      Assalamu Alaikoom.
      In "sana" dua there is a تَ attached with two words.
      The 1st word is (تَبَارَكَ = تَ + بَارَكَ)
      The 2nd word is (تَعَالَى = تَ + عَالَى)
      In previous comment you told me tha بركة = Blessing (Noun)
      and بَارَكَ = Blessed (Past form)
      Now my question is that, what is the meaning of "عَالَى" and why there is a تَ connected with these 2 words- (عَالَى and بَارَكَ)
      I also want to know that, why there is a ى connected with the word "عَالَ"?

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  3 года назад +9

      Alhamdulilah.
      The reason why there are 10, is that these are the only possible formations of verbs, that's their limit. There isn't any more ways in which you will see verbs in Arabic other than these 10.

    The middle Vocal of the Verb (e.g. the ت by كتب) can have a Fetha, Dammah or Kesra by conjugate it into the Present tense (e.g. هو يَكْتُبُ).
    And another word like نَصَرَ is conkugated in Present tense like هو يَنْصُرُ. So what is the Trick behind? How can I know which vocal the middle Letter will have by conjugation?

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  2 года назад +2

      Place in Arabic means اسم المكان which turns the verb into a noun indicating where the verb happens. Example: كتب becomes مكتب which is a place where things get written, or "an office" to be more precise.
      Time means اسم الزمان which turns the verb into a noun indicating a time when the verb happens. Example: وعد means to promise, and it becomes موعد which is a time to do something promised, or "an appointment" to be more precise.
      Hope this helps.

    3:37 why is the root of كَتَبَ the present form of يَكْتُبُ when the root of فَعَلَ present form is يَفْعَلُ? When all the fa kalima, ain kalima, and laam kalima have fat’ha. Why does the ain kalima have a dhamma for (kataba) whereas the ain kalima for (fa Aa la) has fat’ha

      The three letter verbs are the most 'irregular' verbs among all the other forms. That's why we have bundled them together to be learned together by heart

      Thanks for the quick reply. I have memorised most the main patterns from your chart but I find it difficult do understand the meaning and how to utilise it. If you gave me a new word and the root meaning, I am able to find its pattern but I’m not able to understand the meanings of the altered measure (passive of 1, reflexive, etc etc). Could you direct me to a chart or video or place which explains in detail how the measure changes the meaning of a root so I can derive my own meanings

    Jazak Allahu khairan for the amazing work. Your videos are very thorough and make everything really simple and easy to understand. May Allah accept from you.
    For the TEN MEASURES chart, shouldn't the passive participle (مفعول) for Family II be مُفَعَّل instead of مفْعَّل ?
    I hope you will be uploading more grammar content soon in sha Allah.

    • @lamb8520
      @lamb8520 3 года назад +2

      The taa is added for words as a prefix. All I know

    • @lamb8520
      @lamb8520 3 года назад +3

      The root is ع ل ي. So the pattern is to add an alif after first letter.
      So ب ر ك
      ب ا ر ك
      The alif is added after baa in this case. So it's baarak, and the taa is added before it.
      In this case,
      ع ا ل ى
      The yaa is interchangeable with the waaw and alif. So the alif sound comes.
      Hope it's clear. I'm also not that good at Arabic yet

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  2 года назад +2

      It means you turn a root to a 'place' or 'time' related in meaning to the root.
      so كتب means 'to write' مكتب is an office (a place where things are written)
      And وعد means 'to promise' and موعد is (an appointment > a time when we agreed to meet) .. and so on.
      Hope it's clear now.
