Yo guys! This battle was so much fun! A pleasure to battle Inertia and an honor to be competing on this biggest stage in North America!! I’m happy with how my rounds went and inertia’s second round live hit LIKE A TRUCK! So big up this event and I’ll definitely be back next year!!
the attitude on stage during inertia's rounds didn't make me think u would write such a cool comment. im a casual though so im probably being clueless. your comment was classy asf and you were cool asf when the winner was announced too, so many that's just an aspect of a beatbox battle.
can't put it into words just how proud i am of shield, very underrated style imo. And that second round from inertia was godly. So salty that i wasn't there live to experience that
Inertia and Napom are similar in some ways, they have some signature sounds and routines but they always find ways to make it different and new again. And people think they just doing old stuff all the time, but they don't see the details and differences. Inertia is improving a lot and changing it up
Watching K.I.'s battles back to back (Germany Beatbox Champs and now this) is super fun. The guy has improved a ton and added a ton more variety to his beats. I really want to see him perform in GBB again.
idk if he can stand up to the new competition honestly. is there a day that Inertia beats Wing? Colaps if he decides to compete and not judge the next GBB? NapoM? Zer0????? Abo Ice? i'm not sure
@@Oz_manav Ice only has 1 GBB under his belt.... and got 4th place I don't think he is overhyped at all I haven't even heard anybody saying that about him I thought he sounded great. His style and sounds are awesome last thing i'll add is that he brings passion and competitiveness on stage. and that's what competitive beatbox needs more of.
Okay Shield's rounds are OPPPPPP here!!!!🔥🔥 I having a hard time to listen KI's rounds here (especially his first round, feels like it's too quiet), but still sick tho. Sick battle!
Yeah honestly, i fucking love KI and for the longest time I've been wanting him to win an entire competition. But recently I haven't seen a battle where he went up against someone and I thought "yeah he deserved to win"
i feel like Inertia's 2nd round won it for him. he obviously brought out one of his better routines for Shield because otherwise Shield's uniqueness and power tech would've won it for him. let's see if Inertia didn't pop that one too early in the comp.....
everybody wondering was Inertia's GBB run just lightening in a bottle, or will he get that far in future comps as well. that 2nd round was absolute fire. also i've never heard Shield until now. I love his style. looking forward to seeing more form him. will be one that i keep my eyes on!
For me Shield definitely took this, but it was very close, I’m super proud of Him coming this far and proving he is one of the best in America, INSANE battle and big ups to both 🔥🙏🏾
Alright, beatbox community. I've been paying attention to the beatbox world (and participating in it) for years now. I know the "i need to be a part of this" feeling really dug in for the Reeps One/Skiller battle. the whole time Inertia has been around, he's had virtually the same sound. Why is he so beloved by you all? I truly, truly don't wanna be a hater of anyone in the beatbox community because we really do have the best bond with eachother globally...But I'm having a really hard time understanding what the hype is with this one particular person. is there something i'm missing??
I think it’s how clean and powerful he is constantly, his bass texture is very appealing atleast for me and you’re good brother no one thinks you’re hating if you don’t like his style it’s okay too say that, we got the best community in the world man and if people can’t understand opinions that’s on them you are all good
Nah i feel you, and I honestly think the same. I dont feel the hype, but I do understand it Hes incredibly consistent, clean and has the same kind of hype of codfish but on a lower scale in terms of popularity of course, but the reason for the hype is almost the same, very clean, and dont forget above all incredibly distinct
I’ve been a fan since 2017 and the main thing is that no one can ever do his sound better than him. It’s not that he took the inward bass as if he invented it but he truly honed it to near perfection and that there’s so few that could truly take his sound and throw it back in their face. It’s kinda like old school cafeteria tables where there are groups of people that have something in common within that table. What I mean there are fanbases for sounds which people tend to think that sound they like more than most is better than everyone’s. It may seem like it’s too biased to like one because they’re buddy buddy but tbh, if a sound can trigger their dopamine as if they’re high on shrooms, that tends to make it difficult to change their mind on who has better beats
have you heard intertia live? he makes the whole place shake it was crazy in that venue, especially since it was a quiet one and some sounds were hard to hear it was so refreshing hearing his inward bass. i think the reason why everyone loves him is because of his inward bass its probably one of the cleanest open throat inward basses ever. once you hear him live youll understand but honestly its all your own opinion which i get and have doubted why hes so popular, hearing him live was nuts
I don't know what's going on, but K. I. is absolutely overrated. He makes a big deal out of it, but it's always the same shit... This way the battles won't develop in a more interesting direction. It's a shame really...
I don't understand the hate? Oh KI repetitive . Hmmm okay maybe listen to hin new stuff and then go back to the old stuff 😁 snd you will see he has reinvented himself, yall are just haters and dont wanna see people achieve greatness when they're working hard for it.
Almost all beatboxers are very good at a specific set of sounds and have repetitive sounding routines after you listen to them enough. It’s only when a new beatboxer comes to the stage that has something amazing to bring that everyone goes crazy for them for a while until they also become repetitive. It happens to almost all music artists too. K.I is still amazing imo for what he can do. Most people can’t do what he can
Inertia is a difficult competitor to judge because he clearly spends a lot of the time that COULD be used developing technique, to instead develop power, musicality, and clarity. As a result, he's very different in the scene and often times, the only thing I can base my opinion on is crowd control.

Watch your mouth dude, just cuz u like someone doesn’t mean you have to sympathize for him
sick rounds bro much love
Shield has such sick and memorable routines and KI's second round was godly. Big ups to both.
@@GhostBeatboxFugu 👻 dA K1nG
Shield transformated into Sword and was fully Rage mode. Amazing 2 rounds
The way that he switches the flow and the groove here 5:16 and here 5:27 is absolute insane, congrats KI
That "Infinity" was crazy
Love k.i first round, such a great sounding melody with his routine
Shield killed it
King did as well lol wowowwwww
can't put it into words just how proud i am of shield, very underrated style imo.

Shield took this for me personally but inertias second round is nuts
really cool battle, good job to Shield and Inertia. that was a tough one to call for me!
love it. dope shit
sheild took this for me, but it could have gone either way, sheild has such a special style that’s clearly coming together overtime, it’s sick to see

The white is a hater tho you can tell king crushed this.
Shield🔥🔥
Shield’s style reminds me of Bronix, but with more modern sounds. It sounds so sick, with crazy complexity and amazing groove.
Super proud of shield ❤️

Inertia just had the answer for this one. Good battle boys.
shield vs pacmax would be fun
K.i. is a BEAST but i can t help but notice he s slightly out of tempo sometimes. Apart from that he s absolutely 🔥
Shield had this for me, but this was close!
Both just killed it🔥🔥
!!!!!!!!
Shield have more idea to bring out and interesting to hear, king inertia have good bass and fresh musical set up
crowd was extremely dead
not true I was live and there we were going nuts all night long
shield is swaggg as f
which song did shield perform in round 1?
Inward bass = win LUL (I like ice cream with waffles)
OMG the stage GBB 2017😂😂
I feel like the only thing, and I mean only thing, Shield’s rounds here was more power in his fundamentals
There's something wrong with the crowd, like wtf
I feel shield like marvelous from indonesia with the second round but different style
firsttt
I love inertia but in all fairness that was shields battle all the way
Inertia got smoked 😂😂
Not even close. Shield won this 2:0.
Son:Dad what is the definition of robbery
Dad:
Inertia definitely took it. but Shield really impressed me. never heard this guy till now. can't wait to see more
Shield measuring height was so cheap and low 😂😂
Shields combos were mad but consistently it’s lacked with cleanliness and the beat was extremely unrefined
Why??
Huhh what??
ugh
inertia look like kounde lol
