I've watched your channel for years Hodgie, and especially enjoyed watching the dynamic between you and the young fella morph from teacher/student/dad/son to just good mates enjoying a flick as equals. You done good!
@@stevehershberger2672 ate, that’s an awes one thing to say and I appreciate it heaps hey. He’s growing into a young man and I’ve really enjoyed being able to share that with him. Won’t be long and he’ll find other interests and I’m ok with that. All any parent can hope for is that they’ve shown as much good stuff in life that they can use in their future life. Thanks for the kind words mate. I’ll pass on that awesome comment to the boy. He’s in there eating about $50.00 worth of food at the moment. Ha ha ha. 😂👌🏻
@@Theaussiefishingkid that’s an old Scorpion I bought of a bloke about 6 years ago. He put ceramic bearings in it but couldn’t handle it so he sold it to me. Love the little thing for light lures hey. I put heat shrink on the handles coz they went all gluey and sticky. All good now though. 👌🏻
I can’t get anything to smack a hardbody at the moment. (Tho haven’t tried the TB80 yet) might have to come grab a couple. Been getting plenty of big jacks in the mid 40s on paddle tail plastics. Especially them MMD Fat Skippers in white. I run em on a 1/4oz 5/0 J style TT. Though not fishing as much of that Ho Chi min lookin mangroves you boys are hitting. Love the vids Hodgie. So informative and detailed mate. Keep em up.
@@benny82ish Mate, they’re great fish.😜 I find the J heads fine on the outskirts of the snags, but when you’re right up in the thick stuff, weedless definitely helps us snag less. Try the 5/0 1/4oz Atomic Seekers when ya get a chance with the screw in spring in the nose. They’re our favourite but hard to get at present mate. 😉👌🏻
@@Adamhere27 it’s a common practice mate. I know plenty of ex pro’s that used to do it. Big bunched up snags like that don’t just disappear and the stumps left where they’ve been snapped off give it away. Often bow marks in the mud too mate. It’s the fact that the snag gets destroyed that pisses anglers off. 😉

Lost my only TB-80 on a juicy snag last week, 30 minutes later I bagged my PB Jack on half a mullet 🥲😂
@@BarryMacokiner1 ha ha ha. That’s a bugger and a great thing all at the same time hey. 😂👌🏻
Good one lads! Ive been looking at the sugar minnows, always thought they looked good. Might have to get a few on the next round ! Cheers Hodgies 👍🎣
@@Jake_UpNorthFishingAdventures small profile and easy to cast and work. 👌🏻
Two fish on one lure 👍🏻
I can’t get one fish on one lure most of the time 🤣
@@NoFishingIdea77 ha ha ha not doesn’t happen often mate, but it’s pretty cool when it does. 😉👌🏻
