California has a interesting schedule as they have Auburn away in Week 2... Play both Florida State away and Miami home... NC State home and SMU away.
50/50 Games: Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Syracuse, Stanford
Wins: UC Davis, San Diego State, Pittsburgh
Underdogs: Auburn, Florida State, SMU, Miami, NC State
Anywhere from 4-8 to 6-6 this season for the Golden Bears

Definitely not tougher than last years PAC12 slate:
Cal had Oregon, Oregon st, Washington, USC, and Utah
Compared to this years ACC play I believe are going to be tough is
FSU, Clemson, NC St, and maybe Syracuse just because they have a pretty good QB in McCord from Ohio state in the transfer portal.
Don’t think SMU will be an arduous game.
