How much VERT are you putting on your builds?
67 for 7'3 center build for gold rise up
Can you do steal for intercepting passes? Not just the interceptor badge because I’m wondering if I can still get in the lanes with a 72 steal.
80
@@dregamingzbro I have a 85 and I mostly get tips with no steal or the ball goes right through me I had lots of success last year in the lanes I don’t get what I’m doing wrong 😭
@@SwooshGxdyou gotta use right stick and maybe try change your pro stick orientation for defence in settings to camera relative
Vertical affects a lot of rebounds, the way you can grab it over your opponent. Also a lot more blocks and better block animations with a higher vert.
I agree with you, I think Ima remake my rebounder and put a higher vert and higher o rebound on it too, it doesn’t catch any o boards because I have a 57 o board with 80 vert
80-85 just feels a little more snappy with and without the ball but rebounding is where it shines most
Glad you said it bc you can have higher rebound, higher vert, more strength, and yet still get swim moved by a defender or out jumped while being taller. This game be making zero sense at times lol
I always say that if your against a smaller player the game just punished you most of the time and doesn't let you jump at all and the other small player (if it has a high vert) will out jump you so bad...
vertical gets you higher rebound animations. It’s like getting contact dunk animations. I’m not sure at what rating it happens but I know it does. At least in past 2ks. In 22 and 23 I had a big with and without high vert. The vert made a difference undoubtedly. The only problem is knowing when the explosive rebound animations get unlocked.
I agree with everything you just said. I’ve been maining a Rodman like build these past two years with high rebounding and 90ish vert and I get CRAZY rebounding animations over bigs. It’s super fun and was hoping it’d get covered in this video.
I've gotten explosive rebounds with a 70 vert. Higher vert probably just raises the frequency.
@@TheAliali375 If that’s the case, I’d say it’s worth it. Rebounds are so crucial.
Facts. There's a sweet spot every year and I'm trying to figure it out for my 6'8. 92 vert has him not jumping at all and only jumps to the ceiling when there's 0 chance of a block or rebound. 84 vert is great on the 6'8 as last year, I found 84 worked best. 90 vert is also great on my 6'8 this, but is EXCELLENT on my 6'7. He jumps super high for the boards, probably better than my 6'8 and 6'9. I just want to know what's the sweet spot for the 6'8. I assume that you need less vert if you're taller, so the sweet spot has to be between 83-89 😮💨. Ugh
I have two C builds one with 88 vert and the other with 70. The 88 vert helps with those in the paint “press jump at the last second to snatch block” kind of situations . The 70 vert doesn’t help with rebounds as my guy won’t jump up and grab the ball at the apex more like if it falls in his direction. But my 88 vert center I can press jump when it hits the rim and he will do the animation where he reaches out with one hand and grabs it at the highest ish point
I have an 80 vert on my glass cleaning inside/out threat, which is the same rating I used on my last build for 2k23. The extra bump in vert definitely helps this year; I can tell the difference because other people I know with similar height/rebounding arent getting as many boards.
I agree it isnt a huge boost, but could be the thing that gices you the advantage against a matchup with similar attributes. 80 seems like the sweet spot for bigs, as it allows ypu to unlock Gold Chasedown I believe in addition to the lil bump to your rebounding.
Solid points! Thanks for sharing!
nice bro. i just made a big with an 82 vert, so this is great information. thanks.
say what you want i have a 82 vert on my 7footer and the way i be jumping for blocks and rebounds over taller builds is crazy
I like smaller big man with speed like the pure reds so I always have high block, rebound, vert and interior. I have them all 90 plus.
@@nba2ktutesdoes vertical affect you’re jumpsuit height?
I've tested the rebounding for you and trust me everybody you need vertical if you want to snag boards over your opponent. Especially combined with a low rebounding rating. It makes a huge difference. .
Still great video Tutes, keep up the great work.🔥💯
Thats what i noticed. Higher rebounds effect your ability to grab boards. Like that hedi "force" if snagging the ball from somebody higher than you is the higher rebound. But if you're coming in with 60s rebound, pairing it with a high vert lets you jump higher. Too low of a rebound and it wont let you jump, though. Mid 60s is probably the sweet spot.
I just started a 6’10 build and he has a 60 vert 83 rebound, trae young got a rebound over me cuz my player didn’t wanna jump
@@shannonwinthrop3302it always gives you those hawk animations from way further out when you’re running in from the corner to grab your teammates miss on o boards
@@SeizedM0neynah bro a 6’1 rebounding over you is wild
Gotta disagree as one who looks at the numbers pre game. Just bc you’re stronger, got more vert, higher rebound attribute, and taller doesn’t mean you’ll snag more boards. At times we want logic to matter but then 2k steps in smh
From my experience as a center with 7' 3" centers to 6' 7" center, I feel like shorter centers that have a higher vertical get more rebounding animations than taller centers with minimum vertical.
I’m 7”2 with a maxed out 74 vert and smaller Centers (7ft or shorter) snag over me. Even when I have better position. Very annoying…
thanks for sharing my friend
Its bc most people dont box out thats why u get out rebounded
@@LuckySpumoni always box out behind the restricted area line.....if you focus on that you should be fine. Even if you box out inside the restricted area , they can still get the board because of its trajectory of the ball after the miss.
I had a 6'9" and 7'3" center in 23. My 6'9" had 90 vert and only 94 defensive rebound. I used to out rebound bigger builds all the time. Testing on 24
I like how they made physical attributes work with the player skills to unlock badges but tbh they could go farther with that if they simple make the lower your skill is the higher chance you’ll get a foul or another negative penalty for it. Example on offense low dunk rating will mean someone can block you easier or you’ll mess up the dunk if you have low ball handle you can’t do a lot of dribble moves and it’ll be easier to steal the ball from you. Pair both of those with physicals and it’s like ok high strength low dunk means you catch a charge foul by trying to dunk over someone but instead jumping right into them, low vertical with high dunk means flashy dunks but no contact dunks, high speed/acceleration with low ball handle means if you want to speed boost or sprint a lot with the ball you might trip yourself up cause you’re not good at controlling the ball while using all your speed resulting in a loose ball or a pick up. On defense of you have a. Low steal for one if you try to steal a lot instead of it just not working it should give you the foul, that would stop players from spamming it looking for a lucky pluck like if you have low steal don’t even try or you’re gonna foul out or give free points (or both), high block but low vertical could mean you’re great at blocking ppl your height and below cause you can accurately knock the ball off course so they miss but against ppl with high vertical or taller players you simply can’t reach the ball to block it, high strength and high vertical would help prevent players from dunking on you because not only can you just high enough to contest but you have the strength to contest the momentum the dunker is coming with(either the dunk will fail or the dunker gets knocked out of the animation and forced into a layup). Physicals could be so much more and it would open up more ways to play like if there was a guarantee way to prevent players from contact dunking on you im sure a lot of players would want that. It would also give way to more animation’s possibly like block animations, are you more of the put your hand in the way so the ball stops maybe you can get some snatch blocks with those or are you more of a flashy fly swatter reader to send shots on a first class trip to the other side of the court? Maybe you’re a crafty blocker so instead of sending it down you send it up that way it’s still within range of a being rebounded instead of flying out of bounds for the reset which almost always gives the ball to the other team.
Bro this is oc
OC
That's a lot of words
Bro 2K already takes low/high ratings into account - it all affects which animations play out. For example, if you have a low layup/dunk rating, it makes it much easier for a defender to get a block or contest. Same logic applies to ball handling & steals, and pretty much any other situation. Your attributes & the defenders attributes are all taken into consideration & dictate which animations play out
Please test clamps, immovable enforcer and fast feet! Preferably in that order but definitely the first two over fast feet.
Bro thats crazy Im literally waiting on video on all 3 of these b4 i make my next build🤣 i need to know how ham is immovable force, do i need it? Or im good with jus Gold Clamps
I can tell you it’s amazing to have on a high tier. I make people pick up dribble, drop the ball or commit charging fouls often.
immovable enforcer>clamps>fast feet. i have a 60 perimeter d with an 82 strength on one build and it plays arguably better d than my 90 perimeter d lock with silver clamps and fast feet with bronze immovable enforcer. granted, the one with lower d has more speed so that might help, but it’s just what i’ve noticed so far. Making dribblers lose their stamina and adrenaline bars is way more effectiv
@@Isaac-mk3wjFacts ! I'm on a 6'10 no clamps 65 perimeter 84 strength and im sticking
@@larryvaughn7673 the only thing that sucks is when you get screened to death cuz of the lack of pick dodger. but having a good team negates that so it doesn’t matter too much at the end of the day
Man, everybody on here is bragging about 85 vertical, and thats like the minimum I use for any build I make.
Was kind of hoping to see some opinions on builds with 92 or higher, something sick like that lol.
I have a 75 vert with a 6'6 guard with minimum to no rebounding attributes. I get a lot of rebounds and putbacks with it and In my experience, I believe its helps a lot. Dunk is an 86.
We on the same wave my dunk is 86 nett 99 an my dunks are out of this world
What's your rebound stats
85 Vert on my 6’10 is fantastic even with only having silver rebound chaser but gold anchor
I’m on a 6 9 power forward with 86 vertical and lemme tell you the snatch blocks and rebounding animations I get are unreal lol
The difference I see on my 6’11 7’5 wingspan SF between 84 vert and 85 vert frustrates me so bad to choose to live with a damn near perfect build or sacrifice some points to have what I want but don’t necessarily need lol
I snag boards just fine with 84 and dunk good but that mf 85 maaaan!!!! It’s like he leaps like he don’t want no one else to have it and he takes off much further
I’m glad I saw your comment for confirmation. I looked at Giannis and All Time 76ers Ben Simmons and saw both verticals at 85 and I was just thinking that was the gate for athletic animations.
Great vid! Rebounding is for sure the hardest to test, but apart from unlocking dunk animations... it's the stat most affected by vert... night and day when jumping over other centers
Ppl in the community steadily tryna cheat the system and put attributes right at the thresholds and wonder why they can’t get the animations they seek. You have to go above to get those animations. The thresholds just unlock them but they won’t trigger as much …
Facts bro, a lot of people seem to not understand does your attribute affect your animations heavily and with 2K 25 coming out I want to see on if they're going to be any differences on that matter
I got a 6’7 Zion pf build and the 86 vert helps a lot with rebounding over taller players
I made a 90 Vert 6'9 center with 92 O Board, 90 D Board, 92 Block, 78 Perimeter, 80 Interior, can shoot, pass, dunk and a bit of layups. He is so much faster then the other centers on the court and that is the main reason I did it. With silver anchor I wont be a liability on the defensive end either.
Oh and 90 strength so I aint getting babied either.
I have something very similar to that too its my favorite build to play with but I rarely go up against a build like mine so I always have the advantage..
@@J-God_1999 exactly 💯 The best center is a center that has the other advantages most other bigs don't, such as speed and shooting.

It’s so crazy that we have to go through all this for a game that they should explain it to us not for us to figure out. Thank you 2klabs
@@BigDrewDaDDy1192klabs is useless. this is tutes he’s better than labs
Vert def helps with rebounding. I run it at 90, with a 93 rebound and 93 interior on my 6’7.
As with most other stats balance is key, these video's along with comments from players definitely help to find the sweetspot for each one
Very helps you get up higher on close shots and O-Boards and if you have touch passer and high vert you can throw outlets before hitting the ground or go back up if it’s an O boatd
Did my own test.
6'0 pg with 99 vert can't touch rim.
7'6 Shawn Bradley, with no vert, grabs rebounds at top of the backboard with his armpit at the rim.
Both jumps, their feet were same distance off ground.
Not 100% on this but I do believe that vert can actually increase the green window on moving jumpers, I had a problem of not being able to hit my moving fades consistintly enough and changed a bunch of stuff and when I changed the vert it seemed to make the shot more consistient and easier to hit.
I seen a guy in rec yesterday....who was jumping over everyone to grab rebounds.....and i was wondering wth his vert was cause he was just so higher than everyone else. And my team center had a 94 defensive rebound
I kind of dislike 2k took out the ability to view the guys u last played builds in the phone option like 2k23
Right I got a 86 vertical on my big with 93 o board and sometimes centers jump higher than me.And I’m wondering how lol
So... Vert doesn't matter, aside from unlocking animations and badges.
I only got a 70 rebounding with 70 vertical…I put points elsewhere to try n make the best balanced build I could
My 6’10 with max vert gets up so high for rebounds, I have no issue banging with the big boys. Very Definitely impacts rebounding a ton.
How’d you make your 6’10 I was considering it for the speed advantage but I couldn’t get the build right for my liking.

Vert absolutely helps on rebounding. I usually keep it at 85 and up on all of my builds and I know the bigs get mad in the rec when I pull 15 boards with a 6'8 wing with silver or gold rebound chaser😅
I basically have a 6’7 Kawhi/ Paskel type build but to me it basically Jaden McDaniel 😅
Had to like and subscribe anyone who doesn’t is a jerk I kno you put in a lot of work for those calculations 💪🏽
I always have a very special big with maxed vertical (88) and 94 block
i've been telling people for the longest. a HIGH VERT is so underrated. i always try to go 85+ with my locks and bigs. you can definitely see the difference compared to other builds with a vert rating of an 80 and under.
Yo I literally needed this video there’s no way 😭 thanks a lot bro I was searching all of yesterday but no videos were made yet.
2k needs to fix vertical statistics. no way someone that has no vert is able to do the same thing as someone with max vert. physics are physics. if anything in this basketball should be realistic that should be a main.
Tutes we are here for a reason. Commenting, liking and viewing. No need to add a cut scene to let us know you’re doing this full time. It comes off as pandering.
Thanks for the feedback and i appreciate the support but based on my analytics there's a lot better chance that a viewer will subscribe if you remind them.

No way definitely affects rebound my homie has the same rebound but more vertical and he out rebounds me
Needed to test this on rebounding and straight up jump contests
I got 80 vert on my 7 ft center and I get tons of blocks and rebounds
Thanks Tutes. Is it possible for you to test right stick ripper?
80 block 87Vert on a 6ft6 high flyer 77 speed I can zoom around ALL OVER the perimeter for blocks and get a healthy amount of chase down
Does Gym Rat even do anything? you should do current gen to get more in-depth with the programs to lnow ahead of time for most thorough test
Tutes make a video about mid range and what rating you need to shoot consistently ‼️
I have a 87 vert and haven’t notice a difference besides on rebounding. I’m a SF
Yeah at most 75 to 80 Vert but my block is minimum 87
It helps with blocks because my player jumps pretty high for block jumps
Heyyy i actually asked for this in comments in one your other videos let’s go
But if it's only helping 5% on jumping contests at the rim, then it's likely only helping 5% on blocks at the rim as well
Clamps and immovable enforcer next please
I made a center 7’0 with a 65 vert and with 99 o and d rebounding. Average 20+ rebounds in the rec. vert doesn’t help with rebounds
Cap
is 60 viable if I have a 77 block and 78 offensive rebound OR am I better off relying on the vert rating
Why wouldn’t there be a noticeable game play difference with higher vert ratings. 20 years in and this game still isn’t up to par. Everyone just tolerates a sub par product. Badge regression was their focus 🤦🏽♂️
I put 80 vert on my 6’10” PF 2-Way Interior Threat
Can you please test clamps badge next tutes?
Why did you remove your Big Driver video Tutes?
Appreciate the info!
Can you do a video on Big Driver?
Need is interior D more important than block!
wwwhat about rebounding I notice when I have 90 vert and 99 rebounds its lights out even against 7 footers on my 6 8 tank
And for layup ?
yo can you test the most effective dribble moves for creating space or the best pull up/ step back jumper ?
What was the vert level at when you tested the 25-99 block? Couse This really doesn’t say anything about block percentages with different vert levels
Does a 75 Vert on a 6’4 guard help you get contacts in future?
I made a dennis rodman build and it's the best paint build in the game 6'7 max wingspan and I rarely lose rebounds against taller players
Stats?
i have 94 vert
Similar.. Mines 6 8 max wingspan. Dudes be thinking they gone body me in paint I be blocking and snagging boards.90 vertical. 😂 and perimeter defense is 80 so I can stay decently in front of guards
As a 6’6 floor spacing slasher i need to know if 82 vert well get me right.
Does vertical impact lane steals when running in transition
25 and 99 and a bad comparison... U gotta try 65-99 at least it makes more since
Does vertical play a factor for lane steals I have 89 steal but all I do is tip the ball
Test wingspan man! Can I go min wingspan and still snag with a 7 footer that can shoot??
Test out vert with chase down artist bro.. I think thats valuable info

@nba2ktutes Did you know that when have a high standing dunk your green window is small but if you have a low standing with a high driving you het a bigger standing dunk green window???
Yes, thats actually my latest video
if ya had to pick 85 vert or 90 vertical for my 6'8 power foward?
90 if you want to play as a center comfortably
What about rebounding? I notice some builds jumping like crazy on rebounds
Right me too
Tutes can u do another video on motion styles? Word around is the best ones are kawhi, iguodala, and gary trent jr. Could u test to see which one is faster laterally and running up and down the court?
very specific case but i wonder if it effects jump ball.
it should
Can you test intercepter badge
Can u look into defense n like do u need perm for immovable force to work
Does Vert affects Jumpshots?
Show how it effects rebounds
Can you check if there’s a sweet spot?
will u rebound better and get better steals an standing dunk an dunk better with. 84vert or 99? or no difference?
and block better*^
hey Tutes, constructive criticism: The two points most affected by Vertical are rebounds and chase down artist (challenging a driving coming from behind the opponent).
The first (reb) you mention the difficulty of testing and pre-assume (wrongly in my opinion) that vertical has little effect.
The second (chase down art) you completely ignore, and brow, vertical makes a lot of difference here.
I think it would be nice to have a part two explaining these two parts that you ignored, where Vertical affects the most.
Even if you can't do tests to add to the video, just so you don't make the same mistake you made in 2k23 in terms of physical attributes.
What about going for putback dunks?
So basically its the same as last year. Thank you sir
I went with a 96 driving dunk and 86 vert on my build and lemme tell you. Vert is definitely helpful.
and a 94 block. 6’9
Vertical gives you more dunks?
It definitely affects rebounding
Can we get a rebound chaser video
So if i have Dreb at 60 for rebound chaser bronze with a 55 vertical would i still be able to grab rebounds ?
Probably painfully obvious but I’m stuck, should I go with an 94 vert or a 95 steal on my popper build
Depends on your style of play
