Hey Mike and Melissa, what a crazy day you had ! Too bad about the camera and the phone, thank God nobody was hurt! May the camera be found along the grounds and unharmed SOON. Hopefully a new case for the iPhone will take care of that. Did the seasonings on the pulled pork spice up your conversations on the phone very much 🤔😉. I know you’ll be taking pictures of Eva and another 1st for her, and I also know you will enjoy looking back years from now and sharing with your grandchildren. Eva, you’ll have your chances to do the same years and years from now too. Enjoy the homecoming andMike and Melissa enjoy the Paul Bunyan Show/Festival, be safe. Thanks for sharing with us.
Mike, I feel your pain. I have a ten acres pond in my woods and I built a pavilion next to it. After cutting back the limbs on the trail to the pond and pavilion I sat down to enjoy the sunset. Once I got back to the house I realized I had forgotten tools I used cutting the limbs but I was late for a gathering of friends. It was late so I told myself I'll get them in the morning. Four days later I realized what I had done and went to get my tools. Not there, someone had come onto my property and found them and decided they needed them more than I did. Keep up the great work and God bless you and your family.
Just a little “food” for thought ;-). Research has shown that deer, given nearly any other option, will eat those other options long before rye grass. Sure, deer will show up in the plot, but they are either starved or finding other plants in there to browse on. Increase the attractiveness of your plots with some Buck forage oats or winter wheat. Rye grass is sold in deer blends for the exact reason you stated; they green up quickly. Maybe plant another plot for comparison. I helped with a research plot as an undergrad, and the difference was amazing. Good luck this deer season, and thanks for the videos!
Scott you got that right! I used to plant that crap back years ago and then I did a little research and found the same to be true. I no longer plant rye grass ever, it is crap for deer. I only plant oats and wheat and the deer eat it like crazy. It is amazing the difference. Also, this past spring for the first time I planted durana clover and man did the deer ever eat it up. I have videos of them gulping it down! I have never seen anything like it before. So I fully agree with your comment. The reason seed blends use rye is because it's a cheap "filler" that greens up quickly.
The worst part of rye grass is trying to get rid of it. It is tough to kill and will smother out subsequent seedings of better deer feed. Winter rye is better than rye grass.
Hey Mike, sorry to hear about that. It happens to us all. We all have those days and they seem to all happen in the same day. If that's the worst thing that happens to you this year I'd say you're very blessed! Have a great one ya'll.
After losing many tools in fields, I’ve started painting anything that rides in the tractor a bright neon color. Painted case or handle wrapped with bright electric tape might be enough to help find dropped items
Looking good folks, as a farmer I also enjoy the smell of tilled soil most of things mentioned, how about popcorn, freshly cut alfalfa, diesel burning in the morning of course wood smoke. Sorry for your loss Mike can't think of a nicer place to loose
Mike you have a great place there and I have to admit that I am jealous. The weather you have been having is great. I am in north Alabama and summer still has us in a tight grip. For this last weekend of September we are in the mid 90s with a heat index of 100-105. Love your videos.
Hey guys! My wife and I just spent the day together, and it was wonderful!!!🥰. 25 years later, and she is still my favorite date!!!! Best to you both!!
Melissa, every time you folks dig in the soil at your home I wish I had your earth. Here in Rockland County, NY one cannot put a shovel in the ground without hitting a hubbla that's about 12" or more in diameter! Gardening is a challenge as is digging post holes or anything else one would do to build stuff. Oh Mike I'd like to put in an order for a bushel of cameras when you harvest I think I've got a good market for farm fresh cameras....;) Great video guys keep up the good work, you are so good together!
I see that every time I drive through that area. I lived in Westchester which wasn't much better. Now I live upstate and have awesome soil, but still the occasional rock to throw in the pile.
On the bright side Mike, you've been doing this channel for a few years now, and have had a really good run with equipment, and now you got a good reason to go get the latest, upgraded version of it.😉👍
You need to cultipack that seed for best results!!! If you don’t have a cultipacker, then just lightly disc it to cover it and you will notice huge difference in Quality & Production of your rue grass.
Interesting to see you smell and appreciate your soil. Every time I watch your videos and see that beautiful soil and gentle rolling hills, it makes me a bit envious as I compare it to the thin rocky soil in so many other parts of the world, such as much of east, central, and northern Ontario (I’m in eastern Ontario) where the glaciation scraped most of the soil down to rock to create “the Canadian Shield”. While the Shield has its merits - particularly the rocky rugged beauty and countless lakes - rich thick soil is definitely not one if it’s features!
We live about 2.5 hours east of you. Strange how this summer played out. Up until April we had rain every 3 days or so. Since then maybe 3 or 4 showers. Grass is too dry to mow without fear of turning brown. Love the Videos.
SORRY about the camera but on the other side if by luck and you recover it you should get some awesome footage of tilling the soil and watching a great wife seeding the plot. Now who could ask for more than that, l really enjoy y'alls videos.Thank You Jake.
Mike: Idea.. If you have an expensive piece of 'gear,' attach a strap to item, then, place a steel disk thru the item's strap (hole in steel disk). Then, get a powerful magnet. Attach magnet to ferrous metal spot on vehicle. Attach disk to magnet. Save money by not losing expensive gear.. hope your unit turns up....I HATE TO LOSE STUFF....I feel for you, tryin' so hard to make great videos....it is not easy!!!! Never give in!!!!!!!
Sorry about your camera. Speaking of cameras, can you do another camera review showing what you've used, what works best and why, and what's best bang for the buck in your experience? The plot looks great. I enjoyed the video.
Dang, I would love to go to the Paul Bunyan meet-up, but I live in North Texas and can't get there. I grew up in Northeastern Indiana, so I'm a bit familiar with the terrain/weather in Western Ohio. Love your videos!
Your blessed to have all that stone free soil to make a food plot that easily! I’m in eastern Ontario and I’d be better off to buy a crusher and make gravel there’s so much rock at my place. Keep up the good work!
Mike & Melissa, It's those "LITTLE THINGS" in life that time take matters MOST in life, cherish them while you can. (Coming from a divorced 55 y/o diabetic.)
Best smell in the world is walking thru a wood mill, followed closely by my wife's hair. Hoped daughter Eva enjoyed homecoming. I kept a finger print kit when I retired from the job. With Eva dating, if you ever need it let me know.
I grew up in Ca. lived no more than twentyfive miles from my home place. Traveled the world for work for many years. Two marriages and divorces and I ended up right where I started. I love the smell of fresh disced fields.
Mike , You may have lost your camera ,, But you still have your Beautiful helper ,,, Keep up the great work ,,, I love your videos ,,, Tell Hunter Hi for me .....
Grew up in Beaver County, I've lived in Shade Gap, PA, the upstate of South Carolina, OBX, and New Jersey and NOTHING smells as good as the dirt in Western PA..although living 2 blocks from the Atlantic Ocean can smell so great. I even missed the 17 year locusts.
No pictures from inside the pulled pork? ;D Good thing Melissa didn't mention the smell of a chlorinated pool on her list of favorites! Time for an RK seed planter! Will you still be able to afford food this week after paying for all the homecoming dance stuff? :D
Mike; It would not hurt to find a 4-6"" tree and cut a length about 10' long. Attach a strap or chain out by ends and attach the center to the drawbar of your tractor and drag it over the seeded ground. It will work the seeds into the ground just a bit so you have soil-seed contact and the birds won't carry all the seed away. The drag will also smoothen and firm the soil .Just an old farmers trick. ---------------Loren
I'm sorry about your camera Mike and about your phone Melissa. You could always say a little prayer to find it... Maybe it will turn up. I will say a prayer.
Mike, I was just going to make a comment at the 7:56 mark when you said YOU planted some Rye grass, however Melissa straightened the story out at the 8:00 mark. She has your number LOL
I had a farmer friend that lost his dentures while tilling. The only thing I could think of to console him was that I would take him down to the funeral home to get another set. LOL
I would look for the camera near were you were using the hooks because their going up and down could have given the camera enough momentum to bounce out of the cup holder on the tractor.
#MikeMorgan I was going to suggest just this. You could go as far as using a cheap pto pump and hose on it with 2 totes plumbed to together as waterer/burn pile safety/firework safety equipment.
i learned my lesson the hard way about putting things in the cup holder. its for cups or bottles only. i've lost many tools that i put in that cup holder. And most, i've never found.
You planted your camera so you should have a whole field of new ones. Right. Lol
GREAT JOB Mike and Melissa Getten Er Done Today!!👍👌

Good job on the food plot. Done it in fine fashion. Enjoyed the video. 👍👍👍❤️
Good morning Folks. Melissa said something great. They had the opportunity to spend the the day together.
Like how Melissa exits the video by walking downstairs . What a Girl ! Sorry about the loss of Osmo, may he rest in peace.
Good Sunday morning, Morgans. There's nothing nicer than back east woods/trees. And yeah, organic smells...😁😁😁

Love seeing Melissa without makeup. True beauty doesn't need it!

Great job mike! Love my food plots!
Great tune, like seeing your tractor videos.
Yep enjoy your music and videos!
It's fun watching your videos with great music! Thank you
Hey Mike, sorry to hear about that. It happens to us all. We all have those days and they seem to all happen in the same day. If that's the worst thing that happens to you this year I'd say you're very blessed! Have a great one ya'll.
Hey guys!! Love the videos. Look's like my hideout in south western Pa. Big Cove Tannery. hopefully you got some of this rain finally.
After losing many tools in fields, I’ve started painting anything that rides in the tractor a bright neon color. Painted case or handle wrapped with bright electric tape might be enough to help find dropped items
I just started buying the cheapist equipment possible figuring i would loose it before it brakes. Five dollar pruning shears proved me wrong.
Looking good folks,
as a farmer I also enjoy the smell of tilled soil most of things mentioned, how about popcorn,
freshly cut alfalfa, diesel burning in the morning of course wood smoke. Sorry for your loss Mike can't think of a nicer place to loose
Good morning from north dakota, 42 degrees here this morning. Perfect food plot. Everything turns into a project, if it can go wrong it will.
Found your channel a few months back and love it! I look forward to watching your videos everyday. Lots of fun, and informative. Thanks!
You two are so down to earth. Great folks!
I’m replacing 1/2 the tines on my JD 665 soon and then I have about 3/4 AC to till. Love seeing the wildlife. We have turkeys here in Sacramento, CA

I agree about the smell of dirt. It is a shame everyone does not have that opportunity .
I love the smell of campfires, coffee in the morning, Smores, and fresh cinnamon buns.....among other great things
Right on with the burning leaves smell !! Totally awesome!!

I guess Rockland and Westchester are in the glacial drop zone, which is why we have so many rocks.
Looks great nice tiller . Sorry about the camera. And woohoo at 100000.coming fast . You channel/family deserves it and much more. Craig 😀
On the bright side Mike, you've been doing this channel for a few years now, and have had a really good run with equipment, and now you got a good reason to go get the latest, upgraded version of it.😉👍

Melissa is a true trooper
Hi Mike, although some things didn’t go to plan today, as bad as the were things will go well no to the same degree, balance in all things I say
Love the BACKGROUND music
There is nothing that smells better than freshly plowed ground!!
Hope to see you guys there! Planning on going Friday late all day Saturday!
terrific choice of music for this episode mike
Hang in there, both of you. Yes maybe a rough day, but at bedtime count your blessing instead of sheep. God bless your family. ❤
So excited that you are getting close to 100k
Orange crime twizzlers, Melissa? Nice food plot, If you let Rye grow til it's ready to harvest it can be nine feet tall,
Great video thanks stay safe.
Mike, sorry for the loss of your camera. I've done the same thing with a Snap-on ratchet, not a good thing!
It'll be like Christmas when it shows up! Lol
Thanks for sharing 👍
You sure knocked out that food plot! What a team!
New mown hey in the morning and after a summer storm
Love your videos guys. Keep up the great work.
Mike sorry you had a bad day buddy. Glad you pushed through it. God bless

Great job. Try and adjust the shoulder strap. Did you like the tractor and attachments? Nice soil. Now let’s see the deer results. 👍🏻

There is the one thing I wish we had here in Texas that is a lot of your trees.
Sorry about the rough day especially the camera. Just keep chugging away be sweeter to Melissa. You are a champ
I hope the grasses and weeds stay at bay. You might need to frost seed it with clover. That’ll help keep the weeds in check.
Dang, I would love to go to the Paul Bunyan meet-up, but I live in North Texas and can't get there. I grew up in Northeastern Indiana, so I'm a bit familiar with the terrain/weather in Western Ohio. Love your videos!
That tiller works nice

Sorry to hear about your favorite camera. I’m definitely liking the more bluesy music lately though!
western North Carolina, good red dirt everywhere
Best smell in the world is walking thru a wood mill, followed closely by my wife's hair. Hoped daughter Eva enjoyed homecoming. I kept a finger print kit when I retired from the job. With Eva dating, if you ever need it let me know.
Sorry about your camera Mike. Great video. You two work so well together it's nice two see.
Nice looking ground, in all respects your a Bambi rancher, you take good care of him.
I grew up in Ca. lived no more than twentyfive miles from my home place. Traveled the world for work for many years. Two marriages and divorces and I ended up right where I started. I love the smell of fresh disced fields.
Hey Mike they have invented VELCRO ONE LITTLE STRIP ON THE CAMERA AND ONE THE TRACTOR WORKS WONDERS.
Alright Eva your bringing the old folks to their knees. Post a picture of that young man so I can grade him for you.
So you are now planting cameras. How long before they are ready to pick?
Mike , You may have lost your camera ,, But you still have your Beautiful helper ,,, Keep up the great work ,,, I love your videos ,,, Tell Hunter Hi for me .....

I agree I love the smell of fresh turned top soil.
BACON, you forgot the smell of bacon cooking, I gain weight just smelling it. 🥓🥓
No worries Mike, I lost a go pro exactly the same way! Wife found it over a year later, still works :)
KEEP THE BILLY RAY COMING IT'S THE BEST YOU PLAY MIKE

One of Mikes attachments he has on loan from Rural King, is a culti packer. He did a video on it prolly last year. Don't know the video number tho.

Mike those rough days will be erased when you bag that monster buck this season
The stairs are back!
Solid handclap, Nice shirt
I'm sorry about your camera Mike and about your phone Melissa. You could always say a little prayer to find it... Maybe it will turn up. I will say a prayer.
Another great video. Sorry about the camera Mike. H Hunter and greetings from North Wales 🏴
Love it!!!!
Glad I ran across your channel. I like to watch you split fire wood with the 6 way. God bless from Alabama.
Mike, I was just going to make a comment at the 7:56 mark when you said YOU planted some Rye grass, however Melissa straightened the story out at the 8:00 mark. She has your number LOL

hi there dogs feet smell like pop corn to me i guess i am crazy but brownies do smell better
Good morning 😎
I would look for the camera near were you were using the hooks because their going up and down could have given the camera enough momentum to bounce out of the cup holder on the tractor.
Throw one or two of the IBC totes, even without the cage, on a trailer, and you can water the field in about an hour.
Smells: Cut grass, fresh hay, fresh cut lumber, wood-stoves burning. PS cool video good luck with your plot looking good.
Been with u guys from the start going to try and c u guys at Cambridge if nothing come up
