‘Light at the end of the tunnel’? What a ridiculous cliche! What the country wants to see is genuine progress and a reduction in the cost of living, not these silly sound-bites! They could start by reversing the abolition of the Winter Fuel Payment to pensioners. We see politicians accepting thousands of pounds in freebies, but poorer pensioners have their £300 docked! Something wrong there. Shades of ‘Animal Farm’ methinks?

Get Boris back he never lied. Never took money, never gave special funds to his mates, didn't party during lockdown. @marksieczko7766 They have other ways of getting that money. If 60% don't need it, I say that's a good thing. Why should my generation who has it much much harder fund billionaire energy companies. Property is 11.5x my salary, and I'm £8000 above the annual living wage. In order to have the same opportunity as pensioners did in the 70'/80's, and have Property 4x my salary, I'd need to earn £85,000 per year as a single person. How's that right!

Will Keir Starmer kindly tell us what is austerity, if this is not austerity where pensioners are concerned? "Tough decisions to build a new Britain", in other words replacing 1million elderly British citizens who will die of cold this Winter, to make room for 1million young male illegal immigrants instead. Modern Britain - out with the old, in with the new.
This is why this country is in decline we spend so much bandwidth on pointless conversations. This also happened under the Tories when there was a ‘scandal’ or ‘news’ multiple MPs are asked the same question for weeks and give the same answer for weeks or someone goes off script and that is the new ‘scandal/news story’.

Is he talking about the coming future event when pensioners have died from freezing to death and pass on to the next life, that tunnel & light that people who have had near death experiences say they saw? Or is it Labour MPs will have a cap on their expenses and 'donations' and are only allowed a maximum £100,000 a year on top of their 'earnings'? Or is it illegal immigrants are only allowed to turn their heating up to gas mark 5 in their free 3,4,5* hotels this winter? I know, he's only going to donate £2 billion to Ukraine next year and cut the yearly donations from £600 million to £500 million so its going to take a little longer for the gangsters to launder taxpayers money?
What Politicians don't understand is if high taxes created success, the UK would be booming. The reason the Country is in trouble is because the highest Taxes in 70 years are destroying the economy. Its the welfare state that's the real problem, no economy can afford to have 9.7 million people between the ages of 18 and 65 economically inactive. Investment only comes if there can be profits....
