Is This a REAL 1964 Franklin Half Dollar?
#halfdollar #franklin #rarecoins
NOTE: In the video I said original dies... I meant to say original presses. Daniel Carr owns some of the Original Presses from the U.S. Mint, not the original dies themselves!
OOPS!
Denver Press
WOW, I will give you a dollar and you could double your money. 😂. That is so cool.
I wish, that is so dope. I NEED IT!
I got the morgan and peace dollar in the same case ms 68 &69 😊
Daniel Carr makes some awesome stuff!
Make a full video on this please that’s pretty wild stuff

It's worth a lot.
Nice coin
Cool coin
Carr also made the design For the American prospector gold and silver coin. That coin is Probably the most iconic out there.
I used to have a Benjamin Franklin half Dollar don't remember the year and I always considered that coin to be my best one in my meger collection the sad part about it got stolen from me and I've always had an interest in coins right now I'm trying to collect a pennie from each year since the government started to produce pennies it's been a hard one but fun
Beautiful coin
Any leads on where I can purchase one?
that's pretty cool
I have one of those
Amazing! Value? 😳
so was it issued by the government? if it wasn't issued by the government then my guess is it isn't legal tender.
It's essentially just altered... it's still a real Franklin Half Dollar. Kind of like how painting a quarter doesn't make it not a quarter.
I want a Daniel Carr 1964 peace dollar... Maybe one day
Seeker never even heard of those. How did you get your hands on one, I’m a BIG Benjamin Franklin guy. Wow I’m so jealous 👍👍👍👍
It's owned by a subscriber of mine NCFXSTI! He sent it to me a while back to do a video on. Here's the original video:

@Silver Seeker who?
@@NCFXSTI lol
Well it was a joke, now it's real? We live in a simulation.
Nice
Wonder what the mintage was on those? Are they a key date?
It's not officially part of the set so it's not a key date. Just a cool overstrike.
How was the date modified? I have heard of this and thought it was a rumor. Thanks for the great videos, Silver Seeker!
He created a 1964 Benji Die and pressed it on top of what was likey a 1960 or 1963 I assume.
/ It might be wise to peruse 18 U.S. Code; section 331: Mutilation, diminution and falsification of coins.
Just saying!
@@ronmccord2121 U.S. Silver coins are excluded from that as they are no longer used in circulation. But I'm not a lawyer, that said I am on the side of the guy who has actually produced the designs for multiple, currently in production U.S. Coins to be on the right side of the law here.
SilverTowne in the 80's melted millions of Silver U.S. Coins and turned the silver into bars which they then shipped overseas. This is well known, and as far as I'm aware they broke no laws as they are still in business today.
@@SilverSeeker / This is not legal advice - but, I see less problems with the melting disappearance of a coin (should the law so allow). However, if a person can legally change the date of a Legal Tender coin, what else could be so changed?!!! I would think that the government (and the U.S. Mint) would have the greatest magnitude of interest in keeping its spendable, Legal Tender coins as minted (otherwise, how would anyone recognize a Counterfeit by sight)? The painted over coins did not REMOVE any particle of the original coin (as minted). To me, that is a major difference of importance!
Now, about those 193(2) gold, Double Eagle coins; well, let's not even go there!
My thought is to seek competent legal advice about the legality of deleting any part of a Legal Tender coin (I hereby give and have no legal opinion in this entire matter). It is an interesting subject, though.
nice
Why does the grading company call it a TOKEN?
What is the value of a 1964 Franklin?
I can't help but wonder how many were struck! 🤔
It’s too early for April Fools! 🤣
I own this.... it's as "real" as it gets
How much is it worth
WOW, THATS ONE I DON'T HAVE. LOL EMILE LOVES BENJI'S, JUST SAYING.
Wasn’t this similar to a copy of the War Nickels
when Henning did it with the nickels , he was actually counterfeiting them(500,000 pieces). Dan Carr uses his skills as a designer and engraver to create some US coins that "should have been" . Carr's pieces are altered , Henning produced planchets in an attempt to pass them as government produced coins.
That doesn't seem possible?
So they use a separate dye for the date?
I'm calling BS
I know I was wrong on the cleaned coin (I think)
Daniel Carr is an actual engraver and has designed numerous U.S. Coins... he also has his own mint called the Moonlight Mint. Here's a link. Yes, this is legit btw.

@Silver Seeker you come up with some good stuff lol
@@SilverSeeker hey seeker that's a unicorn I've never seen, I don't really get how he can make us coin it be legal tender and legal.
@@sur-real3416 It was already a legal tender coin he simply modified it... He can't just make one from scratch and it be legal tender.
Does it come with a 1964 Peace Dollar ? 😂
I’m an Aussie but I have to say I hate the ugliness of this design. Sorry 🤣
100th like!!
That is a fake half, it is not real it is a defaced coin or a fantasy piece that has little to no value, do not buy these they are worthless and will belittle your reputation as a coin dealer or collector.
Very much disagree with that and it's definitely not a fake
