No ashtrays in the back? Very clean car!
I've the 71 455ho. Defently a keeper
Uncle backed up into one driving his galaxy, after it happened he figured if his insurance was going to fix it and his payments were going to go up he figured he might as well drive a trans am too. Orange w/ white stripes. Needless to say my aunt wasn't thrilled but she ended up loving it.
What kind of a "Car guy" buys the TransAm with an automatic ..A very dear friend of mine had a 72 with a Nunzio built 455 HO and a M-22 with a 2:73 12 bolt posi rear with 2 Koni shocks on each wheel and I'm telling you this car was an animal on the Merit parkway the Hutch the saw mill and all the highways in WestChester Putnam County . I lost track of how many Trooper cars we dusted blowing past them as they were sitting in the median of the TSP as we blue past them at 140 MPH all they seen was a white blur ...and at night forget it ..That car was just so special ..
Beautiful car. If it was a 4 Speed it would be epic
Still Nice LOL
My brother has this exact same car here in the UK actually identical! All numbers matching to full resto
There is no decal on the shaker scoop for that year and engine.
Looks better than new
you should see it in person
So the Ram Air III Automatic had the same 068 cam as the Ram Air III 4-speed?
my father owned one in blue, his was an automatic also. he wishes he still had it. he said if you punched the throttle it would go right to the redline and shift.
I don't believe the ram air decal on the shake is correct for 70.
No it's not, only the RA IV engine got the decal, the standard RA III got nothing.
How much did it sell for? It's a very nice car
1970 trans am did not have chrome trim rings.
$21.00 option and you most certainly could get them if you wanted them.
@@thud9797 not in 1970 . you don;t know what your talking about.

They were available, not initially but there are documented original cars that had them. I've got a copy of a window sticker and build sheet showing them.
1970 year did not come with beauty rings.
That’s a misconception passed on by uninformed people who unfortunately think they know what they are talking about. Fact is wheel trim rings were not standard equipment in 1970, but they were optional. I have one that is fully documented by Pontiac Historical Services and and GM of Canada.
Look better without....my buddy in high school bought one NEW in 1970....5700 and change...no beauty rings.
It's looks amazing, very nicely done .
Probably added to hide the incorrect rally wheels.
Beauty rings were not an option for 15" wheels early in the production year but became an option later in the year. I'm curious to know what the build date of your car is?
Gum ball ralley
