  • Trying Filipino Street Food in the Philippines 🇵🇭 A Foodie Heaven in Makati Philippines
    I found one of my favorite farmer’s markets in Makati Philippines. Let me introduce you to Salcedo Weekend Market. This market had so many vendors selling food, juices, produce, handmade goods, and so much more.
    The variety of food was amazing, with a mix of Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Malaysian and even Mexican. There was no way for you to leave this market being hungry, as they had all the different country cuisines covered.
    And what made this market so much more inviting was the people working at the individual booths. They were all friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our time at Salcedo Weekend Market and would go there regularly, if we lived in Makati.
    Thank you for watching and be sure to hit that like button. Also, I’d love to hear what you thought of the episode. So please feel free to leave a comment below. Have yourself a wonderful day and I’ll see you back in the next episode.

    We love Filipino pork and chicken skewers (from the states lol 😅) I’m sure it’s at least 10x better in Philippines, right? Everything looks so good. All the drinks ❤❤ Fun video! Thanks for sharing 👍👍

    Bibingka and puto bumbong are both Christmas season staples, although these days, they're now sold in some places all-year-round.

    Don't wanna ruin your day but martabak is southeast asian food but not filipino food. :) But great choices on the other foods! Bibingka is so good. Glad you're open enough to eat the more unpopular parts of pork. That shawarma looks so good too!

      Thank you! The market was really global with different foods from different parts of the world. So we were able to try a variety of foods, making the market very interesting. All the food was really good and we truly enjoyed our time at the market.

    That bibingka looked bare as hell. If you get a chance, you really need to try it right after it is cooked. Many bibingka sellers do it a la minute and top it with butter and grated coconut.

    • @grifsfoodandtravel
      @grifsfoodandtravel  5 месяцев назад

      Oh, that sounds really good. I'll have to look for my next bibingka the way you described.

    Bibingka and Puto Bumbong (pronounced "boom-bong", Filipino words are pronounced very phonetically literal) are christmas foods. the bibingka is cooked with the flame on top of it instead of below
