Nice video - what is your minimum distance vertically and horizontically to coulds for VFR flights in Germany?

That depends on the airspace you are flying in.

Same here in Sweden. In uncontrolled airspace it’s 1,5km horizontal and 1000’ vertical. So we wouldn’t be able to fly in the clouds as you do in the beginning of the video.

In the uncontrolled Golf Airspace in Germany there is no exact distance required. It is only forbidden to fly into them.
In uncontrolled Echo Airspace we have the same 1,5km horizontal and 1000’ vertical.

Ich denke die Aquila reagiert einfach deutlich spontaner auf leichte Thermik als z.B eine C172, aber der Zeiger ist auch sehr empfindlich.
