- Trying Filipino Street Food in the Philippines 🇵🇭 A Foodie Heaven in Makati Philippines
I found one of my favorite farmer’s markets in Makati Philippines. Let me introduce you to Salcedo Weekend Market. This market had so many vendors selling food, juices, produce, handmade goods, and so much more.
The variety of food was amazing, with a mix of Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Malaysian and even Mexican. There was no way for you to leave this market being hungry, as they had all the different country cuisines covered.
And what made this market so much more inviting was the people working at the individual booths. They were all friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our time at Salcedo Weekend Market and would go there regularly, if we lived in Makati.
Thank you for watching and be sure to hit that like button. Also, I’d love to hear what you thought of the episode. So please feel free to leave a comment below. Have yourself a wonderful day and I’ll see you back in the next episode.

Next time you’re in the Philippines please try mangosteen fruits! It’s the most delicious fruits! You’ll love it!🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for the recommendation. Yes, I'll give mangosteen a try!
I’m glad you’re enjoying the food in the Philippines❤️
Thank you! I've having a blast and still discovering new foods.
I miss eating bibingka, especially the ones they have in the provinces, just outside the church.
Ube cheese martabak sounds so good!
Totally unexpected flavor and truly enjoyed it!
We love Filipino pork and chicken skewers (from the states lol 😅) I’m sure it’s at least 10x better in Philippines, right? Everything looks so good. All the drinks ❤❤ Fun video! Thanks for sharing 👍👍
This weekend market would be right up your alley. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Nice Vid About Phil Street Food,
New Subs Here
Thanks so much!
Whoa, now I know what to try when I visit Philippines in September 2024. Thanks for sharing. Very informative for me.
That is awesome! Have a great time during your visit to the Philippines!
I believe nearby Legaspi village also has weekend food on Sundays. Try the boiled peanuts - called nilagang mani 🥜
Oh, I love peanuts! Thanks so much for the suggestion!
Bibingka yum! I think it’s a banana leaf on the bottom 🤙
Thank you for letting us know about the banana leaf. Was curious what type of leaf it was.
Really nice.Thank you
Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Bibingka and puto bumbong are both Christmas season staples, although these days, they're now sold in some places all-year-round.
That is wonderful information to know. Did not know that about bibingka! Thanks so much for sharing.
You should go to Ugbo street food market.
Will remember that for next time, thanks!
Don't wanna ruin your day but martabak is southeast asian food but not filipino food. :) But great choices on the other foods! Bibingka is so good. Glad you're open enough to eat the more unpopular parts of pork. That shawarma looks so good too!
Thank you! The market was really global with different foods from different parts of the world. So we were able to try a variety of foods, making the market very interesting. All the food was really good and we truly enjoyed our time at the market.
フィリピンは私がほとんど知らない食べ物がたくさんあって面白いです❤
Yes, a lot of interesting food.
Hi friend 😂
Greetings!
Martabak is actually an Indonesian Malaysian dessert😊
You are correct. Salcedo Market had vendors offering food from different parts of the world, so locals could try food from outside of the Philippines. Very nice market.
That bibingka looked bare as hell. If you get a chance, you really need to try it right after it is cooked. Many bibingka sellers do it a la minute and top it with butter and grated coconut.
Oh, that sounds really good. I'll have to look for my next bibingka the way you described.
Bibingka and Puto Bumbong (pronounced "boom-bong", Filipino words are pronounced very phonetically literal) are christmas foods. the bibingka is cooked with the flame on top of it instead of below
Wow, that is very cool. Thanks so much for that explanation.
Looks like u missed the famous halal beef kabab vendor
Oh man, I love beef kababs.
The shawarma would have cost $10+ in the States!
That is probably true. Crazy how everything costs so much these days.
Thank you very much for watching my video! Don't forget to check out other episode in the Philippines!
