    We loved Wheaton! Our kids where born there and we loved the area for the ten years we lived there. I ride a lot and I was next to Danada Forest Preserve and could go over two block and get on the trail and head to regional tail. I received my associates degree from College of DupPage and I still sit on advisory board for CIT Deparment.

      Thanks for your comment! It sounds like you have great memories of living in Wheaton and the surrounding area. You’re right-the proximity to Danada Forest Preserve and the regional trails is definitely a great perk. We’re glad to hear that you had a great experience with College of DuPage as well, and that you’re still involved as an advisory board member. We hope you have many more happy memories of Wheaton!

    • @shawnyoung8752
      @shawnyoung8752 2 года назад

      Glenbard North is in Carol Stream / Glendale Heights. Glendard East is in Lombard. Dont know if Unicorporated kids with Glen Ellyn zips went to east. Like the County farm Jewell road people. Was pleasant hill road from tracks to st.charles road and west. Wheaton and unicorporated winfield? I live on the west side of County farm 75 north of tracks. I could have gone to North. Central or West Chicago. On west side of county farm north of jewell i beleive it was w.chicago. on east side i guess falcon people. Anyway Glenbard was combined with ge and lombard. Yet what do we want having blue collar kids going to west. Much like W. Central having to split with the new school North. They would have to take the warrenville kids. Instead warrenville kids went to wheaton north. Then they got new school. Had some great football and baseball teams. When they close down. Central moves in. We get carol stream kids. Nothing against them. You just dont have the Football basketball talent to compete in DVC.

    Wheaton is a really good place except our school but that’s probably because I go to there school! Our houses are really nice! I love living here but actually we only have 2 public high schools. Our only probably in the school system is our gym program! It’s really bad! We don’t do anything except run in circles! If you live in Wheaton I would recommend 302 ir is a really really nice burger place! Sorry haha just realized how much I said so far!

    Very nice presentation however, you might want to try getting around with a wheelchair or a walker and find that Wheaton is very discriminatory toward people with disabilities.
    Unfortunately, they’re over 30 years behind on accessibility laws, both state and federal.

      There is a multi tier system and Wheaton Discriminating against low income, disabled and homeless With blatant disregard for constitutional rights and privileges.
      Very simply put, City officials, The chamber, the merchants Association, and a significant number of restaurants and businesses just don’t care.

    problem with Wheaton is most all the homes are old, some are very old.

    • @ralphieandryan
      @ralphieandryan  Год назад

      Thanks for your comment! Wheaton is a great city with a lot of character and charm! While some of the homes are older, there are also newer homes to choose from. In addition, many people choose to invest in remodeling and updating older homes to make them feel more modern. If you're interested in learning more about the homes in Wheaton, feel free to reach out to us directly. You can also take a look at some of the renovation projects in the area to get an idea of how older homes can be updated and refreshed. Thanks again for your comment!

    • @naturalhealing9970
      @naturalhealing9970 Год назад +1

      @@ralphieandryan I live in Glen Ellyn, am very familiar with the area. The issue with older homes is often much more than cosmetic updating. For example, often there is not a vapor barrier under the basement floor. There were no regulations on drain tile prior to around 1980, so many do not have fully functioning drain tile systems. The siding and roofing materials were inferior to what we have today. Sometimes the main sewer line is 3" instead of 4", under-sized. Insulation that is 50+ yrs old is sometimes not functioning. Ventilation, in roof and bath fans are not up to code. You could be looking at rebuilding a large part of the house.

    • @ralphieandryan
      @ralphieandryan  Год назад +1

      Thanks for your comment and your insight! You're right, there are some potential issues to consider when purchasing an older home. It's important to do your research and have a professional inspect the property before making a decision. However, with the right care and attention, older homes can be updated and renovated to be just as functional and beautiful as newer homes. Thanks again for your comment!
