She filed for divorced, I think it was final last month. I heard that she's scared of a wrongful death civil lawsuit and that's why she's standing behind him.
I can't see how a jury can convict when all the witnesses live in an alternate reality.
Its very very normal for witnesses to have different stories. But there is a consistency in the stories. I think the key one here is all of them are saying Miu initiated the physical violence by punching, slapping, swift motioning the blonde girl. From the video we can already see he had drawn his knife at this point. There are a lot on contradictory statements but that has been consistent. That is consistent across 2 different groups that don't know each other so coordinating stories is less likely.
I don't see how he gets off it is found he drew his knife prior to physical violence starting and he initiated the physical violence. But the defense have yet to put forward their case yet so a lot could still come out.
@@PoliticalPluralist its not normal when they had 2 years to view the footage & they ALL Viewed it over & over & they still cant get their sht straight because THEY caused this all not him
@@PoliticalPluralistincorrect, the blonde put her hands on him and tried to restrict his movements back to his group. Additionally, courts don't require the defendant to pull the trigger to see if the gun is loaded. 😊 He was robbed of his gear by the person filming btw. Then there is the defamation. 😊
In no way will a female her size remain standing after a full grown man "punches" her. Nor does any of the videos show her landing back in the water from the punch, or marks on her face. Not convinced that happened.
Sorry, yeah you can.
?? Your sentences contradict one another..
I've had a methed out Coke dealer punch me twice in the face and I did not go down.
Besides, she was about his size.
@@ericajohnson7345 umm no no you cant
Damnnn, Mr. Davis (witness) got GRILLED in the hot seat! His testimony came off totally unreliable on any opinion of what happened. I had to watch it again to take in all the back & fourth..lol. The defense lawyers did their job on that one. Yikes…Watching this trial I thought it would be a slam dunk, but Mr. Miu couldn’t have better lawyers on his case tbh. He has much more of a fighting chance than I thought going in.
fighting chance? this is open & shut case! NOT GUILTY! Self Defense END OF STORY
Yeah sad way turned out but those teenagers was torturing that man for no reason
@@coolnerdsclothing6377 We agree, I think he will be found not guilty as well.
@@joshlecroy8243 I agree, very unfortunate. It seems it was the classic “perfect storm” of events. A bunch of drunk & stoned 17 year olds & young adults that all decided to escalate the situation and take matters into their own hands…& found out it wasn’t worth it. Mr. Miu was defending himself
@@beauxdejour808 The stoned and drunk alcoholic teenagers and young adults asked the man to leave, multiple times.
Ms.Mui has such a blank expression on her face.
WTF wasn’t she there for her husband when he was n this situation?
This case was provided by ALCOHOL! If you minus the alcohol there is no case
Not necessarily. Pride was in there as well.
Just about every state witness has clearly committed perjury.
But so did he. he hid the knife, lied to his friends about what the commotion was, tried to evade police and then told police he "must look like the guy who stabbed people"
They are recalling their memory of the event. Purgury charges are rare.
@@Anyanka99 Because in this loony left world we are living in, you go to prison even when you're right. Remember when George Floyd died from ingesting Meth? This is a clear case of rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
Such a sad case. Although I in no way condone Nic’s actions, I also know the group mentality of the young people that day was incredibly cruel (owing a little to alcohol I believe). My heart breaks for the family who lost a son and all the others who were wounded. Just super happy AJ is doing so well.
Cruel? How about illegal?
@@scotmaciver they keep skipping over that part! everyone wants to know why a grown adult had a "pocket" knife in his POCKET at the river but NOBODY cares why a bunch of 17 year olds had liquor & weed (liquor) being the whole reason this happened but no nobody cares about that lol
Defamation, they announced everything was being recorded and that the whole world would see it. Both prongs achieved.

Every one of these kids are lying out of their teeth.
They’ve been coached by the prosecution….And not very well
You have no clue if they lied. Just like the rest of us watching.
Just like their parents. Fruit doesn't fall far from tree.
I think the prosecution felt pressured to charge miu because so many young kids were injured.
I think the prosecution knew that without provocation, he had stabbed five children, killing one and causing horrible injury to four others.
@@marymac789 everyone of those people pushed him so without provocation is an untrue statement. He didn’t jump in the middle of them and start poking
I really like the judge. He doesn’t put up with tactics and keeps the trial going and on track.
These kids were drunk and high and acting like animals and now want to appear calm and rational. Miu should be found not guilty, the teens should all be charged and also be sued civilly.
He left them after they were already being annoying. He walked back by his wife and then walked back to the teens. If he felt threatened he would have stayed away. He had the knife out before anything got physical. Pulling a knife out is clearly a threatening gesture so if anything they would be in the right to feel threatened. If the prosecutors were better at their jobs they would point that out. He came back for a fight. Then he threw the knife in the woods tried to hide his identity and lied to police pretending he didn't know anything happened. That's a guilty man.
If a grown man lunges at your teenagers knowing that he has a knife in his pocket, what would you say? Teens didn’t lay hand on him before he processed to act like Jason and Freddie Kruger combines. You don’t get to kills people for laughing at you. I’m sure his group was drinking also.
@@Anyanka99Umm I think you need to check your facts. He first came in contact with the boys while he was standing just slightly upriver from them, then he ran up to their tubes and walked around their group (positioning him now down river). Then 20 yo girls approach before he is able to go back to his wife & the young boys follow up behind him. Also, the blonde girl put hands on Mr. Miu FIRST. She says, “Get your ass! Go!” & grabs his arm to turn him towards her. 15 seconds later she gets slapped as group surrounds Mr. Miu while yelling and have their hands in the air up and off him (taunting). Then Mr. Miu gets punched/man slapped by blonde’s 20 yo guy friend 3 times while his older brother is pushing him into water from behind. Then the stabbing starts and the older brother gets his stomach sliced, etc etc.
@@beauxdejour808 they're using the word "contact" literally... which is smart on the defenses part but it wasn't their 1st verbal interaction. His wife testifies to that. He was over by the boys, went back to his friends, then walks back to the boys. Thats when the kid started recording. You can also find those details in last years hearing.
are you on crack . this fool should of walked away. he stabbed several people and killed . no one had a weapon.. you should serve life for just saying this ..
The current doesn’t look strong enough to sweep a cell phone downstream so far. Why was he looking downstream instead of upstream where the phone was dropped?
That’s the thing about currents, you can’t tell how strong they are by looking at the surface of the water. It can look calm but be much stronger than you’d think.
You’ve. Never been on a river before…
Was there ever a real missing a phone?
Let me add, why a mask and snorkel-useless on a river that has a strong flow.
@@georgedobler7490 Saying a snorkel is useless is subjective. His wife told him to bring his snorkel so he could look for jewelry as she’s familiar with people loosing jewelry in cold water since their fingers shrink and rings slip off. Listen to her testimony. His friend just happen to drop a phone so then he helped to look for that & was happy he had his snorkel.
This why age drink is 21 not ,17
21 year olds aren't much better
Go to a frat party lol people do drugs/alcohol immaturely at all ages. main issue is we infantalize kids so much that they can hit 25 and still have never had to really live for themselves
That is why there is no drinking age in Denmark 🇩🇰. Sure, there is an age limit for when you can buy alcohol (or rather who the seller can sell alcohol to), but there is no official, legal drinking age.
There is however (at least in my family) an unofficial drinking age, that being when you, at an age of 15-16, confirm your Christian faith and unofficial becomes an adult. When I reached that milestone in my life, I was invited into the ranks of adults, was served wine at the celebrations, and generally expected to being to act like an adult.
This meant that I and my friends learned to drink responsible in a safe setting. It meant that we could enjoy a beer or glass of wine without having to get drunk (although I did get awfully drunk at a party where we all celebrated the end of college/gymnasium).
Contrast that with the situation in neighbouring Sweden where the legal buying/selling/drinking is 18 (beer) and 23 (strong alcohol). The result is that every weekend Denmark is invaded by young Swedes with the singular goal of getting hammered as fast and cheap as possible.
doesn't make him right for using unequal force. As an old guy myself who was once young, these kids will eat you up with their words.. Never engage to enrage.
The pink haired girl told one blatant lie after another. The video proves that.
Lies require intent. She is speaking about an event over 2 years ago and hasn't seen the video. It is expected she would get some stuff wrong.
These are not lies they're memories.
Lie lie lie
Lie lie lies
are these real lawyers? They seem unrehearsed, unfamiliar with case. Are they getting paid?
Prosecution SUCKS
those lawyers have been solid prosecution seems to be desperate for a conviction
You have to remember verbiage has been ruled out. Then, when there are so many objections, you can gage what words / questions are receiving sustained or overruled.
This day should be called prosecution brings a witness with a blurry video that shows nothing, who then proceeds to purger himself over and over during cross. This should never have been brought to trial
the video is shaky but clearly shows the stabs so of course its the most important evidence and reason it could and should have been brought to trial

Lord!!! And these people VOTE!!!
Do not have anything occur in front of the ex. She is beyond oblivious. Also, she give 1 statement and that is it.
Was she prisecution or defense witness? She did not seem to help either side. She could not look more disinterested if she tried.
I also noticed a few references claiming this guy was "taking pictures of the girls." It's important to understand that while it may seem a little creepy, if that's even what he was actually doing, that it is totally legal to take pics/video of anything you can see in public. I've seen several videos, for instance all these gym videos recently where women will dress in tight/scant clothing and then get upset when 'certain' guys look at them. But they don't have any problems with the guys they find attractive looking at them. My point is that if you go out in public wearing something that will attract attention, you can't dictate who you get that attention from. Earth doesn't work that way and nobody cares about your 'feelings.' In this case, if it's even what happened, it would be supposedly directed at girls in certain swimsuits. Well, wear something a little less revealing and you probably won't experience the 'unwanted' attention. I understand the mindset of "They should be able to wear whatever they want." Which is fine. Just stop thinking that only the people who's attention you're trying to attract are going to be the only ones looking at you or taking pics/video. It's sad how this entire event unfolding into such a tragedy when it absolutely didn't need to. It should have been nothing. A guy looking for his phone. Seems like had he just been left alone nothing would have happened. But who knows.
The 50 year olds knew Nik were by the teens, but had no questions when chaos erripted? Both for the boys' rowdiness and police arrival? Then, let us keep going.
No one had common sense behavior on the river this day?
A good lawyer would make a point to state the distance that he had to walk to get to the teens and back. No measurements mentioned!! What?! This is crazy
They both had drawings of the relative distance.
OMG! What relevance does the fact that he has and wears camo a lot? Where is the “foundation” with all these ridiculous questions? They ask some of the stupidest question! I can’t imagine being on the jury and having to sit through all this 💩! 😴
The repeated uttering of the slang phrase "It's for the culture" by the person taking the video seems quite interesting. If you're not familiar with this phrase it's easier to look it up than have me try to explain it. As with many slang phrases today it's difficult to see the logic or reasoning behind it. But it has become a popular phrase and wonve you see it's meaning you'll understand why I say it's interesting that it was repeated several times right before the physical violence starts. Seems like this entire situation would have been nothing had they just left this guy alone to search for his missing phone. I'm not assuming that he's some wonderful.outstanding citizen or anything. Just saying that the taunting him and approaching him for their own amusement seemed completely uncalled for. I can't help but think that 30, 40 years ago kids would have probably helped him look for the lost phone. Today's 'culture' is more about 'Let's screw with this guy and post it online so we get a bunch of views.' sign. The civility of our society is slowly degrading. Common courtesy and general respect for each other (as a whole) is declining. Not good. Now more than ever we should be focusing on getting along better. And look how it turned this lost phone situation into a death, multiple people injured, a guy going to prison. For what? Why in the hell did this even happen? Are we as a species really becoming this ignorant? Sigh.
One poor decision after another. Alcohol makes the decisions more poor.
Something else I was thinking about is that you can't stab someone who is standing several feet away from you. (Without advancing towards them obviously. Which I didn't see him do. Although I'm only going by what I saw in the video). I'm not necessarily defending this guy, but I didn't seem him charging after anyone. Seems like everyone who got stabbed had came right up to him, and not necessarily in a polite manner. Those who stayed even just 4 or 5 feet back didn't get stabbed. This whole thing was just so absolutely unnecessary and should have never happened. Seemed like it really popped off when the one girl got right up in his face. They're saying he hit her, and maybe he did. Video doesn't show. But again you don't get punched by a person who's standing still if you simply stay a few feet back. The taunting of him by these children certainly seemed unnecessary. What was their justification/reason for doing that? What a tragic mess this whole thing turned into. And for no logical reason. Wtf is wrong with people these days? Ugh.
what is with this state and carrying pocket knives like its some odd thing? Ya can carry guns ffs.

Ms. Mui should stand behind her husband, and be very proud of him for defending himself against overwhelming odds. This is the kind of man she can count on to protect her should the need ever arise.
She can't count on him. His reckless and murderous actions have left her alone and defenseless. He did the opposite of protecting his wife and the life they built.
He left them after they were already being annoying. He walked back by his wife and then walked back to the teens. If he felt threatened he would have stayed away. If you stick around looking for a fight, hiding the fact you are the only one with a knife, then its not self defence. If you brandish the knife, back off, and they still come towards you, it could perhaps be deemed self defence.
