This is one of those channels that I hit "Like" before the video even starts. I always love the road trips, I'm the same way as you, always on the lookout for the next cool car spotting. **Cool coffee set up, I remember the days of Burger King coffee on these trips. Nice upgrade. Keep up the great work on both channels.
"Well, I saw a Mustang earlier ...... Mustang, I can't it or leave it". I love seeing unusual cars when out driving. Thanks for taking us along on your road trip.
Good video mate. I've driven to Italy heaps of times and it never fails to please. Drove almost exactly the same trip as you a few weeks ago, but the Mont Blanc tunnel was closed so I had to take the Frejus Tunnel which is 12.5km and you exit at Bardonecchia. Took the A32 autostrada to Torino then A26 to Genova then A12 to Livorno where I stayed at Monterosso Al Mare on the Cinque Terre coastline which is stunning. I've done the A10 to Ventimiglia several times and stayed in a lovely little village, Molini di Triora where I go mountain biking. Always enjoy driving in France as the roads are deserted especially on Sundays when there are no lorries. Same for Italy.
I love a good car spot on my road trips (any drive actually), also brightens up my day too. I’ve even converted my wife in to a car person as well, so she’s also keeping a look out for the exotics.
I have done these trips down to Italy for years and what always wakes me up is to follow or spot a nice car, always looking for something special. The last three years i havent been and i,m really missing the drive so hopefully will do again next year. Enjoy your trip!
I do the same journey going to Tuscany and love the Bip&go! Makes all the tolls so kuch easier! Mont Blanc was closed this September to December so had to do St.Bernard tunnel and the st. Bernard pass on the return. I suggest next time you do the pass as the views are stunning!
Lorry had breaks overheating and ignited the cargo, tunnel filled with black smoke. 39 people died. They've implemented a lot of safety improvements since, like an independent fire evacuation shaft(wasn't there in the first place) and fire station mid way in the tunnel. Enjoyed the video a lot, looking forward to you doing a trip in the gt2! Ps. Speed limits in Italy are just a suggestion 😅
Really enjoyed this. I love using the Shuttle as it’s very quick and easy and some good deals when I book early. It’s funny when I use the toll tags and they see a UK car sailing through the barriers. I’ve driven as far as Germany but hope to go down to Monaco soon.
I drive down to France / Italy (to cycle in the Pyrenees / Alps / Dolomites) at least once a year and can relate to your video. On the last couple of Italian road trips I have, however, reverted back to going up over the mountains rather than through the tunnel options following a couple of unsettling moments underground. For Lake Garda this year I opted for the Simplon Pass and it was stunning albeit it does add some time to the journey but hey ho.
I'm always drawn to a nice car, i remember in 1999 on my way to France on the M6 near knutsford, seeing my first ever Audi TT, i said to my wife , that'll be one of those rich t**** from Alderley Edge😂😂😂👍
I love road trips. I was living in Dublin for few years and when it was time to go back to Athens, I opted to drive. First day I drove to Luton for the night and picked up a good friend who flew in to join the trip. Second day as you done eastbound on the M25 to Folkstone and spend the night in Metz, France. Next day drove through the Reine from Strasburg onto the Autobahn, through Bern to Italy spending the night in Como. Final day boarding the ferry from Ancona to Patras and off home. Memorable times.
In the early 80's, I was on a job near Jackson, Ms. Of course I had a company vehicle, but also my 911S. Found out there was only one other 911 in that city, While driving mine one day the other showed up going the other way. Of course we flashed our lights and waved. One of the local Chevrolet dealers, Blackburn Chevrolet, took on the Porsche line. Their Parts Department knew nothing about Porsche, so whenever I wanted maintenance parts, filters, belts, etc., the just ushered me back into the warehouse so I could pick them out myself!
There are a few supermarket fuel stations just before the Chunnel (and ferry if using that option). I always fill up before crossing as fuel is expensive in France. Hopefully this helps for next time.
I always use Flei-Plus for the Tunnel crossing, turn up any time for your train and get on immediately, Fully refundable, free coffee & snacks, and a lounge. I am sure you will know that though. On the question on cars, yes, if you know you know.
We do pay to use our motorways/roads, it’s called road tax. And only a fraction of what we pay actually goes back into the roads, that’s why they are so appalling.
I love these road trips, the journey the discussion.

I enjoy seeing classic cars when I'm driving. I recently saw a 1940's or 50's Ford pickup with a huge lift kit. That's a vehicle that stands out.

Thoroughly enjoyed that vlog mate 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
I love your channel, and like you I am always car spotting. I love your road trips. Thank you.

Yes, although I could never afford, I do notice and enjoy at least looking at nice cars. 🥰

Wow that's quite the trip!
We did it on a motorbike. On the trip down we road through Croatia Albania to Greece. Return trip was the ferry. Brilliant trip.

Nice trip and great that there were no hiccups
First time heard of a Mrs. eSysman.......
Did exactly this in July in our 911 Carrera 4S
Hey up sysman thanks for the road trip loved it really well done and very entertaining, did you do a video of the 911 trip you mentioned
No unfortunately not. Wasn't really vlogging back then.
You need a pair of 714 Steve McQueen Persols.
Looks like a fun trip, I’m curious what are the speed limits on open roads? Thanks.
If you mean on the autoroutes, it's 130kmh, 110 in heavy rain.
@@paulgarrad1581 thank you it’s about what we have in the US.
better than top gear this. And a Chester boy too.
Not having been to the EU, video is quite entertaining.

Right but it's not the same as the tolls in France, they are super expensive.
Mustangs do nothing for me either. They're just cheaply made, chincy, american rubbish.
