Hey Justin glad to help bud. I do have a question or a few to ask? Was that pinion gear on the 408 a slip pinion or one held on by grub screw? I was explaining a slip on pinion gear application for making the shaft notch match the notch ( flat spot) on the stock pinion gear. I now see your point of drilling out the pinion if it was a diameter issue only? It’s hard to explain without a picture when communicating sometimes on words but looks like you nailed your problem very well. I totally agree I had a 408 while back. I’d been bird dogging them lately but I would go with the stripped down version this round to add my own features. Cross Rc rigs are a beast. Greta breakdown video as always

      Hey man :)!
So the stock pinion is held by a grub screw.
All I did was to grind down the flat spot where the grub screw grabs the shaft and voilà :)!
I made sure to cleanly notch the end of the flat spot so that it won't act as a 'ramp' along which the pinion can travel.

Thanks Ron :). Doing great! Just trying to squeeze in a video here and there as time allows! I can't wait for temperatures to warm up to go out and play :).
How are you? Are you working on the Gladiator?
