My big brother Bob, anchoring the news on the chilly evening of January 16th, 1977, at WPVI, Philadelphia. By the fall he would be living in sunny Florida, with his sloop docked behind his house and anchoring the news at WFLA, Ch. 8, Tampa! Though retired now, he is still producing wonderful stories and still has as boat docked behind his house.
Odd! I have no memory of Bob Hite. I’m 57 and I remember Larry Kane & Jim Gardner anchoring. Of course, I know Steve Levy. Maybe, he was the weekend anchor before Rob Jennings’s?!

Ironically Cynthia, it was around this time in January 1977 that it snowed in Tampa! Enjoyed him on Tampa TV for many years, great newscaster!

0:07, the start of a long tradition, the tradition of having a montage as a huge part of channel 6's identity...
My only memories of Steve Levy was from Channel 10 (when it was still a CBS station before "The Switch" in 1995 that made it a NBC station).
Based on the Gilmore story, and the Flyers-North Stars result, the date of this is January 16, 1977.
Yup. I set sail for the job in Tampa that June
