So, zu is only dativ and for destination. Can we use it for closed places and open spaces? Supermarket,concerts...for mountain? Ich farhe ins Berg,zu and auf also can be used?
Hallo👋 Danke für deine Frage.
Zu always takes the dative and the dative is used for location and the destination, not the movement to the destination. For supermarket, it is correct to say: Ich gehe zum Supermarkt. Even though movement is inferred, the dative has to be used because of zu. The same with this example: Ich gehe zu einem Konzert. However, it would be: Ich fahre in die Berge - In this case, zu is not required and movement to the mountains implies the accusative with in.
@@coffeebreakgerman Danke für ihre Erklarung!

👍
Auf. Like on, On a roof, on a mountain, on an island. Use with open space and platz. Are you at or going into ? Festival, event, party
An. Use with reference water. Very close to something / at. At the bus stop, at the microphone
In. to a closed space, or a cities, region country using an article. Surrounded something like woods.
Nach. Use for destinations without articles. Use in to state location. In Scotland, nach Scotland
Zu. Destination only. Takes dative. wir gehen zum Konzert. We are going to the doctors, my friends house
Bei. Location. Takes dative. At the doctors
Gute Zusammenfassung! 👍
