Klasse Video - trifft den Punkt. Ich habe sie jetzt ca. ein Jahr und bin immer noch wie frisch verliebt. Sie macht einfach Spaß und sorgt überall für fröhliche Gesichter - auf dem Bike und rundherum :-) Die angesprochenen Verarbeitungsprobleme (Klappern, lose Verkleidung...) hatte ich bisher nicht zu beklagen - und was den Preis angeht... ja, nicht billig. Aber den Spaß den sie bereitet kann man (fast) nicht in Geld aufwiegen.

It seems like you really enjoy small capacity bikes. For everyday fun I dont think they can be beaten, especially around town. Why not test a few more small bikes, i would love to see it!

Super geiler Bericht aus einer der geilsten Städte des Planeten 👍. Hab jetzt auch die Monkey in Gelb als Zweitmotorrad neben meiner Honda Goldwing 2018 DCT/Airbag. Praktisch als extremer Kontrast und ich muß sagen, mehr Spaß macht es mir, das kleine Ding um die Kurven zu schmeißen 😎. Hab Deinen Kanal gleich aboniert. Grüße vom Bodensee

Ist aber nach wie vor immer noch nicht leicht eine zu ergattern. Mein Honda Dealer hätte für dieses Jahr eigentlich 20 Stück geordert....er bekommt aber grad mal ganze 4 Stück 😳
Freu mich schon auf die erste Fahrt auf dem Affen. Schöne Grüße aus der Oberpfalz in die leiwandste Stadt überhaupt.

die inder sind halt auch echt ein motorradbegeistertes volk. also im sinne von: wenn man da nicht mit 10 motorrad fahren kann, wird man in der schule ausgelacht^^
I didn't know this video had english subtitles so thank you for that. If this Monkey was priced at 3000 euros I would buy it but 4100 is a lot. I had a MSX 125 which is fun to ride for a while and then it got boring. I'm considering a Skyteam dax that you mentionned briefly. These things seems fun, dangerous, and cheap. Everything I like about motorcycles. Or I might buy a used MSX again, we will see.

I didn't know either till i read your comment near the end of the video, so thanks for that, by the way you mention skyteam Dax, I don't know if you kept in the loop, but Honda just released a new 125 Dax, it a four speed like the older monkeys but has a centrifugal clutch like the old c-90s ...two seater so as practical as grom.. but only problem, with flat battery cannot bump start and there no kickstart lever..
I left you reply below,.. also new Dax has retro parts taken from monkey so they go well together..
@@CrustyBiker I do know about the new Dax and unfortunately it's even more expensive at 4250 while SkyTeam are going for 1600 euros. I almost bought the latter last year but I recently moved and do not have enough space anymore so all of these are off the table anyway.
Also ich fahre eine Yzfr 125 2019 und bin sehr zufrieden optisch,sound und Fahrweise!

TwistYourWrist Die wird wahrscheinlich gleich viel Spaß machen, wenns einem nicht so wichtig ist, eine Monkey zu fahren. RoyalJordanian fahrt ja auch eine Grom in London, das wird auch schon seinen Grund haben
*Die MSX hat Soziusfußrasten. Also kann man einfacher mal jemanden kurz mitnehmen

Monkey is just an easy, non pretentious fun bike to ride. Youre not stressed about, being the fastest, more powerful thing on the road.

Fun does not mean safe. Small bikes like this can get you killed or injured by not being visible on the road. Maybe they are slow enough you can save yourself from other drivers.
More importantly small 12" wheels and short-travel suspension can launch you off bike from large potholes or road debris. I once rode through 3 inch deep huge pothole onboard my Vstrom 650 cruising the freeway at 65 mph riding 2--up because traffic ahead obstructed my view. I lifted my butt quickly off the seat to absorb the impact and aimed for center because it was too large and risky to steer around in the less than a second I had to react.. It was fortunately uneventful due to my actions and with 19" front wheel but with 12" front wheel and short travel suspension motorcycle it would've been a disaster. The force of impact of such obstructions is inversely proportional to wheel diameter. Not to mention quality of suspension and travel to absorb them is similarly inversely proportional. Neither of which are favorable on cheap mini-bike like Monkey or Grom.
I'm seated lower on almost all cruisers and yet those weigh 400kg and more.
@@Schaaf Seat height has no impact on ability of motorcycle tire to absorb step changes in roadway profile height. Wheel size when transitioning a vertical change in roadway height affects the vertical acceleration rate proportional to wheel radius. Thus, a small diameter pothole may be crossed with a large diameter tire that would never reach the bottom of the depression. Similarly, at a given speed a smaller diameter wheel is rotating at higher angular velocity and the horizontal distance travelled once contacting far end of depression and climbing out is much shorter than larger diameter tire. This implies higher vertical acceleration and shock to suspension. It is basic physics.
With the new Monkeys you will not have a lower visibilty on the road. The Monkey isn't so small like the old Monkeys.

@@scandimc I don't think it's a smart decision. Most things which feel good are not smart. Riding in shirt and short in 35 degrees Celsius feels incredibly good.
If I feel like it I rip along the Autobahn at 200km/h in summer only with a T-Shirt and it feels awesome.
