- It's that special time of year again where the legendary @rektangular leaks a good chunk of the Marvel Legends we can expect to see this year. We use this information to help us budget for the year as well as sell off some of the figures that are about to be updated. Although nothing is for sure and things can aways change, if there's one person to trust with leaks, it's @rektangular

We still need a Moonstone/ Ms.Marvel figure from the Dark Avengers to finish the team.
I really hope we get that soon.
I would love to see the Liberty Legion, Original Human Torch & Toro, classic Bucky, 1950s Avengers and the rest of the classic Squadron Sinister/Supreme! Anyone else??
Jordan has been wanting to make an Invaders team for quite a while.
With a union jack figure, I purchased an extra fire star to make it into Spitfire. Paint the hair blonde add a cape, that’s about it. Throw in Captain America andsubmariner with a green trunks,
And it’s almost done. Except for the liberty legion I would buy that as a five pack or six pack.
7:18 Dan Yu announced yesterday a new Venom figure coming out this summer. A *WALMART* exclusive 🙄 for crying out loud. Hopefully I can find him in stores😂.
Yeah would have liked if it wasn’t a Walmart exclusive. I feel like they don’t normally double up on exclusive retro cards like this in one year or at least so close back to back like this right?

Paste pot pete, the wizard, the sphinx, Grottu, gorgilla things like this the Kirby, Ditko, Heck, Colan gold mine here there are so many cool things they could do.
That would be interesting if those were made into figures. I don't have much of an idea on who most of those are.
Also superior spidey should be on renew your vows buc or the amazing fantasy would look amazing
I think RYV would work better than Amazing Fantasy because to me the AF buc seems more like the kid version. I also wouldn't mind if it was on the Vulcan or even whatever the Retro Symbiote/Ben Riley buc was.

I agree with that. My number 1 Spidey is the 3 pack Amazing Friends one because its the AF body but brighter colors. I sold my RYV one.

I agree about Odin. He's not terrible but he seems bland. He's a king so I would think he would have gold highlights. I hope the new version is a Jack Kirby or Walt Simonson style.
Yeah I feel like I want to like the figure so much more because of the swappable parts but it just kind of feels meh. I'll be interested to see the style they go with for him. I feel like a Jack Kirby version seems a little older than what they typically go with but would be cool.
Too bad we still haven't heard about a NEW Wrecking Crew!
Also a Minatour from the Immortal Hulk series would be cool
This is just a chunk of what's to come. There's still going to be a lot that Rekangular didn't get his hands on coming out this year too.

Yeah as much as it would be cool to see Luke and Iron Fist together it would be better to get someone that hasn't been done in a while or ever.

Oh that's a good guess. Is that game coming out soon? He is getting his own game right? I don't have a PlayStation so I don't keep up up with the games much unless they come to Fortnite.

Didn't we already get a leak about classic Nick Fury and Dum Dum Dugan? My best guess is that these Steranko era SHIELD characters are headlining the "Strange Tales" wave... Wild, blue sky speculation: Fin Fang Foom Haslab because he made his first appearance in ST.
Yeah the Shield 3 pack was more of a confirmation. I think Fin Fang Foom is going to be everyone's number 1 guess for the next Haslab.

Me too. I think that might be my most anticipated from this list.
Thanks for the reveal guys. ML has got a list of rumored figures I'd love to see produced. Strange Tales became a 2-parter with Dr. Strange and the Human Torch in the 60's. Some interesting villains made their first appearance in this run like Nightmare, Dormammu, Eel, Plantman, the Beetle, Wizard, and Trapster (aka Paste-pot Pete) etc.
I feel like that line or wave or whatever it ends up being has a lot of potential.
I can’t wait for the new Carol Danvers Warbird Ms.Marvel I hope she comes with lots of accessories and alt heads
Me too. I could see it being just extra hands which would kind of suck but at least we'd have a new War Bird. They have been doing a better job of adding more to the box recently though.
I’m fairly new to collecting marvel legends. I’m just over a year into this love hate relationship. I started with collecting the symbiote family and building venompool. Completing that BAF got me addicted to this so it’s bittersweet knowing they are releasing him but at the same time that’s money I can same not buying it.
I mean I think with most figures you can expect them to eventually be remade. Like we said though, we really didn't expect Venompool to get remade but I think people loved him enough that it makes sense to put him out again for folks just getting in or starting this year. It'll be interesting to see what they do differently with him.
I like to see the very first black Captain American with the Vulcan body mode or the Marvel Legends Ultimate Classic Cap this year
I feel like that Cap would need to be on a bulked up body more so than the Vulcan one.

I thought I switched it to unlisted so it wouldn't interrupt anyone watching. I didn't have the thumbnail ready and i think with traveling it screwed up my time zone so the video went live an hour before i thought it would. It's up to stay now.

Cherry picking time Ms Marvel (Warbird), Iron Fist, Sabertooth and Scarlet Spider are must in my collection
Plus with select Annihilus it feels like my Marvel comic collection is wrapping up
So pumped for Deadpool 3 wave and deluxe Colossus

Maybe they are saving him to come out closer to when he might show up in the MCU. He also could be coming this year, this is just some of what Hasbro is putting out but by no means is the a 100% complete list.

Manthing and iron fist soundz interesting .The ghost rider could be a foe like vengence or blackheart but yea we need a new bike but i already have 4 so i wouldnt buy it .Serpent Society soundz promising but for so many releases half of them will probably be dudz honestly . I might need a odin but i dependz what it lookz like but i need him for my asgard shelf . Dont know who destiny is but not interested in mystique i dont collect many female figz . Im a hulk fan so i could see getting a cool Skarr fig but again it dependz on how it lookz
I'm wondering if I'll get Man Thing. I know Jordan is a big fan but for me it will probably depend on the price and how he looks. I don't really know Destiny too much but I know she's playing a bigger part in the current X Men comics so maybe when I catch up I'll care more. I don't have a Mystique figure though so that tempts me a little if she's got updated articulation.
Gotta be careful selling your old figures that were actually pretty good before... this new cut n corners Hasbro could possibly come out with a figure weaker than the old one ... ie. Their newer Ultron with no paint.
Yeah if I have something I really love I'd keep it but for me with Venompool it's not like he get's into any crazy poses or anything so I don't see Hasbro doing a much worse job and even it was I could live without him.

I wouldn't mind if the MCU hit the reset button before we ever see what's going on with him.
I am very excited to see the all marvel legends figures. But I am a new collector so I am very excited more for those figures. Iron patriot, the kazar, the iron fist, the venopool, superior Spiderman, doctor doom and about this figure I want to see the classic style of doctor doom and finally colusseus OK in this figure I like more the style of deadpool 2. But I'm gonna get it. Oh I forgot deadpool 3 marvel legends yeah let's go.
It's about to be a very fun year for figures.

Will the releases be on Dan's Twitter or will there be one direct from Hasbro?
These will be for the entire year so I would expect we'll see most of these from the Hasbro livesteams but it could be anything.
I do hoped we get a classic John Romita sr Mary jane Watson figure because the 2017 is over 8 yrs old now and it's outdated we need a new one based on that original design be updated with some new shriek articulations applied.
As much as I agree i feel like it might be a bit of a long shot with just getting the 2 pack and the mcu versions. I feel like they would focus on other female spiderman figures this year but it's totally possible.

Gotta say, if they do a King Carnage, I would absolutely freak out if they did a King in Black Eddie Brock to go along with it.
That would be an amazing pack and they might just sucker me into buying full price... didn't learn from the Venom and knull 2 pack apparently.

Yes. I started Collecting April 2nd, 1994. That's why I have built 10 different Earth's and I have 5,500 total Figures or more. I have quite a few older Toy Biz Figures still. I will probably someday go through them and sell some of them as they have been replaced by newer versions. But that's one I will keep. Probably keep a few more like Samurai Armor too.

I don't know if they would do 2 Nick Furys in the same year or not. Maybe it depends on what comes in the 3 pack.
I'd love to see a first appearance Adam Warlock too but I suspect this will all be silver age stuff not 70's - which is all fine by me! :)@@thestrongcollectors

It will be all year long. Last time the leaks came out i think it was right up until the second to last Hasbro stream that it all got revealed.
Late watcher here, but hey, what are the chances we will see a Rom space knight figure? If they did this right, it should be a monolithic figure (classic Thor size at minimum)
I would say the chances are slim but still possible. It does seem like they are putting out some really obscure/not traditional Marvel characters once in a while. I think there would be quite a few people interested in picking it up if they did make it.

@@raulzito326 When they annouced him it unlocked childhood memories of having some of the old figures as a kid so I went and got the 11 issue comic series and have been finding him in some of the current stuff I'm read like Weird World and Champions.
@@thestrongcollectors That's nice! I've been reading (rereading some issues, actually, since as a toddler I had some stuff published here in Brazil in the 80s) some Rom comics and I was amazed how fun they were. Bill Mantlo sure could write a good sci fi superhero comic grounded on horror.

Yes please to a classic Luke Cage and Iron Fist two pack. I don’t care about Hasbro’s shenanigans at this point. Just fix Cage, don’t screw up Iron Fist, and we’ll call it even.
A lot of these choices seem a bit redundant when we’re still missing so many “first time in the line” characters, but I am down for an updated Warbird.
It looks like most of my hopes are going to be riding on the Avengers retro wave and the two comic waves. All I ask is that we not leave 2024 without a Marvel Legends Crystal.
I think there's a good chance we see Crystal soon. I wouldn't say it's a for sure this year but I have to imagine it's soon.
There was a few I was hoping for but no luck yet, Albert and Elsie Dee, a new Daken, new x-23, Gateway, beast (TAS), Battle damaged Wolverine showing his metal bones exposed. More marvel zombies and more Venomized figs!!
I think we'll see more Marvel Zombies when the show comes out and I still think there's a decent chance of seeing the Wolverine type figures you're talking about. It does seem like they are going to go heavy on him this year.

Taskmaster joined Normans Cabal right at the beginning of the seige event. Im sure they are kind of reenacting that scene because Dr Doom ends up leaving the Cabal over Norman attacking Atlantis and king Namor and when Norman attacks doom in retaliation it turns out hes a doombot that utilizes bug like machines that attack the building they are in. The four pack im sure will be classic taskmaster, modern doom maybe a Doombot head loki in the same costume as that earlier comic loki release before the retro cards, and the Dark avengers Iron patriot
If there's a doombot head Jodan will be hunting those down like a mad man.

There's a panel from the Golden Age of Sentry where Sentry meets an older version / alternate timeline version of himself that uses twin colt .45s 🤣 I think the trigger hands were a nod to that

I'd say low but not impossible. They already done it but with the pinless Wolverine now, they could circle back to everything to give it the update. I feel like there are other version still to be done though.
So i painted the x red on that brood wave colossus to be a movie one and its not bad at all but id love a deluxe of baf of a legit movie one 😊
I have some high hopes. I think they'll do a good job. Even though I don't have a movie Deadpool it would be cool if Colossus came with a Deadpool alt head where he has the bar sticking through his head.
Hopefully they do a Dr Druid with the Strange Tales wave.

Well, I almost never get the BAF! I have approximately 5,500 Figures, I try to keep Duplicates to a minimum. I average 2-4 Figures a Wave. Last year I even skipped a couple of Waves. It was the specials that made the year expensive for me.
I almost always skip anything MCU and I'm by no means a completist with the figures. Even if its a brand new figure to the line there's a lot of older characters people want that I just don't care at all about, like Namorita, Wolfsbane, Feral, ect. I know people need them to complete teams but I'll pass on them for sure.
Well, I have the mail away Feral and the Dani Moonstar Wolfsbane is good enough for me. I do want Comics Namorita though. She was my first Comic Character Crush as we were both about 15 when she first appeared. Or rather my first Comics Crush after Puberty. LOL There were some Girl Legionaires and others. I was able to read Comics in 1964, I was the only kid who started First Grade being able to, mostly, read. A few harder words still tripped me up, like calling Sub-Mariner Submarine-er, and Magneto Magnet-o.
I only go MCU to fill a slot. For example, Mantis. If I want a Mantis in my 75 member Avengers Team I have to buy Guardians version. Same thing with Yelana Belova, if I want one I have to go MCU. I will take a MCU Warriors Three because they look similar to the Comics version, with Volstagg actually looking better. There are supposed to be 12 Valkyries so I use both Blonde and MCU Versions, as well as Medieval Witchblade, Spawn Angela, and Cosmic Angela to Fudge 5 Valkyries. I cheat, I lie, and I Fudge (using 1 figure as another). I use the new He-Man with the H symbol as Heracles, Evil version of Hercules in my Dark Avengers, the one who actually committed the crimes Hercules was accused of, such as killing Wives and Children. By using variant Figures I have built a 22 member Dark Avengers!

Well, I have built a 58 member X-Men, in 4 different Teams. X-Men, X-Factor, X-Force, and New Mutants. So, my Brotherhood is a bit outnumbered.

The Venom from the Absorbing Man wave is my favorite looking Venom. I like his size and closed mouth head sculpt.
I think I have that head sculpt but I like the new stuff like the 3 pack but with other heads than the long wrap around tongue

I've never been a fan of the giant hulk sized Venom look. It kind of worked during Dark Avengers but I prefer a little smaller. His size in King in Black was good I thought.
I want an updated Dakken for sure but who knows
