- Time for the no bomb, no release run this time.
So the overall difficulty of this game was a bit overrated, but this is not unusual for whenever a new shmup comes out.
A ton of new strategies were found out just this past week, which make the game a lot easier to deal with.
The difficulty balancing is still a bit weird though and the bad spells are still bad.
The stage 4 endspam is still incredibly difficult but it's doable without bombs and releases.
You have to stream to the right and move back to the left during the aimed blue stuff.
You have to move to the right pretty quickly though in order to not get caught by the weird aimed shots from the yellow fairies, which can sometimes shoot ahead of you.
You're also kinda at the mercy of what pattern the random slow red bullets give you, sometimes you get something completely ridiculous.
You can safespot Naruko's first spell by aligning your options with the boss healthbar ring, I kinda fuck it up by going too low though.
The 2nd non is like a harder version of the 3rd non and can get really stupid depending on how the boss moves.
You can stall on the stage 5 midboss to completely skip the laser spam, which is nice.
There are also a bunch of pacifism strats for the stage 5 and 6 start orbs.
The stage 5 bosses aren't as bad as they first seemed. The first non is learnable and the 2nd non, while tricky, can be done by streaming inside the purple lanes.
The last two spells are still terrible though.
The final boss isn't that bad but she has a bunch of attacks that are just dice rolls on whether you get possible RNG or not, it's pretty annoying.
Overall I would say that the game has about four spells that have really bad RNG/design to them: the stage 5 bosses final two spells and the final boss 2nd and 4th spell.
These require luck in order to not get randomly screwed over by them.
There is one accidental release in this run on the penultimate card. Luckily it didn't damage the boss nor did it cancel any relevant bullets, so it should be fine.
If you want to call this run not legit because of that though, then I can't really stop you.

the danmaku in this game is absolutely fantastic, i love the patterns in stage 5
I guess no one read the description before they watch the video, just to make it clear.
That release did not cancel any bullet or damage the boss so it does not count as released.
Its arguable. Honestly its up to ones own opinion at that point.
I personally would let it pass, but if there was someone that claimed the run was not No Release... I wont exactly argue aganist them, either.
even if he didn't accidentally release, the run would have cleared in pretty much the same way.
It cancelled some bullets though, if you look closely. So it's not a legit no release run.
Tivoli yeah it does, but since those bullets weren't even going into his direction, I will say its okay. But let see whether jaimers will do the run again to stop the arguement or just let it go.
Considering the way he spoke about this in the description, I *highly* doubt hes going to do another run purely to stop the argument... and theres nothing wrong with that.

It's a little boring that everyone uses Reimu+Winter for these runs.
Nonetheless it was a really good run, congrats on the clear ^_^
How about Cirno+Summer or Aya in general.
Now that's a difficult run with NB/ND/NR.
Oh yeah, I forgot the subtype changes the final spellcard and winter is the easiest one to no-bomb and no-release

This realise is perfect for The non-spell of 4th boss, you can stay on her head and only grace her attacks, release season, grace and release again. It's perfect for farm green items.

Well, bullet hells are precisely about practicing enough until you get down most patterns, not sure what's overrated about the difficulty. Congrats on the run~
If you don't mind me asking, how would you rank the four final spells in order of difficulty?
Spring >= Summer > Fall >>> Winter seems to be the general consensus
Spring > Summer >>> Fall > Winter
Similar but different to RB's rank... Spring is definitely harder than Summer I feel, and there's a big gap between that and the other two. Fall seems alright to me (a bit fast but not bad) and Winter is dense but not too bad.
You know that winter release buffs your shots a bit ?

The non-spells remind me of Yukari.
Okina is one of the Youkai Sages that created Gensokyo, so it is likely that they have similar designs in their danmaku.
euniceerica she is a god not a youkai altough its argueable because she was a tengu that split into two races
Oh what a joke, most of the players in this game use reimu and their winter season. Although they play it on lunatic difficulty.
