  • The RSX idle has been high, staying around 2k rpm and never dropping. It's time to clean the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) which is located right below the throttle body. This is a quick video on that and also replacing the rubber gasket.

Can you just spray carb cleaner in it ?

Not in throttle body, but the IACV below it. Spraying generally doesnt go to that area to get rid of the build up.

Why don’t you just get a new iacv?

A new OEM IACV is $350. And cleaning is less than $10 for the gasket and it fixed the problem
