I believe some McDonald's in America still use the "Orange Lavaburst" flavor display on their fountain machines, even though I'm sure it's just minute maid Orange
I remember my school getting soda machines filled with Fruitopia when I was in 7th grade. Right after PE was over, we would all be heading over to the machines to buy either bottles of Fruitopia or water. I also remember drinking those Mario sodas when I was in kindergarten. It would cool if they brought it back for a limited run when the animated movie came out a few weeks ago.

As far as I know last I checked Jolt is still sold. It just isn't sold on general shelves in America. I believe you can still get Jolt if you buy it online or at least you could last I checked.
Does anyone remember an energy soda called Vault, that came out in the late 2000's? It was like surge, but their slogan was "drinks like a soda, kicks like an energy drink." It was one of my favorites, I always loved how over the top their commercials were. But sadly it was discontinued.
YES!!! I used to LOVE those things! I even picked up the Vault Red Blitz when it came out. Then it got pulled, rebranded as Monster Mutant Drink, and pulled again.
you can still get mountain dew pitch black from various Sheetz gas stations in the north east. a majority of them have the flavor in their fountain drink stations
Fun fact. Surge was only been sold in Norway after it got pulled in the rest of the world. It was too popular to be canceled here in the early 2000s, and has been around since. Tho under a different name "urge".

Did your country had Pepsi Red? It came out with Pepsi Blue but clearly Pepsi Blue was the winner in the Philippines. I only saw that Pepsi Red was cinnamon flavored much like the no. 10 on this list
There was a beer that came out a couple years ago called Oculto which was the same idea as Tequiza. Only it was marketed as “beer with agave aged in tequila barrels” and didn’t have the “lime flavor”. Though just like Tequiza, It was discontinued even though it was refreshingly good and had a pretty big following at the time. I miss that beer! Also, WWE brought Pitch Black back in 2023, not 2003.
I thought I'd had that beer before. Thanks for reminding me of the name. I could see the label of the six pack I had, as I read it. I'm sorry they discontinued it on you. It wasn't the worst beer I've had. Apparently Heineken still distributes a tequila beer called Desperados (glucose syrup, instead of agave syrup), but they stopped selling it in the US. If you want to spend about $100 on 24 bottles, it can still be done. Of course there's a lot of them available from multiple microbreweries, which the original did as well, but they're not all light lagers with agave syrup. I was just searching around for fun and like the idea of a tequila barrel aged imperial (10% abv) gose (salty sour) made by Founders Brewing Company (in Michigan) called Más Agave Clásica. There were a few others that would probably taste a bit closer to Occulto, Agave Wheat by Breckenridge Brewery, for example. IDK how available any of these are (I've seen Founders available in stores and I'm in AZ) but it's nearly May, so you might want to check your local breweries.
Jones does a turkey dinner soda, too. It's.... bizarre. Tastes like soda going down. But the burp tastes like gravy. Orbitz is always one of the first things to be brought up whenever I reminisce about stuff from the 90s with people
I don't think Pitch Black is discontinued, but instead more of a seasonal release like the McRib since I was able to find it on shelves a couple months ago
Thank you for reminding me about Lemon Ice, that was my favorite Gatorade flavor. Leave it in the freezer just long enough to get some ice crystals in it and guzzle that down; divine.
I just saw Pitch Black at a store a few days ago. Maybe they're planning to pull it again, but it's here now. Also, how in the name of Slimer does Ecto-cooler not make this list?! That stuff was *insanely* popular and even brought back for a limited time for the recent movie.
I know. I just had some the day before yesterday. Are they really gonna sit here and say its discontinued. Also they should’ve caught what the guy said about it making an appearance at a WWE event. Cuz Cody Rhodes was not blonde in 2003. 😂😂😂
For those mentioning about Pitch Black being back. Yes and no. They brought it back but not as a perm flavor. It's is/was a limited time drink and some place might still have it but overall they stopped making it again. Well at least for now.
I'm surprised Sobe soda didn't make the list here. I remember it it the early years of 2000. It tasted a lot like Dr. Pepper. After a few years the product was eventually removed from the shelves. I haven't seen the Sobe Mr. Green since.

Uh, pitch black isn't discontinued. I bought a 12-pack earlier this year and occasionally spot it when I'm grocery shopping. It all depends on where you live. It's also one of their many flavors they bring back for a limited run each year (usually around Halloween).
There was an energy drink in the mid 2000s called 9 Iron. I was in 6th grade and after they got done serving the main lunch menu options, they would close down 2 of the 3 lunch windows and the last windows would stay open for the rest of the lunch period where they would sell snacks and such. 9 Irons somehow were sold there and that was THE best hahaha. A couple 25 cent sugar cookies and a 9 Iron after lunch was the best.
Surge was made available in the Upper Midwest a few years ago, especially at Burger Kings with Coke Freestyle machines. I've never had it, so couldn't tell you if it's still around. It was later in stores, too. Oh, and OK Soda had a distinct taste that I personally loved. It wasn't a cola, it wasn't like Dr Pepper, or anything similar. It was dark like those, but really tasty, and hard to figure out. The marketing wasn't the only thing that made OK stand out. It also wasn't available in all North American markets, which for sure hurt it.
Pepsi Holiday and Pepsi Blue were my two favorite sodas ever. Even my mom, who doesn't like soda very much, loved Pepsi Holiday and we hoped it would be a new edition to our Christmas Eve dinner instead of Canada Dry Cranberry.
We have Mountain Dew Pitch Black here in Canada. I know because I saw it in Circle K when I went there twice today. They've had it for a while. Fruitopia is available in movie theatres
Pitch Black did come back briefly this year, but I think it's once again gone. While it was out in stores though, even Kickstart had their own Pitch Black flavor. But it disappeared with it's regular soda counterpart
Yeah. It was just a limited time thing. If you looked at the label or marketing, it said "Limited Time" or "Limited Edition." But it should be a permanent thing though. They had to stop making it in 2020 because of all the lockdowns and stuff. Delivery trucks were having issues getting resources to both Coco-Cola and Pepsi because all these companies and stuff shut down due to the fear of a certain virus spreading. And with that, Coke and Pepsi had to limit their resources to the their top 10 selling drinks. For Pepsi, Pitch Black wasn't in their top 10. So it got cut. But I think the two are still struggling to get back to normal. So that probably explains why Pitch Black's return was just for a limited time. They don't got the right amount of resources yet to bring it back permanently.
I think the drink Sobe should be on this list. I don't see them sold in stores anymore with the different flavors. I used to like the messages in the bottle caps.
Today I learned that they switched to plastic in 2010, so I haven't had that stuff in awhile. They were too sweet. I sort of liked the orange carrot flavored one but the few times I tried a different flavor, I didn't try it again.
I just finished a couple of 6 packs of Pitch Black last week. It comes around now and then, just like Baja Blast should be on store shelves in a short time here.
Some of these drinks are still available in select countries, and you even mentioned Surge being available... What infuriates me more is the absence of two of best soft drinks in the 2000s, Vault and Sprite Remix.
I tried Bacon Soda once. I opened the bottle and was rushed by the smell of rendered pork fat. I took one sip and almost hurled in response. It didn't taste like bacon-- it could be charitably described as something vaguely pork and grease with carbonation. I poured it down the drain and then dropped a disposal cleaner in afterward.
I found some in probably 2015 or 16, but I haven't seen it since. It tastes just like regular Pepsi, which is why I can't imagine that it's popular enough to keep around.
Hello Aubrey dont know how old you are but I'm 36 I remember sometime in the early 2000s a drink called snapple elements was in a glass bottle with different flavors last year they brought it back with a few flavors I've always liked the rain one so good lol dont know if you remember that drink.
My father and my LOVED Pepsi Holiday Spice. Was a unique taste and felt very Christmas. We loaded up during the holidays. With both my parents since passed would be an awesome way to connect my kids to their grandparents gotta sign that petition
I never had it but I wonder if it could be recreated by grabbing a regular pepsi and literally tossing some holiday spices into it, cinnamon, nutmeg, maybe a clove (or their just their essential oils so you don;t have bits of plant matter in you drink).
Worked at Pepsi in the 2000’s. I never saw Pepsi Holiday Spice at work or on commercials. I wonder now how limited it’s reach was. Pitch Black still exists. I miss Josta, the greatest energy drink ever!
A quick google search would've showed you that Fruitopia is still available in 2023, at least in Canada. Also had some Crystal pepsi when they brought it back like 2 years ago, it was nothing special, tasted similar to regular pepsi.

They brought Mtn Dew Pitch Black back a few months ago where I live in the US
Some of these drinks are still available in select countries, and you even mentioned Surge being available...
I poured it down the drain and then dropped a disposal cleaner in afterward.
i have a buddy that used bacon soda as a punishment for his kids
This list alone makes me long the day to see Crystal Pepsi back on the shelves😢❤
I found some in probably 2015 or 16, but I haven't seen it since. It tastes just like regular Pepsi, which is why I can't imagine that it's popular enough to keep around.
To Me, it tasted like a cross between Pepsi and Mountain Dew. It wasn't too bad.
Man.... frutopia was my HS drink of choice at lunch. That stuff was SOOOOO good.
I’m surprised they didn’t mention Tab or Orbitz
Hello Aubrey dont know how old you are but I'm 36 I remember sometime in the early 2000s a drink called snapple elements was in a glass bottle with different flavors last year they brought it back with a few flavors I've always liked the rain one so good lol dont know if you remember that drink.
Surge helped me get through high school in the 90s. Part of the reason I go to Burger King more now.
@@zachcrawford5 I imagine you could but the cans are a part of it too. Having the logo and pic. The whole experience
Worked at Pepsi in the 2000’s. I never saw Pepsi Holiday Spice at work or on commercials. I wonder now how limited it’s reach was.
Pitch Black still exists.
I miss Josta, the greatest energy drink ever!
I’m gonna say sunny delight now and hope it’s on the list lol 😅
That holiday spice Pepsi drink gives me an idea 💡. Coke should try a pumpkin spice flavour.
Surge and pitch black are both available as we speak
I tried the Pitch Black Mountain Dew literally just this year. But where’s Vault on this list? That soda was amazing
Mountain Dew Pitch Black doesn't exist anymore?
So that crazy neon glowing WWE match was all for nothing? 🤦
They brought it back this year
LOL the man said wwe………. Yeah a good chunk of us missed that promo, not everyone trying to watch that crap. Weird storylines and cringe entertainers.
@@ShadowRose822 It's limited time and most of it is gone now.
Oof. Four Loko...the drink of my early 20s 😅
@@gabe6394 got the job done tho
They brought back Pitch Black, I see it everywhere right now
I slightly remember surge. I always viewed it as a Rugrats drink lol.
But honestly seeing it reminds me more of the long gone "Vault"
Bring back' Brawndo'
"The Thirst Mutilator"
It's got electrolytes
Brisk Fruit Punch I miss youuu
I have pitch black in my fridge right now from the limited release this year
2023 not 2003
😂😂😂 I'm drinking a pitch black right NOW!!!! 😂😂😂
A quick google search would've showed you that Fruitopia is still available in 2023, at least in Canada. Also had some Crystal pepsi when they brought it back like 2 years ago, it was nothing special, tasted similar to regular pepsi.
Bought a pitch black from sev yesterday. Definitely still available in Canada at least
Can you please do top 100 paw patrol characters?
Floats made with 7-up gold **chef's kiss**
WE NEED SURGE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
