The 915 engine makes it even more interesting with a 380km/h cruise. 380 is just enough to really go places. What's max cruise in yours in practice? 290?
Hahaha! A VL3 is an excellent aircraft, designed to fly fast, very fast so indeed 'slow' can be his limitation. Therefore, as always, the pilot should know his aircraft, flight characteristics and limitations! Also keep in mind that performances change with more weight as you take luggage, a passenger,... . Can you say in general that a fast, low wing, aircraft can be less forgiving? In practice, average speed will be roughly between 270-320 km/h depending on the wind conditions.
