I like how the blackout now can be explained as a transition while your pilot settles into their seat/gets neural linked.
First person embarks ar le in my opinion way better. It really gives you a feeling that you, the pilot, is commanding a enormous heavily armed and tanky mecha.

@@bubby1668 wrong again mechs are controlled by pilots or paladins titans are controlled by pilots that mostly control there weapons and movement the titan uses a Avance AI system to run the basics of survival for there team and them selfs and there pilots

I missed these. First person embarks really put you as the player into the game. So Im very happy to see such amazing detail once again
I always prefered the first person embarks of Titanfall 1.

@@brendanelstad669 It's a setting in the Northstar client. If you go in a private match, then in the private match settings, find riff settings. It's near the bottom called something like "first-person titan embark/execution"
I never realized that atlas is the only one with alternate exit and entry points. That's why Atlas is best chassis

Seeing these at last makes me smile cause things being done in first person is a detail I believed Titanfall 1 had over Titanfall 2. Sure, the killing animations are more animated and crazy than a single twist of the neck, but in reality, as a pilot, that and knife stabs are the way to go for quick and easy execution kills. And the embarking and executing in first person as Titans feels so much better cause the 3rd person kinda just makes it feel like a cutscene playing.
There are other things I can say, but overall, seeing these be made in first person by the community made my night.
One word. Immersion.

This is so cool!
I remember back in TF1 for one Titan Chassis there was an embark animation where the pilot would run up the arm and flip inside the cockpit. The first time I understood what was happening was the point after which I always tried to enter my Titan like that.
I do remember though that it wasn't the Ogre chassis so I seldom actually got to see that animation because i often used the Ogre
Ogre did have a really cool embark where you jumped on its wrist and in.
Another thing I miss was each class titan had its own HUD of were the hatch disconnects
Yes. Details like that made the first game feel much more immersive than the second.

I think this wasn't put in the game by Respawn because they can't be bothered to change the titan hud to be different for 7 titans and instead they just made all of them the Vanguard/Monarch hud and made the animations third person so you wouldn't notice the problem as easily.
If there is a way for modders to add in new custom huds for each titan that would be really cool but probably quite hard as well.
What I mean by titan hud is like in the first game where each titan had a different looking screen that matched the inside of the titan, Scorch should have the same as Ogre, Ronin should have the same as Stryder and every other titan should have a new one made for them excluding monarch.
It would be hard but i believe that they will find a way to do it in the near future.
honestly the more they go into cartoony territory the less i like the asthetic, titanfall 2 is great looking but in terms of asthetic ithink titanfall 1 wins, and apex is just way worse
@@aguspuig6615 I agree that they should stop getting more and more cartoony but personally I prefer how Titanfall 2 looks over Titanfall 1, yes the first game looked more gritty and real but the second game has a really unique style that is not super gritty like COD but not too cartoony either, also the colourful maps like crash site look stunning in my opinion, apex is definitely a good game but they took the art style a bit too far with how much more cartoony it looks
the different portions sliding in is probably the hardest part to change, bc they are either seperate viewports or shader paths, because they can't be animated gifs (or the game equivalent and show the outside while animating, unless its greenscreened or transparent? it could be transparant if the view is scrolling instead of moving
i think upon rewatching, it has to be either greenscreened animation or seperate viewports, bc when the panels fade in, you can see a different perspective from them
If u pay attention, inside scorch's cockpit u can see that there's lines in the door that actually match the hud we have
Looks awesome. I wish they would consider adding the TF1 style of rodeo back, or maybe an option between TF1 and TF2 rodeoing

The Titanfall 1 music helps call back to my childhood on TF1 so much, perfect fit for something the first game got so right
This is literally the only thing i wanted from Titanfall 2..... well that and the titan voice options in the first game were reeeeeally nice too.
God I love this game I played the shit outta the first one then d day struck and here we are but I recently got back into titanfall 2 and the fun is still there if not more so this game series is without a doubt the best shooter ever created and it deserves more love than what it’s gotten it’s a shame respawn abandoned it but atleast they gave us the gift of preparing for titanfall
Imo the Monarch Scorch and Legion are the best, can't help they are my favorite Titans, and i grown very fond of them

The first person executions were pretty cool to look at and some of them even looked pretty good but the 1st person embarks genuinely fit perfectly into the game, almost looks like something meant to happen
I love how the models have a fully detailed interior when we don't really see it a lot in multiplayer.

Idealy the option to remove all 3rd person content from a match and campaign wough be great, especially if someone figures out how to remove the campaign music.

That's something you can only do in video post production, because it is not part of the game.

i know im a little late to the party. but this... this kinda is the reason i stopped playing Titanfall 2. cause i missed the Immersion of being a pilot. well done, just found out about this and am Reinstalling it to give it a shot

Can you get the HUD off in the options of the game?
Yes. Simply install the No-HUD Mod and you can enable/disable the HUD with the press of a button. Link in description.

Just got this video recommended to me, what’s the music in the background? It’s so beautiful. And just my opinion, if they make a third one and bring all the first person animations back, I’ll buy it like titanfall 1. One reason I was against titanfall 2 back when it released was that it didn’t have the first person animations/executions that made it so unique to other games. (Also because I miss atlas 😔)

Surely it wouldn’t be too hard to import the titanfall 1 embark animations for each class?
Stryder ones for ronin and Northstar
Atlas ones for ion, Tone and monarch
Ogre ones for scorch and legion
Titanfall 2 has recycled animations from the first game, but also new ones.
I wonder if a VRMod can be possible with this client...
They did this in titanfall (the first game) but it caused too much motion sickness
At first I couldn't figure out why some of these look familiar, then I remembered the campaign has some 1st person embarks.
It has, kinda, but those of the campaign are not in the multiplayer and they are not 100% 1st person.

This looks amazing although I feel the FOV is a bit too zoomed out during the embark which looks a bit weird when the embark ends and the hud/screens activate

In my perfect Titanfall game, players could choose between first person, third person and random.
I mean the original, smoother animations.
@@imcpilotmichaelbell1185 That's what I mean. But those modded ones here are not animated by Respawn, they are basically just the ones we have, but in 1st person. If there is any chance of a third game some day, I'd prefer real 1st person and 3rd person animations. Everyone would be happy then.

That's why I am a PC player ever since. Because of modding. In the late 90s/early 2000s we basically had mods for every game. Then devs realized they can sell DLCs and console became mainstream. That was the death of a lot of mods.

You will have everything plus custom made skins, if you download them.

When the game launched 5 years ago, Tone was my main, because I still loved the 40mm from the first game.
How did you get it in first person?

The fov looks a little too big in pilot mode while embarking, so you should probably adjust it to match the titan view.
I play Titanfall 2 with 110 FOV.
I play on 20 fov but I’m not forcing you

I think the camera should be just a tad bit lower
It was never intended to be that way, so it is unfinished.
Based on the monarch Titan embarking animation putting the pilots head a little more down and forward would make it much better.
Also making it darker inside with a blackout would make sense and the transition between pilot and Titan better
Edit: I just played Northstar client myself and the first person embarking animation is better with my 90 fov this video fov is just insane I I don't know if it's high or low fov tho
Since you say Monarch, I also think the single player embarks look pretty good. I still don't get it, why they did not include them into multiplayer. They had a nice mix between 3rd and 1st person.
Yeah with monarch being a vanguard replica I based it on Jack Cooper's POV in BT so if you embarked it should look something like that

First you need to play the game via the Northstar Client. When you set up a server, you can then set it to on/off in the match settings. There are even more settings. If you join a server via server browser and the admin has turned it on, everyone will have it. I made a video when the Northstar Client released back then, showing the option and how to install. The first person embark is not a mod. It is a server side feature of the Northstar Mod itself. So you can not use it in vanilla, until someone creates a first person empark mod for vanilla. :(

No. There is a small group working on a project to bring back Titanfall Online, but I don't know if they make any progress.

Sadly you can not mod the PS4 version, so this is a PC only thing. I'd love to see it coming to consoles, but I assume this will never happen.

Not that I know. It is not a client side mod, it is a server setting.

You install and play with the Northstar Client. It does let you play on custom servers, or you can create a lobby yourself with that option. And it is super easy to use. It is PC only thou.
