    THANK YOU for showing how thick the batter should be before piping. I successfully piped my first soap top last night with this KEY piece of information. I've tried before, but my batter was never thick enough.

    Your video is one of the best detailed I've seen on soap piping. Thank you so much for sharing it.
    Any suggestions on a tip to use for me to make an embed to look like Watermelon seed? I'm thinking of doing it in a "strip" so I can just place it in the soap when doing the red layer.

    I can't thank you enough for all the information you provided in this video. I am just getting into embellishing my soaps and found the information just what I need all in one place. The only thing I didn't see was what temp do you work with for the piping?

      thank you so much for the feedback, you are right about the temperature. you can soap quite warm when piping. I usually do 40-50 Centigrade. If you are using the same batter as for the normal soap just go with your usual temperature wait until it gets to consistency. YOu can stick blend it a little longer. Hope this helps.

    The silicone piping bags are wonderful too and I have been able to buy a piping bag with two separate internal sides within the bag.

      Well, if someone ever has a crisis with a cake, you'll be able to rescue them if the frosting is the correct consistency 😂.

    This is lovely information. I need to know, however, how long a basic cold process soap can set up and still then add piping. Is it possible if a soap has set up for several days to then pipe a layer? Thank you!

      Great question. I never had problems doing it. Add rubbing alcohol to the base layer and preferably add a rather runny soap on top so it can stick well before adding the piping. The thicker the soap the less it tends to stick well. Hugs

    I love this video, I just started piping soap to give my holiday soaps a different look. However I wanted to ask, can I add soap frosting a couple hours after I poured my soap?

      Yes you absolutes can. Give the bottom layer a good Spritz before piping and if you feel it might not hold you can add some thinner piping as a first layer. The harder the piping the less it will stick. Hope it helps.

      No you need a whipped soap base but it won’t harden as much

    Any ideas how can I replace palm oil if I don't want it in my recipe? Maybe with almond oil? What do you think?

      Very good question. I personally had a great result replacing it with Shea butter. Try to replace hard oils with hard oils and soft oils with soft oils. BUT always always run it through a lye calculator. Hope this helps. Hugs

    How do i store remaining batter ? Or it has to be finished?

      You would have to use it before it completely hardens. If you store in a air tight plastic bag you might be able to use it as soap dough depending on the recipe

      @@GB-pl9yv i use Scent perfique for most of my FOs they are in Scottland. Awesome fragrances. There is also the fragrancy in Germany, mainly for Frangrances. Then you have Manske and Dragon Spice for ingredients also in Germany. The Soap Kitchen is located in the UK as well as just a soap
