Are there not several synthetics o the market that are not vapor deposition > will this tester reveal all those others or just HDPV types ?

I tested that praesidium shows me red means natural diamond

If the tester indicates red, it means your diamond is a Type IIa and will need to be send to a reputable laboratory for further verification. If the light is blue, means its a natural diamond

Hi Casey, the SDS II only works on colorless diamonds. Colored gemstones will not be detected.

Hi, thank you for contacting Presidium. The SDS II can test on polished loose stones and open-back setting mounted rings. Kindly note that it can only test on colourless stones from D to J with a minimum carat size of 0.02 carats

Hi, thank you for contacting Presidium. The SDS II is meant for colorless diamonds only and users will need to ensure that it is a known diamond first before testing with the SDS II. For F1 moissanite, i recommend the SAM by Presidium.

The SDS II can help screen out Type IIa colorless diamond, which is likely to be laboratory-grown and created through chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high pressure high temperature (HPHT) syntheses, from the natural Type Ia colorless diamond.
