Thank you for making an actual instructional video with a blank canvas instead of starting with a flawlessly blended background/base layer like some other videos 😅
Wonderful video it brought me to tears when you mentioned your Dad made the desk for you. I'm glad that you have support from your family, he must be very proud of of you😊. Thank you your painting is. Beautiful.
Note- he says Prussian blue at the beginning, but he’s actually using phthalo blue. I wondered why mine looked so dark!! Phthalo blue works very well for water. Prussian blue, not so much. Otherwise, a helpful tutorial!
I'm painting a big nature mural on my wall and have progressed from terrible artist to mediocre artist. Thanks for your help understanding how to paint water!
Thank you for such a clear and understandable demo. It gives me hope that I might achieve painting waves on water. at the same time, I do appreciate the profound skill of your exercise here.
Great technique, and a very nice piece. Because this guy has painted water before, he knows what it looks like without a reference pic. The one thing he didn't stress at all is 'to know your subject.' To paint water, you should look at it in moving and still pictures, to get a sense of the range of shadows and highlights. It'd be hard to just slash paint here and there and have it look like water as an amateur, if you didn't understand it's form first.
You are the best teacher for painting I’ve ever watched. Thank you so very much. I was having such a hard time doing water. Thank you again for posting this.
I love the "only four colors" videos (not from Sudio Wildlife - I forget who this was but the above video reminded me of it) and then they are using the three primary colors and white/black. Sheesh.
Great video, I like your editing! Also I would love to see a more in-depth review of that little airbrush! Been curious about one of those myself.😄 And, the painting is beautiful!👏
Nice 1 bud ..I'd a 1400 Brit bridge painted in the middle of Ireland on the Shannon and was having fierce trouble with the mild flowing river and this ans my questions
You are amazing! I have 2 questions for you🤭 1. Is this acrylic or oil paint? 2. What is the temperature of your studio ? More or less ? Thanks for teaching us !!!
In case you check back, what's trying to be accomplished is clear water with a splash seeing a large rock in the water before it lands.. showing, you can see it as if your looking into the body of water, and splashed on top.. Your talents are amazing. Thank you for sharing. Feb.16,2024
Thanks, this was actually helpfull. However mine painting is barely that good as yours :D , but I got much closer to desired effect of water waves. And I like your accent. Greeting from Czehia.
When you're painting each subsequent color, do you need to follow the strokes of the previous? For example, after the darkest almost black, you said to come in with the next color and "fill in the gaps" (9:10) with "plenty of gaps for the black to come through" (9:27). That made sense. And then after that, looking for similar guidance. How do you know where to paint the subsequent colors? Is it randomly over the other previous colors? Thank you for taking the time to make the video. Excited to keep practicing!
thanks for your helpful instruction! it slowly became absolutley gorgeous! and im dying to know what exactly you used to scrape off the paint from the pallette. Ive never seen anything like that and it looks so eco friendly
I understand the 3 to 4 second change in frame but when it comes to instructional videos, this is dizzying. I really love your paintings but I am dizzy now at 6:03. Sorry. I hope the presentation changes so I can binge watch. Cheers.

I enjoyed your presentation. Easy to follow and nice picture. Love the water. And the wildlife. Thank you for your time.

Horizon line at around 75%?
how did you adhere your pallet and canvas to that tilting desk please?
thanks for your helpful instruction! it slowly became absolutley gorgeous! and im dying to know what exactly you used to scrape off the paint from the pallette. Ive never seen anything like that and it looks so eco friendly
You may be referencing a palette knife. Used to scoop and mix paint
Excellent video and instruction! One question. Did you do anything to the canvas or can you use one from a hobby store without pre-painting it?
Great vlog, love you’re channel, do you think the airbrush would be any good to do a wash over an area or the whole painting ?
Definitely I’ve used that technique for a few of my paintings
I'm trying to understand. Are you using watercolor paint on canvas?
🦁🔥🦁
Would orange of desaturated the blue for U
Which black are you using? Mars Black or Ivory Black or what? 😃
I think it was a Mars black but because of the glazing it doesn’t really matter which black you use 😁
@@StudioWildlife excellent. Thank you. 😁
Where is the link for the battery powered air brush?
Thanks, completely forgot to add it, it's now in the description of the video and here amzn.to/3eG4DPT
