I wasted years of my life pursuing what I thought could fulfill me. I was lost as hell. I was searching for a feeling of purpose, being appreciated, being loved in many different wrong places such as career achievements, clubs, others’ opinions, etc. I worked hard for many years to graduate and have a stable high paying job and acquired most of the materialistic pursuits I’ve ever wanted but that spike of happiness didn’t last until I had enough and started to ask myself many existential questions that truly make this life matters and that’s when I got out of severe depression and actually experience how it is to be fully alive rather that being like a puppet and just let my life pass me by. So many sacrifices are needed to actually attain the authentic life I was scared of facing for so many years so that I can stay in my comfort zone but be miserable. I will be uploading videos that I hope can inspire others as well. It takes time but I will never stop.

Absolutely. Leadership has become a cult of self. It doesn't matter what domain it is; business, politics, or religion. In reality, everyone is on the same level, and mutuality of service is what brings the light.

I wonder sometimes if Simon heard me argue with my mom growing up. " I hear you!" Hearing and listening are absolutely two different things. Living a life of service sounded so possible when I read Inspiration Your Greatest Calling by Dr. Dyer and found the golden circle. Sometimes the only way I Iead is myself to pray. That reframes my entire day.

Simon, is it possible that you are so so perfect a specimen? The person who wins your heart will be undoubtedly one of the happiest people in the world.

Absolutely spot on! I live by this motto lead by example focusing more on the "by example" part. It's impossible to change people. They do change only if they see an example of a betters human beings around them. Once we all understand this and try to become the best versions of ourselves, we will all contribute to having a better live (1.) and inspiring others to live better (2.).

My life is like a generator, seeing people succeed because of our interactions keeps me running. In essence what i do on a daily basis is like my fuel. I love what you're doing and would appreciate any advice on my new RUclips channel. Regards, Osmany

My best advice is to work everyday to get a little better. It's okay to change direction or pivot, just don't quit the pursuit of being an expert or master of your craft. Pace yourself. Don't worry about "arriving" so soon or too late. Find joy in the process. Don't be afraid to experiment or make mistakes. As long as you are learning and able to come back to fight another day, eventually you'll figure it out and win. Hope that helps.

@@BehindtheBrand Thank you for taking the time to respond. I came across you by watching the Seth Godin video in about the best advice you have received. I was moved by your story because i technically am in a similar boat as you were in regards to being adopted. My father was adopted and he never met his biological father. My last name Herrera is from his Adoptive father, i know my "biological" grandfathers name however i don't know anything about our family history. But that doesn't limit who i am or who i will become. Stay blessed, i look forward to the opportunity of working together some day.

I tried to influence orthers people.
I have been humiliated by beeing exposed all my weakness in front of others in a fragile moment for me. Because i didnt want to follow the idea of orther on what i should do on my life.
Now i stopped to care what happend on their life.
I avoid all contact with anyone.
