Mike I still think it would be awesome to see you play in a open PDGA tourney and just see how you do. it would be so cool if we saw you pop up on a lead card at a big tourney. I know you only play disc golf as a hobby but I think it would be cool. I also think it would be interesting to see how you compare to alot of the pros. Just something to think about. I can't imagine I'm the first person to say something like this to you
A lot of people have mentioned it, and I've given it a try, but its not for me. With my hobbies...whether I'm lifting weights, throwing discs, playing Dark Souls, skateboarding, cycling...I like testing myself against my own capabilities. If someone else shoots a certain score at a course or lands a trick or rides x miles in x hours, that's their own goal. What they're doing doesn't play into what I'm doing, it isn't a part of my fuel at all. When I finish a round of golf I'm asking myself if I shot as well as I think I could have, not how well my round stacks up against another persons round. I spent a lot of time doing team sports. Basketball, football, baseball, soccer, hockey etc. A large part of the appeal of activities like disc golf and skateboarding is that I can enjoy them solo or with friends. I know people mean well with their encouragement, and I do appreciate it, but the things I have a passion for don't require a competitive setting to experience.
Loving all the videos lately, thank you Mike!
It's great seeing discing videos from you again! The Axis drive on 15 was impressive dude.
Thanks! The Axis has been treating me well lately.
Man, you keep finding the perfect music for your vids.
