It would be very unlikely that the normal Joe on the street would test positive for roxadustar, how come it is usually athletes testing positive for it? Also, when testing positive with very low levels is for me an indication that the athlete attempted to avoid testing positive.
@@DN-kz7xl Most professional athletes consume supplements of various types, for example protein shakes. Halep's claim is that one of her supplements was contaminated with roxadustat. In what circumstances would Joe on the street ever be tested for such a substance. The phrase "very low levels" is meaningless - roxadustat is a threshold drug, which means any concentration below the threshold is not a failure; but concentrations above the threshold are failures.

Shame on them, shame on the leadership, shame on the council for not helping one of their players who has made a very reasonable request for her case to be resolves as quickly as possible. no reason has been given by the ITF why they have postponed and then cancelled the hearings.
Simona so unfair!!! Hearings are postponed again and again Tennis stars who have been involved in doping scandals in recent years, from the news of the suspension to the hearing, the time interval between two to three months is often between: On May 10, 2009, Gasquet was suspended for testing positive for cocaine. The hearing was held on July 15; on March 7, 2016, Sharapova announced through a press conference that she was tested positive for meldonium. The hearing The meeting was held on May 18; on April 18, 2017, Errani learned in the email that he failed the doping test (letrozole), and the hearing was held on July 19 In contrast, in the handling of the "Halep case", the ITF procrastinated a bit strangely, and its actions to cancel the hearings many times are also puzzling. And Halep is also deeply puzzled by this. In fact, this is the main reason for her to speak out through the media this time. The long and futile effort broke the upper limit of her emotional carrying capacity. At the same time, she also wanted to know when she would have the opportunity to prove herself.
Simona: You stated that the amount was LOW, so the ITF needs to finish this length of waiting. This is a MAJOR PROBLEM IN ALL MEANS OF HELPING. How much longer? Unheard Of! Stay Strong Simona! ❤!
1. Doping makes a big difference in performance. Like more than 5%. 2. Less than that is the difference between first and not even qualifying. 3. These are all the facts you need to know to understand the reality of doping in sports.
It is not right for the ITF to make that decision without conclusive evidence, it is very clear that this was a mistake from the ITF, I hope this is solved promptly through the jury case and Simona gets indemnity from the ITF for the damages they have done to her career, God bless Simona and hope you get back to the tennis court soon !!!
So many of us have supported you right from the beginning Simona. Have faith that in time this will work out and you will be back in the game where you deserve to be. This has been an inexcusable action on the part of the ITF.

It's pathetic. She should be given her trial or released on time served. What a corrupt bunch of individuals at the ITF. Her presence on the tour is good for the sport
So glad Simona spoke up for herself. This entire case is suspect from the beginning. Her training, her personality, her style of play is to push her body so hard; it is clear that she would not suddenly (or knowingly) use a banned substance. Whatever minute traces were found, it is no doubt due to cross-contamination, from whatever is in our water system--which makes me think this is why so many delays...as the labs are confused themselves. That said, this prolonged ban is an archaic way to possibly wrongly be punishing someone out of the blue. She needs to stand up to defend herself. I support the hard-working, open to a fault, Simona!

8 months of provisional suspension is a serious damage for a professional. For a top player as Simona was, it is millions of dollars. If we consider that after such a long time of inactivity she might never be able to return to her old level of play, maybe even more. If she is judged positive, she should bring the case to trial.
The ITF and WTA should get their act together and stop this unfair treatment. This is hideous. No one can't tell me that some of the higher ranked male tennis players don't take some enhancing substances. Simona needs to sue the ITF! Look what they did to Maria Sharapova.
If this was an American player or a Williams, the hearing would be tomorrow. A similar thing happened to Sharapova. She tested positive for something that had just been banned. I believe they should have a certain detox period if they are going to ban something.
To hear that makes me sad, because there is a person who wants to work/play and is denied. I hope she will get reimbursed for this blockade in her life! Keep it on Simona!!!
She deserves a hearing. The very fact ITF postponed it twice make them suspect. They should come out with the reason for their decision to deny her a hearing. It is shameful.

She proved that by letting her legendary warrior career in tennis speaking for her for a decade with an unbelievable consistency(most consistent player). Top ten for a decade from which she finished 2 consecutive years as world no.1. She was tested all the time during her career. Why would she start now at 30 years to rsk that knowing she will be tested and the result will come positive. That's suicidal and would be stupid . Watching her super clever game and smart answers in interviews you can't accuse her of beng dumb. Someone please explain to me because this makes no sense.
USANA which was the sponsor of WTA would not want to admit that their supplements could be contaminated, so now the ITF is trying to cover everything...
Halep has three problems. 1) She has strict responsibility for what is in her body. Even if she can demonstrate that she did not knowingly consume roxadustat, the best she can hope for is a reduction in the relevant ban. 2) ITF has shown in the past that it would rather let athletes rot than allow itself to suffer the negative publicity associated with drugs cases. 3) ITF has no interest in discovering whether or not Halep's supplement was contaminated - it is not their problem.
What mistake did they make ? Halep failed a drugs test, and is not contesting that fact. She has made a mitigating claims that ITF is trying to verify. Go figure.
They will never admit it. The corruption runs deep. It is us, the people, who need to do something about it. But we need to first wake up to the cruel reality we are facing, admit we have a huge problem on our hands and then find a way to fix it, instead of giving away all of our power to corrupt and sick institutions. I have no idea how this process works on the international level, but if this were in the US, she'd be looking at a huge lawsuit against the governing body - and i'm guessing she'd win! Hang in here Simona! I believe your story!
It is important to know that supplements are not legally regulated in the same way as pharmaceutical drugs. So, because of this reason, there are times when you are taking a supplement that you might not be aware of other ingredients, or faulty labeling.... A case in point : I bought Alpha Lipoic Acide for problems with neuropathy. I later learned that only Alpha Lipoic Acide with an "R" on the label, is actually the natural and efficient cell improving ingredient. All of the others, the "S" Alpha Lipoic Acide or the ones that do not mention the "R" are synthetic products, which are in fact, detrimental to neuropathy healing. I'm on Simona's side, wishing that this all goes well for her soon. It is rather telling that the ITF has not completed this process with the tribunal. I think that the ITF also needs someone to regulate from outside, especially legal matters but not only.. Case in point; during the terrible earthquakes this year in Syria and Turkey, the ITF was organizing in the middle of this terrible disaster, fun times for international players with absolutely no mention.or awareness of the horrors that were taking place.
@Beach and Nature fan They are, but so is everyone who takes supplements. Unfortunately for the public at large and athletes who are trying to manage their health with the only tools available it is a no-win situation.
@Beach and Nature fan Take advice from people that have had good results with a supplement. Look at the research before you take anything as well, and consult with the science and a doctor who is in the know of supplements. Here in France, a lot of doctors are not aware of things that are not classic medicine. Also, there is the fact that 'specialists' are everywhere, but seldom know much outside of their speciality.
I do not believe she "knowingly" took a banned substance. However, even if found not guilty, this will tarnish her accomplishments in her professional career.
Someone at ITF needs to get fired big time. I am convinced that someone there is on a revenge trip towards her and is pushing his agenda hiding behind the cause of the ITF. It is clear to everyone that she is not quilty of any wrong doing whatsoever.! The truth will prevail as it always does.! Just so very dissapointing that the ITF is handling one of the sports superstars so injustly.🙈
Simona , eu cred , ca cineva ti-a facut asta. Nu i lasa sa te doboare. Este evident ca ai deranjat pe cineva pentru ca ai castigat atatea premi. Succes.
The entire thing is so fecking fishy. Ok, banned substances were found in her test results. Do your investigations and judge the case. The dragging of the foot is very annoying. How do you keep someone benched for 7 whole months? That's almost enough time for a pregnant player to take off. I suspect her husband is trying to get back at her (crazy conspiracy theory, I know) but why is the ITF sitting around pretending to do nothing?!?!
I don’t want to get into conspiracy theories, but we talk about INJUSTICE here. The ITF doesn’t have any respect for human rights and fairness. They are so corrupt that they totally forget that they represent these players on the big stage. These athletes bring this sport everywhere around the world and they are totally put under the bus for no reason….Simona needs justice!
Halep, you’ve just been charged a second doping offense. That’s 2 charges ! I don’t believe you and your previous coaches especially Cahill anymore. We support and love athletes win or lose, but never cheaters. You have lots of money and have had a great life, just move on quietly…
Dear Simona, when same thing happened to Sharapova, you highly criticized her. You didn’t believe her. Why should we believe you? At least Sharapova took the stage and took the responsibility, accepted her faith and came back after the ban. On the other hand, you rejected, even your coache dumped you next day, started coaching another player. Grow up, take the responsibility, continue your life, go on!
If I was her, the May is the final and last time, if they postpone again , then I'd consider taking up legal action against and sue for impediment of trade and lost earnings.
To be honest 8 months provisional suspension isn’t that long. There was a case of a former junior Filip pieczonka who waited a year to get his case heard by the ITF tribunal. Turns out he didn’t intentionally dope however his mother mixed up his prescribed hay fever medication . He sentence was significantly reduced to the point of only being suspended a couple of months. His sentence ended in April of this year.
Whether she's found guilty or not, she deserves to have her case heard. These delays are unfair, they're wasting her time as an athlete.
Totally unfair! ITF Tribunal behavior is like you're guilty until proven innocent.

Simon thx for speaking out. You’re a fantastic tennis player who I enjoy watching! Don’t let ATF politics bring you down. Keep improving and win more championships! A fan in the united States for America! ❤️
Dear Simona, don't give up,keep going ,we are stand by and support you ,you are our Queen.💪
Never believed that she used a banned substance knowingly. Weldone Simona in doing this interview to clear your name and plead to the ITF to expidite the hearing. I just cannot understand how the ITF can take this long to hear her case. For an organization with that much money and influence, this makes them look quite incompetent. Hoping that she gets justice very soon
Think of it as Lawyer's. When was a Lawyer's Case ever settled before untold years? That's how they get so well from others💲💰
All your favourite athletes are on gear.
@@hb1338 Thanks.
How many athletes use the same products and never tests positive? (Rhetoric).
I loved her. These players cannot just give the game up. Look at Murray.
she 30, wtf is wrong with you?
Obviously you're being targeted by ITF, their corrupt stench has no bounds. I hope you'll sue them into the ground in a civil suit after your name is cleared by CAS.
and where does the WTA and its Players Council stand on this issue??? Shame on them, shame on the leadership, shame on the council for not helping one of their players who has made a very reasonable request for her case to be resolves as quickly as possible. no reason has been given by the ITF why they have postponed and then cancelled the hearings.
Simona so unfair!!! Hearings are postponed again and again
Tennis stars who have been involved in doping scandals in recent years, from the news of the suspension to the hearing, the time interval between two to three months is often between:
On May 10, 2009, Gasquet was suspended for testing positive for cocaine. The hearing was held on July 15; on March 7, 2016, Sharapova announced through a press conference that she was tested positive for meldonium. The hearing The meeting was held on May 18; on April 18, 2017, Errani learned in the email that he failed the doping test (letrozole), and the hearing was held on July 19
In contrast, in the handling of the "Halep case", the ITF procrastinated a bit strangely, and its actions to cancel the hearings many times are also puzzling. And Halep is also deeply puzzled by this. In fact, this is the main reason for her to speak out through the media this time. The long and futile effort broke the upper limit of her emotional carrying capacity. At the same time, she also wanted to know when she would have the opportunity to prove herself.
It is a shameless act of persecution of iTF against one of the players. One day we will find out who is behind this awful miscarriage of justice.
Someone somewhere is sitting on this in that ITF causing a delay and in turn wanting to ruin her career 😔
There should be a court case asap
Justice delayed is justice denied. Simona deserves a fair trial to clear her name.
Simona: You stated that the amount was LOW, so the ITF needs to finish this length of waiting. This is a MAJOR PROBLEM IN ALL MEANS OF HELPING. How much longer? Unheard Of!
Stay Strong Simona! ❤!
Hoping this is resolved soon (the delay is absurdly long and shows very questionable legitimacy) for you soon, Simona.
Shame on the ITF for cancelling her hearing. Let justice do its work.
What's the holdup on not hearing this case and making a judgment? This is ridiculous. It's not a complicated case.
I don’t believe she’s guilty, it should’ve been handled in a timely manner
We love you Simona, and can’t wait to see you in court very soon!! 🎾
Maybe journalists need to pressure the ITF into giving an adequate update on their investigation.
This hasn’t aged well.
Keep the faith, Simo. The truth always comes out. Always by your side, no matter what. 💚
Jeez!! No work. It’s time for compensation
Why do I feel like someone purposedly contaminated her supplement and now is bribing ITF to not accept her case? This entire story smells like a revenge of sorts. The video made me sob in my heart, I feel so sorry for this hardworking girl, she don't deserve this treatment. Stay strong Simona, you will get trough as a winner! Forza!
Pretty sure she clearly explained where it came from.
I totally agree. I think, as was the case with Djokovic , she has been sabotaged by people with an agenda. These demonic people are in all of the institutions, including sports.
you tuat
The usual bureaucratic fiddling, incompetence and procrastination. Nothing can possibly justify this kind of delay
@@RoverWaters spell check
It's pathetic. She should be given her trial or released on time served. What a corrupt bunch of individuals at the ITF. Her presence on the tour is good for the sport
Siempre he admirado a Simona por su cspacidad de lucha estoy seguro que volvera y demostrara su talento
We should not judge people and listen carefully, we support the true, nobody deserves to live in this situation, FUERZA❤❤❤❤ SIMONA!
There have been TWO INTERNATIONAL BREACHES registered with Halep !!!! Sounds like you don't know Halep and what her history is.
Don't say you have never doped when testing has been done and doping has been found. It may be a "surprise" to Halep, but she cannot simply deny the test findings. This just demonstrates IGNORANCE at every level. The world knows all about "doping". When players in ANY sport are caught, it usually gets PUBLICIZED. We, the public, have all heard it before ......AND SO HAS HALEP.
The only thing she can do is initiate her own personal "qualified and certified third party investigation", if she is going to claim she has "absolutely never doped" .....because NO ONE is ever going simply going to believe her word.
Not a good sign ....TWO INFRACTIONS ....!! Good luck with "proving" she has never doped.
Ever hear of LANCE ARMSTRONG? .....and there are DOZENS of athletes that have done the same thing.

Its insane that any player should go through this, Simo certainly doesnt deserve it. I agree with above comment, it sounds as if she is caught up either in red tape or something is very wrong. It is grossly unfair. Cant wait for her to clear her name, and strut the tennis courts again. My heart goes out to her.
Lol you think she's innocent? Why would a healthy person have a drug in their system that is used for anaemia in chronic kidney disease?
Your heart goes out to her? Just LOL. What about innocent civilians being blown to piece in war? Does your heart "go out to them" as well? She's earned $millions and only she - no one else - is responsible for what she puts into her body when taking supposed "supplements".

8 months of provisional suspension is a serious damage for a professional. For a top player as Simona was, it is millions of dollars.
If we consider that after such a long time of inactivity she might never be able to return to her old level of play, maybe even more.
If she is judged positive, she should bring the case to trial.
Rooting for Simona Halep! She needs to get back on court a.s.a.p ! God Bless!
The ITF and WTA should get their act together and stop this unfair treatment. This is hideous. No one can't tell me that some of the higher ranked male tennis players don't take some enhancing substances. Simona needs to sue the ITF! Look what they did to Maria Sharapova.
All my family, dear Simona, is with you in this battle! You are an amazing person and tennis player! Also an example for my daughters!
@2:22 "Do you know how this substance could OF entered your body?"....really? Could of??? Who's doing these video, a high-school drop-out?
Go Simona!! it's a pleasure to see you on the tennis court!!
She deserves a hearing. The very fact ITF postponed it twice make them suspect. They should come out with the reason for their decision to deny her a hearing. It is shameful.
A real fan that watched how she fighted like a gladiator in arena for a decade , a modern tennis female version of david fighting against female versions of goliath' s when it is to compare her physical attbutes with her opponents will never believe that simona would risk like that her status in tennis history. And is not her trophies that comes first for her, but the respect for the sport of tennis.
It looks like the ITF has made a horrible mistake and now they can not admit it... Poor Simona! Stay strong! ❤
We are run by psychopaths
Love you Simona. Have faith and be strong your fan fr. Philippines. I hope the ITF will give her considerations so she can play again.
It's so unfair! 😔 The truth wins. I keep my fingers crossed for you, champ and I hope you will be back soon on tenis court! #freeSimo #keepfighting #protestAgainstITFTribunal 💙💛❤️
I believe her and she should be heard, and not be denied sad how people can control your life and unfair.

To come back to tennis 💪
4 years is unbelievable , it's like the Italian tennis player who explained it . which was true but still banned her I think it was eranni . just doesn't make sense her risking everything when she has reached her goal of winning Wimbledon and being a member
You can hear in Simona's voice that she's been wronged. This is truly heartbreaking.
I agree. It appears there is something more behind this situation. I say the ITF is the guilty party ☹️
In top-class sport there is doping let the woman play
It can be very hard to face the truth about one's self. Caught a second time, now her reputation is shot. Will she come clean, or continue denial?
I have no idea how this process works on the international level, but if this were in the US, she'd be looking at a huge lawsuit against the governing body - and i'm guessing she'd win! Hang in here Simona! I believe your story!
If she was from a western country the trial would have been done already.
Speedy processing of the case is essential for all parties concerned. Whi is the ITF/A delaying?
I hate her for def. Serena in 2019 Wimbledon final. But I have no doubt this woman would never cheat.
You gotta complete that title, buddy. I was thinking she tested positive for HIV. Now, I am over here trying to overwrite that thought in my brain.
It shouldn't take 7 months to do lab tests, ITF should have outsource the testing.
My Simona..força..fé principalmente confia Pai Azul te abençoa ❤
Rafa been using PEDS for years. Double standards

Любим тебя и ждём!!! ♥️🕊️♥️💋💋💋🤗🤗🤗
WTA & ITF are playing with her career!!! It's not fair that she is not getting an expedited hearing,
Dear Simona, when same thing happened to Sharapova, you highly criticized her. You didn’t believe her. Why should we believe you? At least Sharapova took the stage and took the responsibility, accepted her faith and came back after the ban. On the other hand, you rejected, even your coache dumped you next day, started coaching another player. Grow up, take the responsibility, continue your life, go on!
Incredible! 8 months?!?
Great interview to let her get out her side
If I was her, the May is the final and last time, if they postpone again , then I'd consider taking up legal action against and sue for impediment of trade and lost earnings.
Stay strong simona I miss you on tour. Wish you well. Hope they get this straightened up soon.
Since murderers have the right to a speedy trial, she certainly deserves the same right
Criminal behavior from the ITF
What is the brand of contaminated supplement? The company should be investigated for conflict of interest. …
She should suit the company
To be honest 8 months provisional suspension isn’t that long. There was a case of a former junior Filip pieczonka who waited a year to get his case heard by the ITF tribunal. Turns out he didn’t intentionally dope however his mother mixed up his prescribed hay fever medication . He sentence was significantly reduced to the point of only being suspended a couple of months. His sentence ended in April of this year.
And how is that fair??? Shouldn’t these official bodies promote fairness? Why do people with power disrepect the athletes’ basic rights?
We needed to hear this. We are on your side. Ridiculous that you aren't back playing already.
The ITF is a terrible organization… as an amateur world ranked tennis player … I hated the ITF…
