t's crazy how many great songs they've made. I don't even care about how they compare to others when I listen to Boris, to me they're just in their own dimension
Ok, i made some research and it seems these are the lyrics: 裁かれた黙る土 >The convicted ground which nothing says. 重き雲のすきまから(差しこむ光) >(sunshine streamed) from the crevice between heavy clouds. (差しこむ光)つつみこむ >and is surrounded in light. 広大な水の広がりを虹がわたり >A rainbow passes through the vast spreading water, その彼方から新しい空を始める >and a new sky grows far away.
this band is slowly becoming one of my favorites. this album needs to be on streaming services. can’t wait for their show with the melvin’s later this year.
Just wrote up another translation. Streaming in between the heavy clouds Flowing and sinking without end Pouring into the rising and falling edge of the tide The overflowing light envelops it A rainbow crosses the vast waters In the distance, a new sky is born Funny thing is that 汀 (migiwa) and 渚 (nagisa) mean the same thing (the edge of the water) but are different words
This track has a very melancholic quality to it. It's like something you would hear as you survey the ruined landscape of a _flooded_, post-apocalyptic world.
The judged quiet earth From a crack in the heavy clouds The light shines and wraps around As it simply continues to flow And pours into the curved seashore Overflowing light Wraps around A rainbow spans the vast water Beyond that, a new sky commences
@@besvimelsee ended up doing this, flood is still my favourite by a mile but a lot of their other music is cool too. i liked feedbacker, pink and some of their more recent works quite a bit.

I was wondering this myself. After a few hours of squinting at what I thought might be lyrics on the packaging, copying and pasting from various Wikipedia pages and websites about kanji (I don't know any Japanese), and generally trying to figure out exactly what I was looking at... Those are definitely the lyrics. They don't translate so well online, but phonetically, everything matches up.
I dont know if they have released the lyrics for this. They are probably in japanese anyway. Ill check the booklet of my copy of the cd and see if theres anything there.
OK this is a real mad request and i don't expect anyone will know what I'm referring to here but I think maybe a little under a year ago I found in similar entries to this video an Italian rock band that had lifted the entire melody of the climax of this song and made a completely separate song out of it. I couldn't believe the balls of it! Does anyone know which song I'm referring to? I'm trying to click through similar videos and i'm having no luck finding it. The algorithm must have buried it by now. Such a weird novelty to stumble on, I wonder if anyone else saw it?
I don't know what happened to your other reply, but you're absolutely right. I never would have caught the difference between ri and i since they look and sound so similar. But I totally see it now. I know very little about Japanese and knew even less when I transcribed this. It was mostly guesswork and luck-I definitely didn't realize that り had two strokes in some fonts. So, the million dollar question, then: can you offer a better English translation than Google Translate? Thanks!
Aaaand RUclips killed all my line breaks. The only other thing worth noting is that even though the printed lyrics definitely say "うねいと弓ないの汀にそそぎ", the lyrics that are actually sung seem to be "うねいと弓ないの渚にそそぎ". That's a difference of one kanji: 渚 instead of 汀. I don't know if this could be a typo or what; I only found this out through lots of trial and error and looking at Google Translate's phonetic romanization of stuff. With any luck, now someone who actually knows Japanese can translate it.
Could you please take a photo of the lyrics and put up a link to them please? I study Japanese, and understand the lyrics, except for 「うねいと弓ない」 of the sentence 「うねいと弓ないの汀にそそぎ」
Does anyone know what the lyrics are in this tune? They're not overly noticeable but they are there! I want to know at least what they are in Japanese.
Very possibly the greatest song ever made
No doubt.
Flood is the greatest symphony ever brought upon human ears
boris has made multiple best songs ever made
this album keeps me alive. sadly it’s not even on Spotify or Apple Music. cheers from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
One of the best buildups I've ever experienced in a song. God damn.
I totally agree! Best song ever
you gotta listen to kuruimizu or maybe just the whole album front to back
t's crazy how many great songs they've made. I don't even care about how they compare to others when I listen to Boris, to me they're just in their own dimension
This is not a headphones song, this needs to be heard through big loud amps that allow for the music to completely crush your soul
I unfortunately usually don’t have anywhere to listen to it besides my headphones.
Honestly, I kinda want my band to cover this just to hear it the way it was meant to be heard.
Ok, i made some research and it seems these are the lyrics:
裁かれた黙る土
>The convicted ground which nothing says.
>(sunshine streamed) from the crevice between heavy clouds.

>and is surrounded in light.
>A rainbow passes through the vast spreading water,
>and a new sky grows far away.
When the vocals come in this song while listening to the album quite possibly peak music
this band is slowly becoming one of my favorites. this album needs to be on streaming services. can’t wait for their show with the melvin’s later this year.
just saw them. what a fucking experience. ive seen them a total of 3 times now and its just getting better and better
Just wrote up another translation.
The convicted soil lies silent
Embraced by light
Streaming in between the heavy clouds
Flowing and sinking without end
Pouring into the rising and falling edge of the tide
The overflowing light envelops it
A rainbow crosses the vast waters
In the distance, a new sky is born
Funny thing is that 汀 (migiwa) and 渚 (nagisa) mean the same thing (the edge of the water) but are different words

The emotions inside me right now are too much to even describe...
This is it, for music available at this point in time, this is the top, I don’t think it really gets better than this
Someone gave me this song and is the best dedication have made me... Wonderful.
I don't have words for this.
I love it.
I wish someone gifted this track to me
Such a wonderful song. It's hypnotic. It's a tune I've found very difficult to get out of my head.
The judged quiet earth
From a crack in the heavy clouds
The light shines and wraps around
As it simply continues to flow
And pours into the curved seashore
Overflowing light
Wraps around
A rainbow spans the vast water
Beyond that, a new sky commences
one of the best songs i've ever heard. i'm surprised i've never heard of boris until now, but damn i'm pretty glad i know of him now
it’s a group of 3! atsuo on drums , wata on guitar & takeshi on bass / guitar. definitely check out more of their stuff man it’s worth it
@@besvimelsee ended up doing this, flood is still my favourite by a mile but a lot of their other music is cool too. i liked feedbacker, pink and some of their more recent works quite a bit.
@@ryli06Nice! If you're in the US you should consider catching them touring their album Amplifier Worship in full
That's the heaviest goddamn riff I've ever heard
6:50 this makes me tear up every time i listen to it
One of the best songs ever! Reminds alot of Red Ran Amber by Pelican
Seeing this live is transcendent
so goddamn beautiful
this is when it hits you hard
great band
Hardest track out
8:35 I came
Best trap song of 2016
the half way point in the song where it gets loud, every time I hear this is sounds like November Rain.
lol i also noticed that
Noticed that as well. I thought my mind was playing with me…glad to know I wasn’t the only one.
The second part of this is 'Inno del Perdersi' by Verdena. Amazing.
+Izzy _Yogashi "Inno del Perdersi" really sounds like a tribute to a lot of songs. By the way, Flood is an inimitable masterpiece.
