jam is the right answer.
There's no right or wrong, but I'm sure there's good and bad
I think PJ and Nirvana are apples and oranges and I love them each a shitload.
"Avalanche, falling fast"
Instead of "Circumstance, clapping hands", I like the little variation but I'm wedded to the original. Nice to have both versions though.
Do you know which version is on the 2021 vinyl pressing?
@@jeffsaddiction Sorry I don't - I don't have the 2021 vinyl pressing unfortunately.
i like your mindset =)
I prefer the original. I hate how they update songs
What is this version from? I knew something sounded different thanks for pointing it out
Favorite song of all time
No Code is definitely my favorite Pearl Jam album, quite possibly my favorite album of all time! Did I forgot forget to mention that "(The Mighty Jack Irons)" is my personal favorite drummer and probably the best drummer in the world? I mean as far as his style goes? Actually, in my opinion, John Bonham is the best drummer but Jack Irons is by far my favorite drummer. He kinda reminds me of Keith Moon of The Who. 😊
I believe Rick Allen to be the best drummer ever. Way WAY better than John Bonham.
Right that!
this is one of my favourites ever. 2022.
PEARL TERMINATOR THREE MEAN ANYONE!!!
amazing
Yes, Jack Irons is awesome! Singing is awesome! BUT TAKE A LISTEN TO THAT BASS LINE!!!
Love this song
Pearljams best beatles song
Sounds nothing like a Beatles song.
Kick ass band. Kick ass song
The whole song is a crescendo
What a song
playing this for my dog Pup who passed today...
take me for a ride before we leave...
holy shit 700 bucks for 2 tix at Xcel lol ... Ill keep my memories of cashing my Pell grant check and telling them to give me back 150 i made a mistake in my deposit and running across the street to get tix at local vinyl store in 1994
besides can't have fun or do anything we used to able to do in these places anymore
The most complex song of them.
Wanted to play this at my dads frunal a couple of days ago
Sounds like Jack Irons drumming
It is indeed! He rocks!
It is gorgeous
Brilliant
Unbelievable voice 👌👍🙏
So great!
My favourite PJ album

This sounds like the end of the Beatles' "Hello Goodbye"
Or the end of that beatle song sounds like a Bo Diddley beat. Boomers always crediting the Beatles for everything… tiring.
@@smkxodnwbwkdns8369 I'm about 40 years shy of being a baby boomer, but I have not heard of Bo Diddley. I'll have to check him out, thanks
