    I don't want to say anything negative about the skill of Taiga. But something bugs me about demos like this. They dug this tree from a mountain somewhere and nurtured it back to health. That must have taken years. No doubt it is hundreds of years old. And then the styling has to he rushed in half a day. That just doesn't feel right. A tree like this deserves more attention and patience. I understand that demos are a source of income for bonsai professionals. But can we think another form of demo? Apart from that, watching someone wire for hours is plain boring.

    • @MrYoumitube
      @MrYoumitube 5 лет назад

      If they can extend the demo for a week it would probably give the tree the best justice. Although you have a bonsai master at work not some bonsai enthusiast with a rush job so it's probably in the best hands for the short amount of time to be worked on.

      To be honest: I totally disagree here. A bonsai is finished at the date of his death not earlier. That is usually the speed of a bonsai master at work. Than you let the bonsai grow for another year and prune its branches and roots again, wire it again, make some new shari if needed and repot it than. If a master would take 10 days for a first job, he would go crazy. You underestimate natures impact on this. And actually thats the big deal of a bonsai. The patience you have to bring for natures part.

    awesome work but think safety first. Safety glasses should be worn when using power tools.

    Get the poor guy some safety glasses!

  • @J-S-T
    @J-S-T 8 лет назад +2

    Nxt time use safety goggles and a proper Torch light!
    Lead by example.. Thats why tools are made for...
    Apart from that, keep up the good work!

    Taiga, not using safety glasses makes you look unprofessional...

    • @MrYoumitube
      @MrYoumitube 4 года назад

      I agree Taiga should wear safety glasses, but in all honesty, I think the Japanese, especially in the bonsai culture, do not tend to wear safety glasses, maybe it is a sign of weakness? In Japan Taiga and his master are regarded as one of the finest bonsai artists, they can sale Bonsai for ridiculous amounts of money. So in his eyes and many Japanese saying that he is unprofessional is probably the furthest from the truth.

    This is not bonsai.

    • @hazskipper9597
      @hazskipper9597 6 лет назад +3

      This is yamadori, advanced bonsai, he likely studied under Kimura, the guy has probably given his life to bonsai and has worked hundreds and hundreds of trees.. he's not working a small juniper because that's no challenge.
      This live demonstration encompasses every element of bonsai, this is where knowledge and respect carries you in the world of bonsai, to a stage where you show case your knowledge of trees and tools.
      if this not bonsai what is, please share???
