This is a tutorial on how to mount grease (zerk) fittings on the atv A-arms. I've done this to an Arctic Cat Thundercat, it's a pretty easy process that it will help the bushings last longer and also offer a slightly better comfort.
If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll answer them asap.
Thanks for watching!

I would be grateful if you could tell us the specifications of the pipe tap used in the video.
I've been thinking of doing this but once I saw your video and it reminded me how much I hate that everlasting ATV squeak. Going to fix mine now. Thanks for the vid.
You're welcome, I'm glad it helps!
thank you so much.. I've been looking all morning for this...
Hey, awesome video! Is there a kit available to do this, so the thread is the same as the Zerk?
That's what i did to my 125cc chinese made atv .. all moving parts now enjoys grease
Agreed - what tap drill, tap type would make this video really helpful :)
Just same size tap and the grease fitting your using.
I use 6x1.00 tap and got 6x1.00 grease fittings. Make sure grease fitting threads don’t contact the inner shaft.

that's nice but FYI if those are polyurethane bushings you don't want to use petroleum based lube
I know, they'll gum up and lose their properties. Thanks for pointing this out! 👍🏻
cool song
what size bit to use to drill the hole ..??? thanks..
That depends on the size of the zerk (grease fitting) you want to use. If I remember corectly I used a 5 mm zerk, and I drilled the hole using a 4 mm drill bit, then a 4,2 mm drill bit. After that I started to tap the thread for the 5 mm thread zerk into the A-arm
going to put grease nipples on my arctic cat trv..don't know why they don't have them...my bro has a outlander max, it has them on every bushing....oh well...thanks buddy....
hey can you tell me wheres the speed sensor located on my arctic cat trv?? code 0500 on dash...thanks..
Sorry, but I have no ideea. Check the service manual for your atv here and see if it helps :) www.mymowerparts.com/pdf/Arctic-Cat-ATV-Repair-and-Service-Manuals/
Wait a few years and those plastic parts will fall apart from the grease
I have been greasing the front A-arms for more than 2 years now, and no problems so far. And even if they do go bad from the grease, I have UHMW-PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) bushings ready for replacement. The UHMW-PE bushings will last a LIFETIME! ;)
