I saw Midge last night in Atlanta and he has all the chops he had in 1983, it was amazing! The whole room held their breath whenever he played his Ultravox hits and "Fade To Grey"
My music teacher always used to say that Midge Ure and This song (at live aid) was the greatest vocal performance of all time. and I concur, however for me this is a close second.
The more I see legends like this come over to play in Ireland as though nothing is wrong here , the more I wonder if the Irish deserve everything thats happening here. Brian Cox has spoken out this week on how subjugated people have been in Ireland, how forgotten how misjudged but quite frankly, seeing many Irish do nothing, saunter on as if sure its 'grand', they would rather watch shite on the still church-affiliated RTE, reading the Indo ,its sad and its a disgrace. Im too embarassed and tortured to admit to anyone im Irish now, this country is a regime not a democracy.
Yes, the music is indeed weaving and rhythm is calling.... Awesome stuff.
Absolute breathtaking. He has looked after his voice, maybe helped by avoiding drink and drugs that others succumb too??, and sounds great.
Wow he's still got it! Amazing voice still
God, I miss the 80's so bad...
Chills up the spine! "This means nothing to me...Oh...Vienna"
