@@coolyhighflow1267 Very interesting point you made here. I’m not super familiar with Aaron Pierre or his work. Do you think there’s a rule/grace period where Hollywood has made it that one Black actor can rise to the top at a time or multiple? Why or why not?
Sister, it was SOOO refreshing to watch/listen to you. Bcz I feel the EXACT same way about him. While I agree that he's an handsome man, to me it's his heart and spirit that I feel drawn to. Granted it could be PR but I personally don't believe that. I hope he's okay and doesn't give into any pressure. I would love to hava a conversation with him too one day. I hope for that opportunity for you as well. 1st time seeing you on RUclips, great job 👏🏾
@@loovej Aww thank you so much sweetheart! 🤍 this comment made my day! 🥹 he is handsome but his spirit is the icing on the cake. I don’t either. @@AmberUnfilteredShowAwww you welcome. Keep talking from the heart, what's for you and who's for you will come your way. Rooting for us👏🏾 . Take care 🙋🏾♀️

@AmberUnfilteredShow I do! We'd have to define success, though. If simply working on financially and critically successful projects and winning awards is the bar, definitely so. Ryan Coogler and Jordan Peele come to mind. MBJ should take a backseat from social media in my opinion. It damaged his reputation a little dating Lori. Especially after the break up. That's when the "corny" label started, before that he was being shouted out by Nikki Minaj during awards shows.
@ Beautiful response! You gave me a lot to think about. You’re right - there’s so many different definitions of success. Yes he was more forthcoming when he was with Lori and that didn’t sit right with the public I think. Contrary to popular belief, I thought it was sweet how much he shared with us. It was nice to see him love someone out loud. I don’t know if we will ever see this side of him again but I completely respect his decision for being private again. Thank you so much for interacting with me! Hope you’re having a nice day! 🙏🏾
@ Oh yes how could I forget Jordan Peele? His craft comes first and I love that about his trajectory. Ryan Coogler is the same way as well. I guess the curious side of me wants to know more about these giants in our community.
5:16 "he hasn't had a break" - how many people can have a break from work in the year of our lord 2025? So few.... We are all working our asses off, I mean, if I was making his salary I wouldn't stop either because that train can stop at any time
Great video, very pleasant to sit and listen to your thoughts ~ I had two of my own during. One, I wonder if any of that survivor's guilt you mentioned he may have could have been made more intense/come to the forefront after Chadwick Boseman passed; I don't know if he's talked about it, but frankly I'd imagine it's hard to see someone on a similar life path to you be taken away by something like cancer. Just mentally grappling with it, you know? It was honestly tragic just how fast it all was. Second, I'm in a similar boat with/for my family and it can be really hard to delegate any kinds of tasks, not just because of trust but because frankly a lot of the people that you would delegate things to simply... don't have the skillset to accomplish those tasks? And you don't want to set your family/friends up for failure, or feel the need to swoop in and 'fix' everything =/ that phrase 'if you want it done right, do it yourself' kind of always comes to mind because if I do delegate a part of my business to someone I have to fully accept that they're doing it and they're going to do it their way, not my way and not with my abilities/talents/whatever. Which isn't to say they have none of their own, just, not all things can be easily delegated, especially if you're working with the skillsets of people in your family or friend group. They're good at their own things and they may honestly not be applicable to whatever you're trying to get help with, it's just an unfortunate reality. I always liked Michael B. Jordan in anything I saw with him, he really does have that 'it' factor that's so hard to define; but he also strikes me as a quiet and private person, so hopefully the silence isn't indicative of anything bad going on for him. Either way he's a great talent, it'd be cool to see him in more projects but only if he's getting the respite he deserves, I totally agree. Hope you and your husband have a great new year! Thanks for the vid.
@@awhitney3063 First and foremost, thank you so much for taking the time to respond and craft such an articulate response. ♥️ These are all thoughts that I have never considered but I truly believe you’re on to something. I could totally see that loss changing him fundamentally as I know how close they were and how much they enjoyed working together. They were like brothers. So to have family taken away from you so quickly without the chance to say goodbye must have been devastating. That’s true about delegating tasks but not being sure if someone has the skillset for the tasks you need done or trusting that they can do it in the way you’d like for it to be done. By him swooping in to correct/fix, it just creates more work for him on the back end. And he’s already got enough as it is on his plate. I wonder who he is when he’s not on camera or behind it for that matter. I do think he comes across as more quiet or shy, which is totally okay. I hope he continues to do more projects as well…after he gets a much needed break/vacation. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and to interact with me. It was a treat reading your response. Hope you and your family have a great new year. ✨ Thank you for wishing us a good one as well! Have a wonderful day! ♥️

He's a producer and director. He's developing Creed 4 and a new Thomas Crown Affair movie.
He's taking the old school actor approach which is smart. Plus you don't want to be overexposed.
@@ahmorgan Never thought about this. That makes sense. Do you think that an actor can still be successful taking this approach in such a digital era?
