I have actually seen people say her vocal color is lacking and I seriously think those people are tone deaf. She has like 5 different voices (sometimes utilizing them on a single track) and can sound like her members when she wants to! She is a phenomenal vocalist!

Always switching it up. Her diction and phrasing is amazing. Like how can she sing like that on Butterflies? Then her lower register in Look, Body Talk, and Milkshake and her heavenly vocals on What If Love and Blue Lemonade and sultry vocals on Automatic and Light Me Up, Her jazzy vocals on Be Natural, her swagger on Taste and Time Slip and In & Out, and her powerful vocals and adlibs on Oh Boy, With You, Umpah Umpah, Dumb Dumb, and then there are numerous songs with that amazing high note! She can do all kinds of high notes. I'm still shocked a 3 second soft note from Wendy in Time Slip had me shook more than her 14 second high note in Hit That Drum 🤣🤣🤣 There are way too many songs where her vocals shone the brightest. I kinda pity those who don't know this woman's vocal prowess!
People nowadays love unique vocal. But forgot the vocal color like wendy is so versatile. Honestly i remember taeyeon. They always said she's lack of vocal color but look at her now
One of the most well-rounded idols of this generation though underappreciated. Queen damaged her vocal cords but STILL ended up as Red Velvet’s Main Vocalist. Did not have a background in dancing but still becomes the member that stands out frequently during their live performances for her moves and energy. The best rapper in the group despite not being a rapper or a part of the rap line. Yeah, Wendy deserves to debut solo first among the group, I can’t see anyone else going first rather than her. She deserves what she has more than anybody else.
I’m in tears when watching her sing. She’s finally back, and we know she made tons of efforts to stand in front of us again. I love her voice and her tones. She’s not only good at high notes, but also rhythms which makes her fit R&B perfectly. I really look forward to her solo career. Hopefully she will have more chance to sing live in this TV show and other shows. She deserves them.

The sound mixing to this performance is literally non existent. They only gave Wendy a mic to amplify & record her singing. Other than that, there was no need to enhance the audio. Wendy's voice is that pure, & natural.

I really wish Wendy saw this, many times her members have told her that if she wants something then she should just take it. I remember one of their vlives the members were choosing fruits and Wendy wanted to chose cherries but Joy and Yeri already chose it then Wendy chose something else, then Yeri told Wendy not to live like that😔 Wendy is really selfless and always puts others ahead of herself. The sound mixing to this performance is literally non existent. They only gave Wendy a mic to amplify & record her singing. Other than that, there was no need to enhance the audio. Wendy's voice is that pure, & natural.

I really wish Wendy saw this, many times her members have told her that if she wants something then she should just take it. I remember one of their vlives the members were choosing fruits and Wendy wanted to chose cherries but Joy and Yeri already chose it then Wendy chose something else, then Yeri told Wendy not to live like that😔 Wendy is really selfless and always puts others ahead of herself. Even on this show when she talked about them drawing lots to choose their rooms, she said she let everyone pick and just took whatever was left😕 I really wish Wendy could also become more confident and just do whatever she wants, I know caring for others is a big part of her personality and it’s such a great trait to have, but it’s good to also think about herself first sometimes. I hope she can do everything she wants to do!😩
