I have often wondered if there was some kind of connection between Luxord, Sigurd and by proxy Luxu. In this podcast clip with ‪@andybru‬ we discuss the possibility of them being connected, the two being one, and the root meaning of Sigurds name.

Sigurd is a big mystery that seemingly came out of nowehere. With the parallels between Luxu and Luxord we have to wonder if both Sigurd and Luxord are connected in some way

2:22 Remember when Yen Sid told us in Melody of Memory that when he was still serving as a Keyblade Master, it was known that the ancient masters had crossed into another world. Perhaps he refers to the masters of the Missing Link era and Luxord was one of them

I really love this theory talk, Kingdom Hearts and the mysterious nature of it with the secretive characters has so much potential. Crazy to think already what the new saga holds in store for us.

Awesome Video :) Makes My Mind Explodes With This Theory :) Thinking That Luxord Could Be Sigurd And Is Like Luxu With Multi Appearances And We Don’t Know His Real Name And Why He Came To Organization 13 In The First Place :) Can’t Wait To See What Happens In KH: Missing Link I’m Thinking Luxord Will Be A Part Of The Missing Link (Or Something Important Happened With The Player Character And Is Still In The Present Time (Don’t Know For Sure) But Very Excited :) Your Videos Makes Me So Hype And I Always Think Out Of The Box :)

Speaking of the box containing “hope.” I wonder apprentice Xehanorts whole “this is more than just an experiment, it’s hope.” Has anything to do with this. The box also seems to be a reference to Pandora’s box which also contained hope at the very end after releasing all the evils.

Yozora is likely Brain and Luxord is Sigurd or a missing link officer. This makes a lot of sense. Maybe during missing link they find a way to unreality. This was so great, thanks for this you guys

FIRST!!!! This Sage of The Lodge is just so depressed with the lack of no Missing Link nor IV News. Each Event I get my hopes up too much there'll be something. The last time we had Square-Enix... and for a second I thought KH?! and it was a Splatoon-esque Foamstars game. Don't get me wrong, theories are fun to do, but after so many, we'reready for something concrete, real, some lore confirmed. I'm ready for the European Beta Test... whenever that will come. Kicked out ALL my other games just to get FINAL FANTASY XVI on my PS5.

@@JanvanEsum I’m Gknight21 on Archive of our own. Um the last KH story I did is called Kingdom Hearts A Oath to Return. The story before this covers stuff from the additional stuff from Remind, the secret ending+ episode and melody of memory as I caused it to happen again and included a small reference to the KH4 trailer in the oath story but because we don’t have much information and I’ve already covered a reaper’s game scenario with both Sora and Riku (I had too much fun having the version of Neku and co from their actual game appear not to be confused with the version in 3D)…. Also um I only partially regret calling one of my stories KH4 before the game itself got announced 😅

6:18 the other name that would be Luxord's in ML associated with Ludor's translation, is Player, "one who plays".

While I think that it’s definitely possible that Luxu and Sigurd could be one in the same, I don’t think that the face being covered is a reason why. Nomura has a history of covering character’s faces when they’re first revealed regardless of whether that face revealed is someone we recognize or not. For example, when we first see DiZ, his face is covered until the climax of KH2 because we spent the whole game learning about the mystery behind the real Ansem, thinking he’s dead until it’s time to reveal to the audience that he’s actually still alive and has been setting his plan against organization 13 in motion. And this reveal makes sense in the story because Ansem would want to keep his identity a secret from Mickey and his apprentices. However on the flip side, we have characters whose faces do not need to be concealed for any sort of reveal. They’re concealed just for dramatic flair when they eventually get a face reveal. Most of the organization would fall under this umbrella (Xemnas being the only exception since he looks like Ansem SoD). Now, Luxu honestly had no reason to have his face concealed in Ux. We know he jumped from body to body so his face would be different in Ux than it is now. He’s in a completely different body. Just like how Bragi and Xigbar have no physical resemblance to one another, neither would his original appearance to either of them. That’s all to say that if Sigurd and Luxord are one and the same, Sigurd’s appearance being concealed is irrelevant. He lives in a time period before Xehanort’s birth (or perhaps around the time of his birth), so Sigurd would need to switch bodies in order to be Luxord in which case he wouldn’t appear the same as he did when he was Sigurd. However, there is one way in which Sigurd and Luxord being the same would require Sigurd’s appearance to be concealed for the timebeing.
That being said, I do definitely believe that Luxord and Demyx will both appear in Missing Link since they are part of that Keyblade Legacy. Luxord will likely commit some sort of nature taboo and be sent to Quadratum and eventually find a way back to Sora’s reality only to find that he’s been gone a VERY long time. Knowing that Sora is going down a similar path as him, he gives him a wild card that may help him in getting back to their reality. In the case that Luxord and Sigurd are the same (just with a new name to conceal his identity), then Sigurd would need to keep his face covered to avoid detection from someone who may recognize him. The problem with this speculation is that the only person that COULD recognize him would need to be from the days of ML, which would only be Luxu if they cross paths in which case Luxu would know who Luxord is already. Idk honestly, this whole thing is a mess. Nothing really seems to make 100% sense so we’ll just have to wait and see in KH4 or ML or both.

My take will remain that he is connected to Dilan. There’s no point in throwing away Dilan and Aeleus as characters, and I successfully predicted the introduction of Vidar based on Lexeaus’s title and Org number (5 = V). Sigurd as a Norse dragon slayer says it all. I just think in a game that puts heavy emphasis on trios and Sora and Ventus having that elemental Wind association, that Xaldin, the Dragoon, the Whirlwind Lancer, Org’s No. 3, should have some kind of relevance going forward. But that’s just me.

    • @thegummiphone

@@aleeixTW Lexaeus is “The Silent Hero” as his Org. XIII title. Back when I came up with this theory I wondered if there was such a thing according to Norse myth- and there is, Vidar the “Silent Hero” who ended Ragnarok. Before Vidar was introduced as a character I was able to figure out he would show up, based on Aeleus.
I also realized that the FFXIV Ala Mhigan storyline uses this character who looks suspiciously like Aeleus. He is the NPC for the Monk quests, and his name is Widargelt (Vidar-gelt). Ala Mhigo shares alot of interesting overlap with Radiant Garden as well as Beauty and the Beast, and especially the Dungeon under the lake is called “The drowned city of Skalla”.
Vala, Vali, and Vidar also appear like Samurai, Ninja, and Monk respectively- commonly grouped together in Final Fantasy. They all have V named, and V (Roman numeral 5) is Lexaeus’s number in the organization.
Overall, I see Vidar as a pre-incarnation of Aeleus, and likewise I see Sigurd as a pre-incarnation of Dilan.

I don't think you're right in saying that Luxu is being literal when he asks Luxord who he is. I think that Luxu was asking Luxord rhetorically. He knows that as a nobody, Luxord has no memories of his life before he became a nobody. It's obvious from Nomura's secrecy as well as the already revealed identities of the other organisation 13 members that Luxord's recompleted self will be someone of importance. When Luxu says "The question is who are you Luxord?" I believe him to be taunting Luxord. As if to say, 'instead of wondering who i am, you should be wondering who you are. Because you'd be shocked if you remembered who you really are'. I also highly doubt that Xemnas would have information on Luxord's true identity but Luxu wouldn't which only makes me think this is the case even more.
